Oh dear, just look how the Tiger disintegrated not good! I've got the same bike which I love, lesson learnt. I learnt 39 years ago when in the Army on Canam 250's training, came around a back lane corner and my mate had stopped along with the instructor, our rear panier rails entwined and down we both went, but no damage to either of us or the bikes, thank god. That's a harsh lesson in just how fast things happen. Hope you are ok, I'm sure you'll treat your mate to a free bike check at BMW and get yours up and running soon.
Hi Andrew Thanks for watching and commenting! I suppose we all learn a hard lesson at some point in our riding history. Yes, a split second is all it takes for things to go south very quickly. My friend's BMW is covered by my comprehensive insurance, so his will get sorthed, in time. All parts are ordered for his bike, just waiting upon delivery. There will be an update video coming out soon in relation to mine!
Hi brettles-neo Thanks for commenting! It is a bit confronting. We're alright, Carl had a very sore leg for several weeks and I had neck and shoulder stiffness.
Congratulations on getting three hundred subscribers. I just happen to be subscriber 301! You could start a "Tree of shame", and add your broken bike parts to it. You need a t shirt that says "¿ǝʞıq ʎɯ sı ʍoɥ 'ǝuıɟ ɯ,ı" Were the bikes able to be ridden, and what parts did you need to replace? I am just curious what the cost is to replace your damaged parts. I know some OEM parts can be very expensive, but the aftermarket is always low price for cheap parts, and could be expensive for quality parts. Take care guys, ride safe.
Hi Paul Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing, much appreciated! The tree of shame would have many, many parts and bits on it. Love the t-shirt suggestion! Both bikes were very rideable, Carl’s has fairly superficial damage to the rear. We started the Tiger shortly afterwards and it fired up and idled with no issues. I put the main bits, including the TFT, from the bike in the top box, only to realise the TFT had to be plugged in again for the Tiger to start and operate. It rode flawlessly and I felt no vibrations through the front wheel or handlebars. We both returned home safely. There’s an update video coming out soon.
Hi Brook Thanks for watching and commenting! You didn’t shout loud enough! 😉 I suppose an incident can happen at any juncture, but we should have turned left at O’Brien Rd. 👍🏻
Distracted by gadgets and waffling and not watching where you are going . Luckily you didn't injure your mate or push him out in front of a lorry . If you'd crashed into me like that your insurance would be a lot more expensive next year .

No major injuries, lucky really.

I respect your comments ballockybill, although I'll not engage any further.
@@TheNakedBikers Cool , hopefully you watch where you're going in future , and if I was your mate I'd let you ride in front .
