Tierlist of Rampart Units in HoMM3: HotA

- In this video I present my opinion of all Rampart's units in Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Horn of the Abyss by making a tierlist. What are the best units and what are trash? The units are not measured only based on their fighting capabilities but also on how easy it is to get them, how well you can rely on them, and so on. The best thing about Green Dragons is how they look. They've got a fantastic colouring. In fact, they might be the prettiest of the town recruitable level 7 units, certainly of the dragons.

Yeah...In Hota , it makes sense... but in the original version, gold dragon must be at tier C or D , considering it can be exploded, but cannot be resurrected. Insane ...
Yeah i think being immune to lvl1 1-4 is a disadvantage compared to 1-3, i actually think magic immunity is a disadvantage period but 1-4 is terrible. You can prayer green dragons, you can clone them, resurrect them. You cannot do this to Gold, what advantages from being immune to lvl 4? There are only a few good disabling lvl 4 spells, meteor shower, sorrow, chain lightning.

There is also sacrifice at level 5, so that helps. @@Parasmunt
I'm not certain that upgraded units should be a tier above the unupgraded ones. Some of those, like pegasi, don't even deserve the resources and time you spend on the upgrade.

C tier for the dendroid guard is being generous. the rest is about right.
Thanks for the comment. Imo, they do have quite nice numbers and they are quite tough (provided they ever get to battle) :D
I agree with the green and gold dragons, they are not that nice, and the cliffs are just very expensive, they also cost a lot of ore not just crystal. I personaly do not like playing rampart that much, because in my opinion grand elves and silver pegasi just die way too fast, so i would say they are a little overrated, especially grand elves, but maybe it is just a matter of skill :D

Centaur Captains should be S tier among lvl 1 creatures, imo.

@@qualityoldhomm-rd3yu Sure! It is controversial in that from my perspective, I have only heard in forums from the early 00's and onward that Centaur Captain was THE best Tier 1 unit. Even back in the 90's we thought so me and my family members.

@@PsDnK I have not tested all properly but atm I would go for Centaur Captains or Halfling Grenadiers (Skeleton Warriors if Necromancy is allowed) :)
