Facts, this class was always one of my favorites, the old models are getting hard to find. Especially the non 1600cc bmw k series. Hope to continue seeing sport tourers and do all roadsters
As a Kawasaki fan boy I decided to ignore the GS1300 reviews and watch this video. Great review on a cool bike, and in the world of £20k bikes, £12k for a 140bhp bike which is renowned for its reliability, sounds like a bargain 👍
I rode one of these this past year, and the word that kept leaping to mind was "Easy." Everything about it was Easy. The riding position (also 5'8" myself), getting feet down, the weight balance and handling, the torque, the smoothness of the quickshifter, the smoothness of the engine, the cruise control, the windscreen adjustment... it was just Easy. Exactly what I'd want for touring. Ultimately, as a father of a 5 year old, I'm not doing much touring at the moment, so I opted for a different direction, but it's a fantastic bike.
Great review Sir. I do like the red and black color scheme! Bought a low mileage 20' (6k miles) back in March of 22'. As of today the bike has right at 24k miles. I have the OEM comfort seat, panniers and added a Givi top box. I did a bread box/ cat delete and added a Leo Vince silencer as the OEM silencer was just hideous/ heavy. The bike is an absolute joy to ride and other than replacing the battery and general maintenance there have been zero issues. I find it very comfortable to ride even at 60 years of age. Last road bike I will probably ever own. Ride safe

Great review. By coincidence, I tested one of these last week at my local dealership and I was really impressed with it. Lovely smooth engine, pretty comfortable, well equipped, and very good value for money. With a current offer from Kawasaki, the base model, which you and I both rode, is priced at less than £11,500. That's a lot of bike for the money!
@@splodge57 but you have to take their finance at quite a high %%%% interest but it would probably still be cheaper than the RRP. I'm 6 foot and I sat on a 2021 with bar risers fitted and it was more comfortable than my old MT07 I had for 6 years. Subject to test ride I would buy one of these once I finish paying for my car 😂 🚗
I just got a ninja1000sx 2024 model. I love the comfortable riding position, the shocks, the torque, the brakes, and both lights stay on on low beam. I love this bike, it handles well and has a smooth engine. Great review.
Rode the 2016/17 model and found it to be a very competent machine. Comfortable, smooth, decent handling and more than enough performance for anyone on the road.
Ive just returned from a 2200kms round trip from Sydney Australia to Phillip Island for the 2023 motogp with a few mates. Bikes included my 2008 vfr800, a Yamaha fz1n, a 2014 mt09 and my mates 2023 Kawasaki ninja 1000sx which he loves. Hes done 7000kms on it soo far and its his best bike to date. Heaps of grunt. I'm on my second one, its does it all. Wait until you get the suspension set up, transforms the bike even further. There is a reason they are popular, reliable, do it all, economical and easy to ride.
Im considering this bike as sport tourers are my favourite but im not entirely convinced between this or the tracer 9gt or the suzuki 1000GT. I guess i should test ride them. Im mainly worried this bike wont be comfortable on my wrists/back
I had a 2011 and I loved it. I had it for 5 years. It felt super intuitive, it was quicker than what I needed, and it was reasonably comfortable. The downsides were that it was not super fuel efficient, the older style windscreen wasn't great, and the older dual sided exhaust made chain maintenance a pain. The rear chain adjustment system and axle holder thing was quite unusual and required some getting used to.
I had a 2012 model owned my for ten years went on many tours my first tour I did on it was guided tour NC500 most of the other were on adventure bikes and I was told I was on the wrong bike it turned out that chap on the BMW GS was the one struggling riding position caused him back pains on are 7 hour days the Kawasaki is fantastic 70 thousand miles never mist a beat definitely the best sports tourer bar none
Ive got the 2021 model, which is the same as this one, just a different colour. Im very happy with it. Ive done some 500-600km days and its comfortable and easy to ride. Yes, its a bit heavy tbh, but not noticeable once youre moving. Just noticeable when moving around the garage etc. i have the oem panniers and they were very difficult to get on and off until i had done it at least10 times. Now they are super easy to get on and off. Its a super smooth ride, as everyone has already mentioned. The quick shifter is great. I did level 2 of CSS on my ninja atPhilip Island. More than enough power.
Great to see Onyerbike working with with great vloggers like The Missenden Flyer. Shout out to Tony, Chris and all the guys and gals at Onyerbike👍. Fantastic bike by the way, I've had mine since March and have done 6K miles on it so far
Very timely review, I have been looking at this bike to replace my R9T. Very handsome, good looking, “Ridable” Bike. And also, this bike is so easy to change the oil and filter, no need to take off any fairings, like the similar Suzuki-GT
I gave serious consideration to one of these just prior to taking the plunge for a Gen 3 Hayabusa. Certainly not disappointed with my choice as I like the longer wheelbase of the big Suzuki but the big Kwak was a close second choice.
Your review sums up exactly why I bought a brand new one this year; 10 day tour across Europe in comfort, fun when you get to the twisties, and more than capable to do a track day at Silverstone last month. I love the engine too, all this nonsense about 4s not having character is just that, nonsense. It's smoothness and wave of mid range torque is properly endearing.
Well said. I ride a 4 cylinder bike and never need to "rev the nuts off it" to get it to go. Whereas most twins peter out just when you're expecting them to open up...
Great bikes, I have a 2021 - which I believe apart form colours is the same as the 2023 - and it's one of the best bikes I have owned. Your comments about low speed manners are spot on I wenrt form a 2017 Street Triple RS (which I had from new) last year to the Ninja ands the Ninja is easier to ride at low speed than the Street. I done 9k miles on mine since I bought it May 2022 and can't fault it. Did 2200 miles to Austria and back in July with a bunch of mates - 2 of which were also in Ninjas - in 9 days and had an absolute blast. Can't recommend these bikes highly enough.
I've had mine since January 22. What I will say, there's not much the bike cant do. It's even been on track with me, although you could tell thats not really its purpose 😅 My only complaint is that its a little too sensible for me, but then I did change from an MT10 and I just miss the excitement
Never a dull moment in your videos. Last year had to choose between this and Tiger 850 sports. It so happened that I realised I had an adventure bone in me. Though with age I was giving up off roading, but then what the heck.. a few more years won't hurt. Picked up the latter.
A lovely looking bike. I had a brief ride on one at the MCN festival. I was impressed. A lovely smooth engine and bags of power. I may revisit when I decide to change.
Fantastic review Andy 👏 before I type " you may remember from my previous comments" ( its Russ here ) I had from new the 2017 Z1000 SX and absolutely adored it ❤❤. I toured Europe on it and did a track day on it. Two very different scenarios and it surpassed my expectations on both 👍 My dealership very kindly lent me the Ninja 1000 SX when it came out for a weekend ( I suspect they were getting nervous, as the Z came with a Lifetime Warranty and I was piling on the miles 😆😆 ). The difference between the two bikes was very noticeable in favour of the Ninja 👍Which really surprised me given how good the 'Z' was 🥰 I totally agree with your thoughts on the Ninja ( spot on my friend) and would definitely recommend that anyone who is in the market for a sports tourer, takes one out for a test ride before parting with their 'Hard Earned' 👍 All the best Andy Russ
I’ve been waiting a long time for Kawasaki to offer red as a color option on this bike! I really loved the firecracker red color that was offered on the naked bikes last year
The roads in the South East really are shocking these days, but look on the bright side: it radically improves your riding skill when you have to constantly avoid potholes. Nonetheless, it was a relief to get back on to decent tarmac here in the Netherlands.
Enjoyed watching that. The way they set up the suspension when they send these out of the factory is shocking - I had mine set up properly at Greenham Kawasaki and the transformation was remarkable. Best £30 I ever spent on a bike.
Been riding Triumph Tiger 850 Sport for exactly 2 years now. Put a 2 inch bar riser right after i bought it. Seat height is 820mm and it weighs 217 kg wet. The 1000SX is 835mm and 235 kg. I've always loved the 1000SX's smooth and tractable engine. While i can live with a little bit cantered forward (though moto-cnc's bar riser can help reduce it), i'm a bit concerned with the narrower leg triangle in the 1000SX vs Tiger 850. I am 51 and 5' 6" tall.
I have the last double-exhaust model (2017 or 2018 I think), I can't get enough of that machine. It's everything I want a bike to be, long-distance + passenger capable, comfy yet with an engaging riding position, great stability, fantastic sound, fun, flattering, sporty, tame when it must and hysterical when you want... and Kawasaki seems to be the only make that always gets the torque-power balance right. Such a privilege to live in time when marvels like that are made available to us. But yeah, Kawasaki can't do mirrors right.
Yeah, the 2017-2019 models were the last with the 4-2-4 exhaust system. I have the 2017, then called the "Z1000SX," bought new, with over 84,000 km on it now. Still going exceedingly well, and still as smooth as butter on South African sunny roads with Michelin "Road" tires on them.
My kind of bike, I used to own a 2015 model, rode 650 miles from Santander down to Mercia in one day and she was was wonderful, travelling back via the Picos found her a little heavy with loaded panniers in the tight technical turns but still have a soft spot for the SX. Cheers Andy
Very underrated bike IMO. It sort of flies under the radar because everyone tours on BMW GS's and 1000XR's these days. And I don't think Kawasaki have advertised/marketed the bike as well as they could have...? It's got all the tech and rider aids that you get on a euro bike too. And the red/black looks superb!
Glad to see you finally riding this bike as I have a green 2020 model which is still the same and its a fantastic machine. I also had the previous model that you rode which had twin pipes not 4. Except for this looks wise its almost the same except colours but the Ninja is a better bike. It feels quicker handles better has cruise control quick shifter TFD dash and more making a already good bike into a great one. Its now unchanged for 4 years and not really sure how they can make it any better especially for the price it is.
Well with Suzuki going head to head with it, that's going to be an interesting situation. More power I hope, it's already an impressive package and can only benefit from more bhp and torque. I've done 30k on my 2015, it's taken me all over Europe and easily takes its touring role in its stride. Am looking for an upgrade and will happily replace mine with this. Unless Kawasaki upgrade it's engine power after I've bought it.
The powertrain of this Kawasaki 1000 SX is the heart of my all time favorite sport tourer - The Bimota KB4. It has a Bimota chassis with this bike's complete powertrain, wiring harness, ECU, and is stock from airbox to exhaust tip, so as to comply with Euro 5. It's significantly lighter, much more compact, and with the radiator in the tail section to shorten the wheelbase as much as possible, a quicker handling machine. Another superb collaboration with Kawasaki is their H2 based muscle bike. Hopefully Bimota will begin to really flourish under Kawasaki leadership.
KB4 - now you're talking. Same lump, same electrics, 40 (yeah forty) kilos lighter than the SX, shorter wheelbase than a ZX6 but longer swinger than the SX. Not sure if one has been spotted anywhere near Gt.Missenden though,,,,,,
One of the ABC wives has a 2023 performance tourer version.. Such a great bike, sounds amazing and has that butterly smooth inline 4. And agree TMF it wants to go into the corners and stays true
Great review of a well proven sports tourer Andy, I nearly bought one some years ago and still like them especially this new model. I can actually see 4 examples on bike trader all for £9999 all demo bikes with as little as 50 miles on the clock, what a steal.
A really good review of a lovely looking bike. Brake reservoir aside, what a great view from the cockpit. As for touring, perhaps a weekend away, or being based in one place and riding out everyday could be the way to go with it.
Bought a 2021 performance tourer back in October.Although I have only ridden it home for from the garage. Coming from a Multistrada, the Ninja was soooo smooth. Can't wait for better weather to get out.(wife as pillion every journey) Great review, spot on.
I own one. No engine vibes no centre stand. Panniers are extra as is a top box but not both together. Heated grips are Kawasaki's own not Oxford. The screen is 4 way adjustable. The mirrors work well and are identical to the ones on the previous SX model
Controversial maybe, I like mine in rain mode. I had it in rain mode due to wet roads on my way to work and forgot to turn it off on the return trip. It’s actually a lot of fun. You can rev it higher, which in return the quick shifter runs more smoothly. Way more engaging for my commute. I also like the challenge of not setting off the traction control when accelerating. Learning to ride smoother. I haven’t recorded it but I assume it’s be better on fuel while still being plenty fast enough. Saves the tyres and chain. Then when I do put it in road or sport wow… completely different machine. 1/4 of extra power is huge on this beast.
Great review as usual. Several of my mates have had this bike and sometimes more than once! It looks ok to me and better with the red. Very capable bike. I’m personally not a Kwak fan though.
Absolutely, the best deal in a sport touring bike. Although I wouldn’t recommend touring over 300 miles on, it is an ultra smooth comfortable ride. I own a ‘23 and love it. More than enough power for the street and it will do 150mph, also has good usable torque from second and third, especially when bringing the revs up to over 8k. No bike is perfect and these are the things I would like to see changed: make the cockpit 2 inches longer, bring the pegs a bit more lower and back, make it so you can adjust the bars lower if wanting to ride more aggressive, maybe tweak the wheelbase out to 59 1/2".
I just sold my Ninja 1000sx. I loved it initially but with time I started to have problems with my hands. The slight forward bias and the high frequency buzz between 4-5k revs played havoc with my carpal tunnel and nerves. I tried many things to reduce the buzz but to no avail. I tried bar risers but the upright position didnt suit the bike's handling. The wind noise was also a problem with wind being thrown up by the fairings to the underside of the helmet (I'm 6'2"). Different screens didnt help. The only solution to the wind was a custom made micro screen as small as possible. Lovely bike, just not for me.
Excellent fair review as always thanks. Would have been interesting to see it two up as it looks like the kind of thing you could do some light touring on with a passenger.
There needs to be a rethink by manufacturers, away from fashion towards practicality and reliability. Siting the rear brake caliper at the bottom of the disc may make it easier to get at it (around that enormous silencer), but it's going to be covered in muck as soon as it's ridden in the wet, and is at much greater risk of damage from stones etc. There seems to be no excuse for the tiny front mudguard which does nothing to protect the header pipes and radiator from debris continuously thrown out by the front tyre. I suppose if all you do is ride the bike on dry days in places like California there will be no issue. biut this is supposed to be a sports tourer!
I had a 2014 and now have the 2021 ninja 1000sx. Loved the blue of the 2014 but literally everything included head geometry is better on the 2021. Wonderful bikes
i've been serioulsy looking at this bike and made the decision that this is what i want next. Then I saw the insurance....WOOOOOOOW!. turns out it's popular with the tea leaves, so tends to go walkies a lot, and I live in the sticks! Cannot imagine how much it would cost in London.
A handsome piece of Kit..with loads of POKE!!!....love the English dialect..great review. Love these bikes. I sat on one at our local cycle shack..my 5.5 short self has to tippy-toe..or just slide to one side to flat foot. Hadn't had the chance to take one out for a spin yet
I LOVE... my SS. Wanted a bike as like that as could be, while allowing me to ride further longer, all the time. I found it in the SX. More of a sport bike that can tour than a touring bike that's sporty. You can't have all of both. I love my Ninja. It's sexy, powerful, practical. Put the dealer option hard cases on. Quality and price sucks buy they do their job, look awesome, contribute to a totally refined serious bike look and feel. I guess I need a phone mount and Bluetooth I've resisted long enough lol. Just making it "my own'' right now.
Sadly a type of bike we don't see much of these days, This and the GSX-S 1000 GT. Would love a comeback of this type of bike in a slightly lower cc with less weight at 200kg to be more comfortable day to day. But with the same packaging and long range capability. Market has moved way too much into the middleweight ADV which I think is a shame but will appeal to all buyers of a similar type. GSX-S750 GT for example is something I had in mind.
So much this, totally agree! I would love to see more options for non-ADV mid ranged Sport Touring with light, lively three and four cylinder 700-900cc engines.
Great vid. I love a sport tourer but they're quite a rare breed these days despite a miny resurgence recently. This is also definitely one of the best ones too imo. Seems really well put together & refined. Would like to see you try out the Moto Guzzi V100 too if poss.
Yes, you're still in Buckinghamshire. :) The A41 to Bicester (Oxon) from Aylesbury (Bucks) You started on the left side, which is Cuddington, Oakley, Brill (windmill) great place for bike reviews ;) etc The right hand side is Gawcott, Calvert Green ect to Buckingham. All great roads apart from the state of them.lol
Thanks for another great video Mr Flyer - although I live near Crazy Horse in Suffolk, I bought my Ninja 1000 from Tony at 'On Yer Bike' last year, thanks Tony, I'm really enjoying the bike and your channel Mr Flyer, keep up the good work :)
Love them, would love to see you try out the latest Versys 1000 S/SE again. I know you did the last Gen. Would be interested to know what Mrs Flyer thinks of the seating arrangement.
I had the 2020 ninja 1000sx and loved it, great allrounder! i have recently upgraded it to the y22 H2SXSE now that is a touring ballistic missile if you haven't tried it you should its amazing
Hope you soon try the Guzzi Stelvio it looks very promising and has the most characterful engine. A real competitor to you GS looking forward to what you think about it.
Hi Andy cracking video as always & you some how get your audio just rite not booming, i can see what you are saying about the mirrors ? for me though i would have to get rid of that massive can & put a tail tidy straight away? nice to see it has a actual key as well, PS i also purchased one of those bike dryers you have a long time ago, not only good for the bikes but also the two spaniels this time of year, best thing ever, so thanks for that, ATB Wayne.....
I have a 2020, which I bought for touring, and I have to say this is a bike I could ride all day. I would not hesitate to take it cross country. This is my first Japanese bike, basically I am a Euro snob when it comes to motorcycles. I added a few bits, a Corbin seat for one which goes a long way in the all-day comfort of the bike. This bike is good looking, but it's a far cry from MV's motorcycle art. Then again MV doesn't have anything close to this type of bike. If you want a SPORT-touring bike you have 2 choices, this bike or the Suzuki GSX-S GT+
Nice bike i part ex mine for a z900rs which i am very happy with from tony at on yer bike he is a top man to deal with i have bought many bikes from him
That sound is awesome! I do miss the 4 cylinder roar and back in the day this bike would be pretty much top of my list. Great review....cheers Andy! keep doing what your doing :-)
I love sports-tourers but with the emphasis on touring. I don’t need a hooligan bike that has luggage capacity and weather protection. This one I like. Still a Transformer bike but I like the color scheme. Yesterday, today and tomorrow we had lots of rain and there’s more to come.
Hi Andy, enjoyed your review, it really is a good looking bike other than the humongous exhaust end can, I can see why it's not any lighter, but that's easily sorted. Thank you.
I own the 2022 tourer version, the larger screen it comes with makes it better, you can also change the dash layout and colour if you wish, even when touring the chain tensioning is easy even though no centre stand, with the eccentric cam I find best to use quick shifter at 4k revs and above, I'm 6ft1 and find bike very comfortable for long distance, for me it's been a great choice, hope you do a follow up vid with more in depth detail. Have to agree it's a solo tourer and a naughty boys bike, watch your licence 👍
Love your videos, entertaining and very informative, I’m a Harley rider, but I’m thinking of getting this bike. Looks like a good tour, and lighter. I’m from the USA , I like what you’re saying 👍
Kawasaki...............One of my Favourite Brands, would Love to see you do a Review on the New ZX-4RR (Inline 4) if ever you get a chance in the Future.
After 10 minutes remembered you can slow down the video, after another 5 minutes paused at the perfect time to read the small print. Thought it was a competition to get some TMF goodies 😂😂
thanks for the posting. I was expecting to see/view your views on the GS1300. Lambchops, 44 teeth, usernamekate, of the new GS all have posted reviews. Looking forward to your review. Good review, as usual, on the Kawi.
Just have to give cred to the great reviews you make, i always 💚 Kawasaki's, own 4 at the moment, z900rs, 2022 H2sx se, 2014 zzr1400ps, 2015 H2Ninja, if i had to choose one it had to be the zzr, would be nice if you made a review of one, post 2012 model and the ps version, keep on the good work
1:00 I’d forgot how crap the weather in August was. We had family up from Australia for the first time in 10 years. I don’t think they’ll be coming back !
Great bike I have one in green performance model did a Spanish trip north coast to south coasts via the Pyrenees fantastic , best bike I have owned by a mile.
I really fancy a H2 SX SE but it's good to know a more sensible affordable option is available too, this is also a bike I'd be proud to own. Cheers Andy :)
I did a test ride of H2 SX. It's feels like a sx but everything is turned up 200%. Engine, suspension. Only thing to complain about is insurance and constant risk of speeding with that turbo. Feels effortless to drive stupid fast with it. And yes I own regular 2021 sx 😂
Bought a brand new one in September. Not done any long long runs but more bum-comfort than the Tracer 9GT and so smooth... far too easy to speed by accident. Good value for money and pillion comfort better than the GSX-S1000GT as grab handles are practical and cushioning good too - or so I'm told.
This is a great review. It was between this and the GSXS1000GT that I ended up getting in August of this year. In the next year or so I am hoping to trade up to the H2 SX SE.
Nice that some companies are still building a 'tradition' sports tourer. Not everyone wants to tour on an adventure bike.
Completely agree Richard!

Great review, I’m in my early 70’s and still ride a sport bike but I can see these as a perfect replacement.

I love my 2019 model. Next bike will be the H2 SX. Kawasaki are killing it, making great bikes for every rider!

Great to see Onyerbike working with with great vloggers like The Missenden Flyer. Shout out to Tony, Chris and all the guys and gals at Onyerbike👍. Fantastic bike by the way, I've had mine since March and have done 6K miles on it so far
I’m not sure I’d say On Yer Bike are working with me exactly….but they did let me ride/film this one thanks to Tony the Kawasaki man…
@@TheMissendenFlyer well, hopefully it's a start!
Indeed
Great feedback to hear and I’m glad we concur!
I've had mine since January 22. What I will say, there's not much the bike cant do. It's even been on track with me, although you could tell thats not really its purpose 😅 My only complaint is that its a little too sensible for me, but then I did change from an MT10 and I just miss the excitement
Yes the MT10 is bonkers isn’t it!
Two very different scenarios and it surpassed my expectations on both 👍
My dealership very kindly lent me the Ninja 1000 SX when it came out for a weekend ( I suspect they were getting nervous, as the Z came with a Lifetime Warranty and I was piling on the miles 😆😆 ). The difference between the two bikes was very noticeable in favour of the Ninja 👍Which really surprised me given how good the 'Z' was 🥰
I totally agree with your thoughts on the Ninja ( spot on my friend) and would definitely recommend that anyone who is in the market for a sports tourer, takes one out for a test ride before parting with their 'Hard Earned' 👍
All the best Andy
Russ
Glad we concur Russ!
Enjoyed that Andy! A bike I've never tried actually... need to sort that out 👍
I’m a huge fan of sport tourers and this to my mind is one of the best - not sure how it’ll match up to your H2 though Chopsy!!
Yes anywhere is better than here!!
Well I suppose it makes a change from moaning about the British weather. Me, I don't like warm beer.😂
For all its foibles I love living in dear old Blighty…
Enjoyed watching that.
The way they set up the suspension when they send these out of the factory is shocking - I had mine set up properly at Greenham Kawasaki and the transformation was remarkable. Best £30 I ever spent on a bike.
Nice one!
Thanks for that - great feedback....
Cheers Andy
Thanks for watching!
It sure does!
I love the look of it, and the engine sound when you wind it up: Chef's kiss!
Totally agree - a bargain at that price….
Didn't Ninja use to look the biz' in green 💚
This bike in the 40th anniversary ninja colours is very tempting as something to keep my 84 ninja company 🙂 great review.
Yea its an umphy sports tourer but what swung it for me to get mine was the low speed ie round town handling. Absolute dream machine !
Nice….
Another excellent video Mr. Flyer. I will pick up on one of your points. You are never actually ‘lost’. Just slightly out of position. 👍👍👍
Very true - in aviation we call being lost “temporarily unsure of my position” - which was the case here…..
Can't wait for better weather to get out.(wife as pillion every journey)
Great review, spot on.
How are you liking it now that hopefully you’ve spent a bit of time with it. Would you say an upgrade or otherwise?
Pretty good looking bike. Engine vibs, centerstand, luggage, pretty heavy, heated grips, Oxfords. Mirrors work. Shield adjustable.
Yes great bikes these aren’t they….
What a shame!
What have you got now?
Excellent fair review as always thanks. Would have been interesting to see it two up as it looks like the kind of thing you could do some light touring on with a passenger.
I have one, previous adventure bike; I love it , so much fun , sporty and handles great bit of kit .
Couldn't agree more!
Agreed all round….
I have a 2014 model with no TC or ABS, absolutely love it. May upgrade to the Ninja SX one day, but definitely in no rush.
I had a 2014 and now have the 2021 ninja 1000sx. Loved the blue of the 2014 but literally everything included head geometry is better on the 2021. Wonderful bikes
"Sorry, officer, I didn't know how fast I was going, my TFT blurs at higher speeds. "
i've been serioulsy looking at this bike and made the decision that this is what i want next. Then I saw the insurance....WOOOOOOOW!. turns out it's popular with the tea leaves, so tends to go walkies a lot, and I live in the sticks! Cannot imagine how much it would cost in London.
Yes good point….
Yes I’m with you on that!

Fantastic the UJM lives on courtesy of the big K long live the in-line four.
Here here!!
Excellent - good fella is Tony!
Excellent - good fella is Tony!
Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since my purchase of a Ninja 1000, 26000 miles in two years. Very reliable and a lot of fun to ride.
After owning the 2019 model for 4 years looks like the perfect replacement especially with 4 cylinders becoming a thing of the past 😎👍
Exactly!
Love mine. Grin ear to ear every time I’m out. I’m 6’1” and it’s comfy enough for a 3 hour stint before I need to stretch the legs.
Sounds good!
Love them, would love to see you try out the latest Versys 1000 S/SE again. I know you did the last Gen. Would be interested to know what Mrs Flyer thinks of the seating arrangement.
It is the best sports tourer bar none but it needs to be in green
Glad you enjoyed the Ninja 1000SX Andy! 😁
Sure did! Thanks for letting me borrow it!
I had the 2020 ninja 1000sx and loved it, great allrounder! i have recently upgraded it to the y22 H2SXSE now that is a touring ballistic missile if you haven't tried it you should its amazing
Yes I have a review on here somewhere….
Hope you soon try the Guzzi Stelvio it looks very promising and has the most characterful engine. A real competitor to you GS looking forward to what you think about it.
It’s a brilliant bike had mine 2 years , 15000k on it love it
Nice one….
Great review, brilliant machine. Looks absolutely stunning in this shade of red..

Yes those bike dryers are dead handy aren’t they! Especially in the wet months….
Fantastic! Was hoping you'd do a review of the Ninja 1000- my all time fav do-it-all motorcycle for a big fat rider
Glad to help!
👌 Your reviews keep getting better. Always entertaining and informative.
👋 Cheers from Pennsylvania, US.
Thanks 👍
I have a 2020, which I bought for touring, and I have to say this is a bike I could ride all day. I would not hesitate to take it cross country. This is my first Japanese bike, basically I am a Euro snob when it comes to motorcycles. I added a few bits, a Corbin seat for one which goes a long way in the all-day comfort of the bike. This bike is good looking, but it's a far cry from MV's motorcycle art. Then again MV doesn't have anything close to this type of bike. If you want a SPORT-touring bike you have 2 choices, this bike or the Suzuki GSX-S GT+
Nice bike i part ex mine for a z900rs which i am very happy with from tony at on yer bike he is a top man to deal with i have bought many bikes from him
Agreed!
That sound is awesome! I do miss the 4 cylinder roar and back in the day this bike would be pretty much top of my list. Great review....cheers Andy! keep doing what your doing :-)
Thank you as ever - will do!
Yeah been waiting for this. Been looking to upgrade from my Ninja 650
Good move up!
Not a 1300GS review! Makes a refreshing change from every other youtuber today 🤣🤣🤣
I like to try and be a little bit different!
I love sports-tourers but with the emphasis on touring. I don’t need a hooligan bike that has luggage capacity and weather protection. This one I like.
Still a Transformer bike but I like the color scheme.
Yesterday, today and tomorrow we had lots of rain and there’s more to come.
Yes roll on summer and decent biking weather eh!?
Nice review Mate - somehow i missed it! So you ride the Suzuki S1000GT a few years ago too. How does this compare? Which would you choose?
This - love the big Kwak - much under rated I reckon, comfy, powerful, looks good....
Reminds me of my old ZX11 which just might be the best bike I ever owned.
Love your videos, entertaining and very informative, I’m a Harley rider, but I’m thinking of getting this bike. Looks like a good tour, and lighter. I’m from the USA , I like what you’re saying 👍
Good choice!
A nice looking bike, I would have loved this back in the 80's/90's when touring Europe. Maybe a bit too much today for a run to the cafe.
Kawasaki...............One of my Favourite Brands, would Love to see you do a Review on the New ZX-4RR (Inline 4) if ever you get a chance in the Future.
Don’t worry it’s high on my list of “must ride” bikes!
After 10 minutes remembered you can slow down the video, after another 5 minutes paused at the perfect time to read the small print. Thought it was a competition to get some TMF goodies 😂😂
Sorry about that!
thanks for the posting. I was expecting to see/view your views on the GS1300. Lambchops, 44 teeth, usernamekate, of the new GS all have posted reviews. Looking forward to your review. Good review, as usual, on the Kawi.
Well I’m sure I’ll get around to reviewing the new GS at some point - I need to find someone willing to lend me one first!
Rode one at kawasaki demo in bristol VA loved it, when I upgrade from my z1000 probably what I'll go with.
Thanks for all the great video's!
My pleasure! Thank you so much for watching!
Great looking bike. Kawasaki reliability. However on touring spec model Kawasaki advise against fitting a top box which is a shame.
Yes nuts that isn’t it…
Just bought a new one, thanks for your review, I think I have watched it 5 or 6 times.....
Gret bike isn't it - under-rated I reckon...
Nice review Andy. Looks and sounds fabulous and one for a future look. Still loving the BMW RS at the mo though 😀
Fair enough!
@@mathiashammar1 Thanks for the real world feed back mate :)
@@mathiashammar1 Simple ECU flash and slip-on pipe, the H2SX can make about 240 wheel horsepower.
My partner hates the grab handles as they are too low unless she has short arms. She doesn't find the pillion seat that comfortable either sadly 😢
This is a great review. It was between this and the GSXS1000GT that I ended up getting in August of this year.
In the next year or so I am hoping to trade up to the H2 SX SE.
