    There is nothing better to start my day than watching a Yana Hot Foiling video. If I ever have a foiling issue Yana has a video with the answer.

    Very helpful as I've been trying to foil something 3 times and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working until you mentioned the weight of the paper used to be foiled was important. And that I believe is what my problem was. Thanks so much for all of you helpful tips, especially making the hinge so the foil doesn't move.

    Hi Yanna. My glimmer hot foil system from spellbinders. The ready light does not flash, and know Spellbinders won't replace or fix. The machine works fine. Do you know how long i should leave plate and paper before I run it through my die cutting machine? The green light hot notification works. Just the flashing and stop flashing does not work. Beautiful card and your line and cards are classy...just like you.

    I watch all your videos for hot foiling and have learned so much. I need to know how to store my hot foil plates so I know what I have. Can you please give me some ideas.
    Thank you

    • @Yana.Smakula
      @Yana.Smakula  2 роки тому

      I store them the same way I store my dies - I cut chipboard to 6x6", adhere a magnetic sheet on top and stick my plates there.
      I have them all sit on the top shelf of my rolling cart.
      You can look up magnetic sheets on Amazon.
      I have a craft room tour video on my channel, it shows it briefly.

    • @TheKaydie
      @TheKaydie 2 роки тому

      Thank you for your reply, I have my hot foil plates on magnetic sheets but don't know what some of the plates like words say. If when I am hot foiling would like to be able to go to the sheet and have the words I want. Do you have a sheet that shows what words are on what magnetic sheet? I am sorry to go on and on just trying to explain myself.
      I appreciate all the help you can offer.

    • @Yana.Smakula
      @Yana.Smakula  2 роки тому

      I don't have a sheet like that. But I imagine you could foil the words on a scrap piece and adhere it from the back of your magnetic sheet. You could even adhere a storage pocket and keep any extra foiled pieces in there. In fact, I think I am going to try it.

    Hi Yana... love your tutorials. Question, can you use photo paper for hot foiling? Thanks so much

    • @Yana.Smakula
      @Yana.Smakula  2 роки тому

      Oh absolutely! Glossy photo paper foils perfectly! But, I would advise putting a sheet of scrap paper onto glimmer hot surface as the heat may melt the glossy coating of the photo paper and photo paper might stick to glimmer surface

    Thanks so much for all the great information and tips, Yana! I have a question about the two cutters that come with the foil trimmer set. I know one is marked for foil and one is marked for paper, but do you see a visual difference between the two blades? Or maybe they are the same blade in each holder, but marked separately so we keep each one dedicated for its purpose?

      It doesnt matter, I've done it a bunch of times. You can remove it if it bothers you, using an adhesive remover such as Un-du. Just dont scrape the plate
