This would, hopefully, have been the end goal of what started at a two week sailing camp when I was 12 but camp was cut short when the two captains/instructors decided sailing into a hurricane was a great idea. Our mast snapped and our engine didn't work and the other boat ended up sinking, thankfully after it made it to a flooded out marina somewhere on the Chesapeake Bay. That being said is why, 30 years later, I'm living my dream through you and your awesome friends. There's a really nice boat with trailer and enough to start free nearby but my joints are failing and surgery number four is three weeks away. Greetings from a North Carolina transplant here in New Hampshire.
Get back out on the water. Much better when you are at the helm.

One of your better installments Sam, curious, is it difficult to be on a voyage as crew, with so many single voyaging miles under the keel?
I happily crew on other boats, content that someone else is paying the bills and worrying about the weather. It is much more relaxing than managing your own boat and worrying about crew comfort. It almost feels like a holiday for me. I find you always learn something from other skippers, both what works and what doesn't.
The weather looks so nice up there. We're at around 113° heat index here in Arkansas this week.

Tromsø is a dream destination for me, hopefully one day, could even be next year, especially after seeing this. Summer skiing and a great Skyline hill running race. Svalbard, hmm, maybe a bit too far.
