- The Kia EV6 is an electric crossover offered with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. We took the EV6 all-wheel drive on a day-long drive across different road conditions, including highways, city roads, village roads and multiple inclines to get a healthy combination for the drive route. This is not a hypermiling run nor are we forcing the EV6 to run out of charge as quickly as possible.

Thumbs up for professional way of presentation. Crisp and clean.

My dad technically got 635kms in ev6 when he went to Kanyakumari from Bangalore but he was just trying to get max range without ac with ac at fan speed 1,2 you’d get 570kms range on a non steep plane at 70-80kmph as this speed is the sweet spot of ev6 to get max range
It iş awd variant gt line
this is 75 lacks vehicle.. buy 50 lacks suv and by remaining 25 lacks u can fill 25000 litres fuel... and by avg of 8 kmpl it will drive u 2 lacks kilometers or if not atleast 1.5 lacks km🙏🙏🙏
Rs 4.2 per kilometer thats at par with CNG cars…i’m still skeptical about EV’s its like new age Trending Technology… it will be just optional ..
Oh Bhai 60 lakh ke gadi PE kon CNG lagayega?? Ev6 is a sports electric car as per the price 4 rs is nothing for the owner. Try tata EV cars or let's see the upcoming maruti ev, that car can easily do 2rs per km. Electric cars are expensive because cars are getting expensive too.
This is 4WD performance EV, 0-100 5.2 Sec, sports car territory performance. Budget EVs are good, like Nexon EV.
I'm using Nexon EV and if it is charged at Home Infrastructure, then the running cost is slightly less than Rs. 1/Km which goes upto Rs. 2.5/Km on Public charging infrastructure as these chargers are charging from Rs. 15 per unit to Rs. 25 per unit.
Ordinary people still thinks like that..
Car mei mileage ke alawa bhi bahot se aur factors hote like power space comfort safety etc. You can not dismiss a Lamborghini saying ki mileage toh 3-4 ki deti hai, meri alto toh 20 deti hai! 😄 Plus this was external fast charging network, they will charge a premium for availing their service. If you use normal charger at home, it will cost significantly less.
Definitely interesting. 500km/ charge is a good threshold that can easily convert an ICE person to EV. Perhaps the day a budget EV like the nexon max crosses 500 km real world range will be the infliction point for EVs in India. The only question I'd have is what is this increased strain on electricity demand going to do to electricity prices? And is it possible we see some new taxes on these fast chargers
8-9 years later, need battery worth 25-30 Lakh
@@naughtyUphillboy bro EVs are becoming more like smartphones. They’ll have yearly refreshes till the tech matures. Although these cars are for early adopters, for manufacturers, the EV battery will essentially become a huge business down the line
People will still buy it to be “cool”
@@gp_here In early 20th century there were a lot of eVs, they lost to the gasoline cars, the current generation of EVs will lose to the coming hydrogen tech cars. Mark my words.
@@naughtyUphillboy may the force be with you...
And on a much lighter note,
someone will write an article on how a delayed Tesla roadster caused the EV downfall 🤣
@@gp_here , EVs will be replaced by hydrogen tech, in 20 yeaars.
Please do a similar test for the ZS EV.

Wow you guys are very very good. Fun, no nonsense, to the point, effective. Take me along next time or consider doing so.
106 /- to 110 /- petrol. Average of all cities ok and range of all car near about 18-25 as per depend on driver
You will get range Ev6 500+ with charge 120 kv Rs 2138/-Better to afford a petrol car, saving time and not having to find a charging station, total nonsense.
In case of an accident is the ev battery cost covered under regular Vehicle insurance? Like compressive insurance or if others are at fault will their 3rd party insurance cover my battery cost?
Did you find the answer
this is what i needed, thanks! extra thanks for zero cringe
Nice Video but would be better if Range test for EV's done with full load or atleast 4 passengers
To be fair, both of us are large enough to simulate the load of 4 average passengers - Tushar
@@zigwheels ok 😀👍
@@zigwheels 🤣🤣🤣
Cars are generally not driven with full load and generally with a bigger family the cars make as many stops on a longer route.
@@novelaviator ok
Is this Rear Wheel Drive or All wheel Drive ?
A no nonsense.....made with sense video. Hats off. Hope other youtubers follow this thumb rule soon.
shoot we chimed the same feelings..what a fun 8 mins
For the first time hyndai did a good job on the tail gate design or else other cars looked like something crashed into it
Hyundai?
Also can u tell me at which charger did u charge the ev6 cuz one of the 120kw charger is near my home in Nanded city in pune and the charger u charged the car at doesn’t look like the one near me
Charged at Shell’s 120kW charger in Pune
Bro that charging station is charging a lot...cuz in another i saw the was charging from 150khw charging station and it only cost him 1500
Truckers turn the Lonavala into Parking lot!!!! :) That good one
At almost Rs 26 per unit, it is the most expensive EV charging station available (120 kW). The Kerala State Electricity Board charges Rs 13 to Rs 14 per unit, including GST. Usually, state electricity boards offer the lowest rates, while private operators charge the highest.
Yes. This particular fast charger is quite expensive. We chose it simply for convenience. Charging at home, and at other operators that offer slower chargers will be cheaper. :)
@@zigwheels Very true. Convenience is also important, especially when money is not a matter.
"I, myself, am an EV supporter. It's not about just the pollution - it's about the economy of my country. Even at 26 rupees per unit, the money stays within our borders. With fossil fuels, all the money flows out to another country."
@@reetangovindji6009money stays within country .... lol ! Chinese have started charging us in rupees??? And don't tell me we are self sufficient in coal !!! Ignorance reeks in your comment.

Battery prices would go down and the EV prices too. Premium segment would still remain irrespective of battery price. Example, a fully functional smart phone is now available between 15k to 200k.
Battery technology needs to be changed. Li-ion battery is not the future. We should r&d on new battery materials.
Makes sense at 30-35 lakh.
Hello !! Is it illegal to convert a faired bike into a naked one ?? I will not change anything else.
Alterations to a vehicle’s original form is not legal. Whether that change is worth the possible legal hassle is for you to decide.
What’s the actual range when 5 people are sitting
So ioniq better or ev6 or c40 recharge
The Ioniq 5 is the most balanced of the lot. The EV6 AWD offers more excitement but the asking price is a lot higher owing to the fact that it’s an import while the Ioniq is assembled locally
@@zigwheels ok thanks ❤️
You can test volvo c40?
Bhai 2100 rs for 500 km of range . Fir electric car me itne paise laga ke kya fayada ?
Charging at home comes down to Rs.310 (vs Rs.2000 at an EV station). I own an EV6 from 4 months in Hyderabad. Never charged it at a station. I have a 30KwH charger that can charge my car in about 8 hours. So my numbers workout pretty well.
Remember we’re charging at 120kW at a public fast charger. If you charge at home, your cost will be lower by 70-80%. An electric car in this category is a whole lot cheaper to run than a petrol powered luxury car that costs the same.
2:58 Bro Just Passed From My Village To Go Lavasa 😊
I have driven nexon eV 51000 km and it's battery dropped from 30 to 0 in 11km one day and Iwas left stranded in the middle of no where, beware fellows before u buy an eV
This is my worst nightmare. How did you manage ? Did you have to tow it back or you called the dealership?
512 km is still pretty good 👍
It's a 65-70 lac vehicle on-road. That amounts to a shit load of battery and hence the range.
But the day is not far away when a car priced around Rs. 20 lakh will be able to travel 500 kilometers. Just wait 3-4 years longer because battery technology is rapidly improving.
Tushar and Arun are back!
We were never gone! ❤
Range is good , but running cost on fast charging is at par with diesel as my diesel car runs approx 5rs/km,
This is really interesting.500km on a single charge.
That’s more or less how much one can get in a Petrol Hardtop Automatic Mahindra Thar!
Also cheaper to ‘tank up’ even at an expensive fast charger 🤭
@@zigwheels issue is 80 lacs on road Bangalore. Vis a vis 20 lacs for the Thar. Plenty of Petrol can be bought with the price difference!
@@shankarbalan3813how can you compare both of them tho?? The kia can do 0-100 under 5.5s. The Thar can't. The thar can go off-roading. The kia can't. See?? both are different vehicles. The kia is much more luxurious, more practical etc.
@@navneet4938 100% agreed. i was only comparing the range and nothing else.
Economics of fast charger won't work out for everyday use. Use home charge for everyday use. Biggest drawback is cost of vehicle.
Do same test for Tata Nexon
I think 400 km range is more than enough for EVs to doninate the future.
Oce EVs get cheaper , whichh they will as more production reduces the cost.
Evs will become the present very soon
Matter of concern is the cost of charging this EV at a charging station, 2000INR is still very high, negating the primary reason for owning an EV
it is charged at the most expencive charging station at 26 rs per kwh.
if we charge at normal charging station it should be around 13-14 rs per kwh which well be 1036 rs to charge.
it depends on where you charge same like a petrol car fill petrol st shell petrol bunk you have to pay 7-8rs extra per ltr.
Ye best kaam kiya
Nice video great work
Fantastic video
Thanks for watching!
pl do similar test for volvo xc40 recharge
Just watch 8:07 mins 😂that’s it
Not paying 75 lakhs for a car. Never.
70 lakh price plus 2100 for 500kms with so much speed limit and anxiety that will we reach near charger? Not at all worth. my 11 Lakh ecosport diesel consumes Rs1800 diesel for 500 km with no tension and speed above 120!! Long way to go EV another 5 years!!
10 hours for 500 km. Not particularly high average speed. Next time take an ICE car side by side for comparison. Will give a better idea.
Kia ev6 jaldi kar kal subhe panvel bhi nikalna h
How about aging of battery and performance later on, will it be the same🤔
The ageing and reduction in range is a function of how the car is driven and charged. Similar to how ICE vehicles also see a reduction in fuel-efficiency with age and use
EV batteries usually degrade to 90% useable capacity in first few years and then basically stay around that for long period. Kia gives 10 years/1,60,000 KMS battery warranty.
Why are moto jounalists so unfit??? its a trend barringa few most of them are fat..
If the had to haul lighter ppl it would give another 10-15kms range. You need more eneregy to haul heaver laods, cant cheat physics
A lot of it has to do with our schedules. 4am starts and 12am bed times with a shoot crammed in the middle throws the sleep cycle off whack. The constant travelling and eating outside doesn’t help either.
This isn’t an excuse for my poor health, just wanted to give you a glimpse of what actually causes it. :)
@@Arun_Shenoy makes sense .. hope u get time to workout a bit bro. Lesser weight to haul means more range 😀
@@shuveshekI understand your comment comes from a good place bro. Thanks. Working on it :)
I personally liked the car but kona is better for price and value for money.Atleast tiago is value for money though I use i20 2022 asta o ice car .I would love to downgrade to tiago ev.and my ice would go 400 kms for 2200 rupees so I don't find any pupose of ev apart from environment but still our is bs6 too.haha and why isn't it self driving for such price
After EV adoption by majority, won't charging companies be tempted to charge people a lot more because people will have no good options. If running expense went at par or slightly less than petrol car even then people won't switch because they have already paid the EV price premium. So the only option that will be left will be slow 10-12 hour charging for that 200-250Km range. And because BJPee goormint likes to suck every bit of money from people, they might bring new law of separate unit rates for EV charging.
Please do the test with it’s cousin as well

At par compared to many diesel cars😢
My ciaz diesel can do that 500 kms for 2500rs. And for 4k in fuel I can get 800+ range. This doesn't sound very tempting when it comes to EVs.
Yeah but charging at home would cost you 1/4th of the outside chargers
you are comparing a 70 lakh car with a 10 lakh car compare it with somw what similar car like audi q5 then you will understand the diffeence
its a expencive car not like ciaz or tata .
Evc is almost a sports car in that matter.

It will be cheaper if you charge at home.....but for how long will those rates exists? Can't see a future where we will still have access to the relatively cheaper rates for home charging nor do I see our electricity grid having enough capacity to serve lacs of ev motorists.
Strong hybrids are the future. The gormint needs to get its head out of their collective 🍑🍑 and reduce the ludicrous duties on strong hybrids.
८० लाख की गाड़ी और Rang 500 km इससे अच्छा TATA की Nexon witch gives you range approx 300kM in price of 20 lakh.
go for Tata, देश का लोहा,
