You did an awesome job on your Daddy's boat. I like how you made alot of the stuff for it. I'm all about saving money and making it yourself. You got you a brand new boat now.
Thanks for subscribing Steve. My choices lead me down a dark path. When I found a way out I said I would never go back. I always look for the good even hidden in the bad. Thanks for the encouragement sir.
Love the set up! I have a 1969 Starcraft V-18 Offshore. We got a good deal on it and completely gutted it and rebuilt it from the bare hull. It's handled everything we've thrown at it. I am considering removing the rear platform we built for it and redoing it to make it shorter for more space in the back of the boat. But we will see lol. Tight lines and fish on!
Thanks for subscribing Mike. I took this boat down to the hull the thing that helped the most was moving the console forward. The back deck was to small for one person much less two. It was just what it need. Have a great day man.
@@whiskerpigfishing Mine is a dual console. plus its only 18' but its still comfortable to fish from with up to 3 people. But you have a good one yourself and God Bless
Nice job. I have a 1989 StarCraft 18 ft sfm. It the walk through windshield version of yours. I gutted it and rebuilt it also. Those are good boats totally rebuildable. You may need a valve on your live well if it’s too strong. I had to put one on mine.
Thanks Matthew. I am just getting started catfishing. I have been fishing over 50 years. Just decided to try a different species. It has been humbling and fun.
Nice job on restoring your father’s boat. I’ve been sharing out your channel to get you to 500 subscribers. Hopefully within the next week we can get over the 500 mark
Stan that is so good to hear. If this wasn't his boat I would have gotten something a little bigger. Dad love to fish and instilled it in both his sons.
I see where you catch channel cats Charles Crimmenger of Lancaster SC Caught a channel Cat at Wateree river last year measured length and gerth the fish Weight was 69 lb and was realesed back into the river
I haven't dealt in boats in a long while so I really don't know. It was my dad's boat. I can say nothing is cheap any more. My definition of boat is, hole in the water you pour money in. Sorry I am not much help on a value.
