Jim McCarty sounds great! Talk about underrated guitarists, he's a force
Jim McCarty is one of the greatest guitar players . He never got the recognition he deserved.
I agree 👍
Because he stayed in Detroit and didn't go "hollywood" like lots of others...
His band The Rockets were underrated too🎶
Jimmy's a soft spoken, modest guy, a true bluesman who never got caught up in the phony rock star bullshit. He never went looking for attention.
How killer is this!?! Unexpected.
Long Live CACTUS !!!!
Dee certainly calls to mind Rusty's vocals, great version of the tune.
Rusty Day is rocking and rolling with this cut!
Showing just how it's done... Dee nails this with pure powwwer, Dug digs deeeep into the pocket, Carmine pounds the pocket tighter... and Jim?
Well, that tone says it all, a master!
Kickin' ass and representing the names that came before while proving that CACTUS still ROCKS!!!
FANFUCKINTASTIC!!!👋
Just revisited the Widowmaker version from 1992. Dee Snider, Al Pitrelli gui, Marc Russell bass and Joey Franco drums. Hard hitting. Also checked out the original written by Willie Dixon and recorded by Howlin' Wolf. Dixon died in 1992. Howlin' Wolf in 1976. RIP
Love Cactus, Love McCarty, Apiece, and LOVE RUSTY!!!!!! Dee does a great job for Rusty.
King's X was one of the most underrated progressive rock bands of the late 80s and 90s.... 👍💯
They're still touring and kicking ass.
Saw them in the 90s for $2. I had never heard of them. The following day I went out and bought everything they had put out at that point.
It's hard to tell by looking at him, but Dug is 73 years old.
Not one of. The most! Love the mighty X
This video has nothing to do with KING's X - even though Doug is in it, it involves various other people. So how about making a comment about Twisted Sister or the original Cactus?
@@JohnKowal-pw6xu Or, you could just sit there quietly while the adults talk.
Dee's been getting around lately. The Walter Trout track a month ago, now this. MOAR Dee! This is a great track.
Nah.
@@dragoncitydemo9799 Your only contribution here is to post numerous negative replies. Perhaps you'd be happier with another musical style, like k-pop.
Cactus foreverrrrrrrrrr
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👊👊👊👊👊👊
This is Music
Respect to Dee Snyder , He did a Great Job !!
Made my day
Cactus fan from day 1
Great to see these veterans hitting it
MORE!!!
Strange seeing Dug in a music video without a word to say, very generous in fact. Wouldn't you agree Dee?
Dee and Doug a heavenly match! Bravo to the guitarist! Keep on Rocking!🧡
Dee actually sounds pretty good on this.
Go wet yourself on fathers day, maybe he will notice.
This song is so hard dam brings back the old school videos of the 80s @ 90s for sure
Dee Snider the best!
I grew up in the same neighborhood where Jim Mcarty lives. He’s a legend! His son Dylan and I became friends in Jr High and still to this day. We even formed a band for a hot minute with Dylan on drums and I played bass.
Who cares? Run Forrest run!
@@dragoncitydemo9799 That makes sense - what are you 10 years old - go back down your mom's basement
@@dragoncitydemo9799 Dick why act like an ass..
I care brother, Jim and Dylan are great guys and great musicians. I saw Jim a few weeks ago and he said this was coming out, I'm blown away by it and hope it gets the boys great success. I love this!
DOUG PINNICK...
This is fan friggin tastic!!!
My dad's favorite band.
great musicians kicking the scene for more
Oh HELL yeah now THIS is what I'm talkin about right here.....OUTSTANDING all these all-time greats on this collab definitely lookin fwd to the complete release!
YES!!
Absolutely awesome !
SOLLIIIDDDDDDD !!!! hell yeah !!!!! thank u D & D and co !!!
Good times, Bad Times
Oh wow! So great to see music from Willie Dixon made famous by the legendary Howlin' Wolf (1954) renewed in such an amazing way. Dee and dUg knocked this one out of the park. Thank you for bringing this music to a new generation 😎
Why are you thanking them for a new generation? You look 67 years old. Are you for real?
@@MichaelSmith-ti9th oddly enough that you think I'm 67 years old when this song is 70 years old (this song dates back to the early 1950s) and is truly classic Blues song. It is great to see it updated like this. I saw after posting my comment that someone mentioned Dee recorded this song with "Windowmaker" years ago and I had never heard that but regardless, if you were never a fan of the Blues, you may have never heard this song so it is great to see it presented in a newer Rock/Metal form for more to discover.
@@MichaelSmith-ti9th Oh shut up !!
🤩
Heavy blues done well is hard to beat
What?
That‘s a Song from Monster Magnet's Album "Superjudge"…..a real cool version 👌
Was hoping to hear some Dug vocals in mix, but oh well, everyone's killing it. Sounds great!
a friend of mine told me once the loudest show he saw was a kings x show ..this has some zeppelin vibes on it ..well donr you all sound great :) good to see dee again always a pleasure :)
Great song
Dee Snider. Um so oller um so doller!!!
Super Dee ✴️🔝
Pretty ripping man... sounds great!
Dee kicks ASS
Are you stoned or just stupid?
Dee did this on the first Widowmaker album, sang it in E, here it's in D.
They were great, saw them in a small upstate club in NY !
@@joecooper7803 And it was still sub par.
So you're saying evil is in Dee.
@@dragoncitydemo9799 That would be what you're seeing in the mirror dude...projecting....
Sounds led zeppliney. Good song
Carmine Rules!
Oh man that’s cool Fernando Perdoma dude!!!
Yep, sounds like Cactus alright. Good job, Dee. Sure wish we could get Carmine's and Tim's backup vocals.
Your name is Terry Cox?
@@dragoncitydemo9799 Yes.
I grew up in the Mid-Hudson Valley when Twisted Sister was a regional power.
Orange County ?
No one cares. btw TS were NEVER a regional power. I was there also. Trust me.
@@Neilbear5820 YEAH! Newburgh! Where you from? I left in '83.
@@dragoncitydemo9799 What are you talking about? They were independently realeasing albums before they hit nationally. They sold out the NY Palladium way before Stay Hungry came out. They had a cult following in NY, NJ, CN, and maybe PA.
@@dragoncitydemo9799 Shut up will you...! really small minded comments...well done !
Rock On!!!
🤘🔥
Awesome🤘
I am not big on revisited bands, but this lineup kills!
Good Times Bad Times sounds like you know who
#TBT 😎
Sweet
KOOL
Sonically sounds reminiscent of Led Zep's debut album with the vibe of Montrose. Well done!
Not really.
💯👍👍👍
Rola de la banda Widowmaker, super grupo que perdió en los noventas con la llegada del grunge, esa si es una banda underated, discazo con agrupación de lujo, Snider, Pitrelli, Francco y compañía.
Dee still got it!
Haha , not at all.
@@MichaelSmith-ti9th who asked you?
Love Dee, rather hear Dug sing it🤘🏻
Ok fanboy , sure he does.
@@paz_v1936 ?? This is youtube you intellectual dwarf. If you idolize either of these two imbeciles you need an M.R.I.
Aren't these Widowmaker/ Desperado lyrics ? . Good they r back
I love King's X since their first Album. Twisted Sister is not really my cup of tea, but Dee Snider is a great Rock Singer. By the way….. that's a song from Monster Magnet featured on their 1993 Album "Superjudge". Check it out.
An really cool version 👌
Well, if that's not worth subscribing for, I don't know what is!!!!
What?? Try decaf.
@@dragoncitydemo9799 I thought it was pretty bloody good myself! Maybe you'd better go back to your Tay Tay videos! 😁
Discazo recomendado!
Mejor que los de King’s X.
Check out Clutch's version
Yep. Monster Magnet's cover is pretty great, too.
Jake E. Lee did a ripping cover of this too! The album Retraced form a few years back is full of ass kickers like "Evil"
Nice, but I do prefer the version he did with Widowmaker better, glad to see these guys are still rockin’.
carmine!
Hey..it's THAT..Twisted Sister ! 😦
Who is the drummer, is it carmine ?
Dug’s a great bassist, but having him on a song like this without doing any vocal work is a waste.
I agree.
*_Dee you ain't got no blues in ya._*
*Sorry bro you still rock*
🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
Anyone getting a Zeppelin vibe ?
Not in the least.
More Black Country Communion.
strobe camera videos suck balls ,music is spectacular
Nowhere near the original 😵💫
The original with Rusty Day is Better by Far 🎸
Freddie Mercury, Rob, Halford, Doug Pinnick. It’s a shame.
Haha, Led Zep lifted stuff from others so now it's karma time. Or did Cactus lift this from whoever Led Zep lifted it from, went right to the source?
Dee Snider is good, but I prefer Rusty Day's nasty/snarling vocal rendition. Good to see Jim McCarty.
I hope Cleopatra didnt pay for this , if so they deserve a refund.
Doing these "guest star" recordings does nothing but invite comparisons to the original cuts. The sad truth is, you can re-record and even improve upon some aspects of the original, but you can never recapture the magic of the golden days of rock and roll. It's kinda like the Twilight Zone episode "Walking Distance".
Clutch did a great cover of Evil a few years ago. Much better than this.
Not bad...although I was hoping for something a bit less "safe" from a structural standpoint.
You were? Well then.... silly you!
Video is really cheesy / low budget..but the groove and sound of the track is strong. Dee sounds odd over this music..almost like he’s just randomly blurting things over the music. The band sounds good tho..
Can't stand Dee Snider, I'm only here for Doug Pinnick.
True that. His sound has crushed it for 40 years .
Sorry, it sounds like a rip off of Good times, Bad times by Led Zeppelin.
Original Widowmaker way better this sucks
simply horrible
Great
