I watched this video the day you put it up and now I'm watching it again since I got a K24Z7 long block from work for $100. (Core) getting more knowledge on the K series now.
Cams is the hard choice. I'm looking into Drag Cartel and the 4Piston RR3's if they do my headwork. Have you had any experience with either cam choice? Thanks for covering the Nippon Racing Pistons, been looking for info on these and opinions for a long time. They will be in my block for sure, probably 87.5 or 88mm if possible.
james bowling been talking about Nippon pistons for years, surprised you haven’t already crossed my channel. I’m only getting to the point of doing cams now. Until recently I’ve always been a strictly forced induction kinda guy. Eventually I’m going to map out a bunch of cost worthy/best result cam options so I don’t have to dig and do the research case by case
Hey man, just looking for some advice if you could help me out. I’m using RRC pistons in my k24/20. Head is k20a2 PRB so CR should be 12.5:1 I think? I used zeal auto works calculator and it came back at 13.5, but may have my info wrong. My main question is regarding 50 degree vtc. Do you know if the full 50 degrees is safe to use with stock camshafts? Any help is appreciated, thank you
@@VHBEngines i never understood that , they literally make oem pistons that came in hondas i think they know what they doin..lol.. when i use to tell ppl they thought i was lieing but everyone i knew that built with je pistons motors didnt last long
if your going to do a piston/rod build for boost i always recommend forged pistons for the k. we already know what the stock rotating assembly can handle so no point swapping that with something thats about the same. i could get you a piston rod combo for $880 as opposed to the 550. not much of a cost jump and the setup is rated for 700whp and seen more

Is the RBB k24 head going to put it at 13.5 on a k24a block with the RRC pistons
just ordered these pistons/rods :)
How does a heaver piston and rod affect power. And does compression compensate for the extra weight.
