A lot of PvP games so here are my Co-op recommendations.
Crossfire: Sierra Squad - The best arcade co-op VRFPS. Instant action with short levels make it perfect when you've got the urge to jump into an chaotic gunfight which very few singleplayer/co-op VR games have. The VR mechanics since launch have improved a lot, going from negative reviews to mostly positive so it's worth another look if you haven't already.
Tactical Assault VR - The best tactical co-op VRFPS, similar appeal to Onward co-op but with more focus on breaching and clearing buildings. The sound design carries the simple graphics and the low margin for error makes it surprisingly immersive. GT has a video that shows how chaotic and fun it can be.
Crossfire is fabulous
@@GAMERTAGVR I'm new to VR, Quest3. which is the better FPS for casual gamer? I thought Breachers looked good but seems too competitive for a casual gamer.
Mine would be CrossFire Sierra Squad on PSVR2 👍🏼 Realism coop with a tactical minded teammate is unmatched.
Best VR FPS : Firewall : Zero Hour Worst VR FPS : Firewall : Ultra :( R.I.P Firewall
it's still the best fps sadly
Funny enough Firewall was in my script but it was awkward. How can I recommend a game hardly anyone plays only to then follow it up with not recommending the newest version. Just know Firewall meant a lot to me
@@GAMERTAGVR Yes I know you liked Firewall and was surprised for a minute it wasn't in the list then I saw it was for 2024...You would be surprised that there is still a decent amount of people playing the first game online. I need to try it out again soon! Such a shame we aren't even going to get a decent fps on PSVR2 in the future due to Sony abandoning it after launch.
@@GAMERTAGVR you can't - you did the right thing -
@@jakkudemoff3043
Why sadly?Still great and plenty of players still active bro.
I love everything about Contractors Showdown except that it's battle royale - traditional death match, capture point, etc will always be more fun and engaging to me - same reasons I dropped off pop one
play original contractors then🤡 Showdown is the same game mechanic-wise but in battle royale mode.
Nice video!! For me it’s Breachers with Showdown as number 1, than Pavlov in 2°, Onward 3° and Tabor 4°
Thank you and love your choices
Absolutely should of been titled as best VR PVP FPS Shooters to date. I doubt even half of these games would make a FPS list if PVE games were included. Also, some of the games on the list stand out above the others if you mention that they also have true PVE included with the PVP. That being said, the list does pretty much cover every PvP VR game with any decent amount of player-base remaining; Sadly, they all rely on the same fairly moderate sized community for success.
Playing PVE in VR is just fucking weird. I couldn't sit alone playing by myself makes you feel like a freak. PVP is where it's at.
I used to love Hyper Dash on the Quest 2, I wish they brought it over to PSVR2
FINALLY some one covering FPS's 95% of the reason i got into VR( just on 5 weeks now) thank you
Hey Gary. Glad you jumped into VR. It’s proper cool isn’t it
Every single one of these are great. Raptor Studios has some great shooters but it just feels always lacking somehow. I would add War Dust and Stand out VR as noticeable mentions. I had fun in those too. Maybe they just feel unfinished.
I think I agree with everything on this list, although I'd swap Tabor to be #2 and Pavlov to #3.
Onward 1.7 is the definitive version unlike the current version which is completely watered down, despite years of updates 1.7 is still way ahead of what we have now, there's a Discord for finding players if you need it. CS Showdown is a solid #1, GOTY for sure.
Crossfire Sierra Squad is awesome imo with lots of single player content
I love contractors showdown
its cool, but iam bad. and the guides doesnt help me. i played around 20-30 matches, but never got a kill, and maybe 4-5 knockdowns. i dont know how ppl are this good at this game. like they have assists on or somthing.
Too janky and unpolished for me. It feels like a game that's in beta.
You nailed the top 2, these two games are killing it right now!
pavlov is nowhere near showdown/tabor/breachers in terms of popularity and concurrent players online.
@@ssdeaglez but pavlov is an amazing experience, tabor is janky, breachers is full of little kids.
@@angrybeaver6667 I agree, specifically PCVR/PSVR version is amazing. But still online is not that big and sometimes it's hard to find search and destroy lobby. btw all meta quest games are full of little kids.
Are you reviewing Theif simulator . Just did an hour and it's very detailed but frame rate drops all the time and some background areas keep twitching . Definitely needs and a graphical upgrade and patch .
Yes tomorrow
Controversial opinion, but I'm currently loving playing through Crossfire: Sierra Squad on the PSVR2. Great game on realistic mode.
It’s a great game
I agree with this ranking. I play most of these games, coming from Tabor I didn’t like Showdown at first but I ended up playing it more lmao
Hyper dash and original Contractors (with Star Wars mod) are my favourites.
In terms of gameplay and fast arcadey fps feel, Alvo is my clear number 1
It's interesting you did not mention the PUSH mode for Pavlov which would probably change your mind again.. Did you just not notice due the lack of PC play? It is even supported for the PSVR2 since the new duo map update. 👀
🤔 no push is there but I haven’t actually played it yet
@@GAMERTAGVR give it a go or you regret it 😁
I mean, it had issues at launch but firewall ultra shits on some o these, for real. Was it a quest focused list?
Firewall Ultra is why FCE no longer exists...absolute turd of a sequel that ruined Firewall :(
There is no point mentioning a game I can’t recommend. The original Firewall was in my script and so was Ultra but ultimately I feel It should really be removed from the PS store
Honestly, Firewall Ultra only needed a few simple fixes and it would be amazing. It looks great and PS5 pro would have probably given it a native 90fps. Unfortunately, too many aholes treated the devs like shit and they jumped ship.
@@GAMERTAGVR OK fair enough dude.
@@shenmeowzo believe me when I say Firewall meant so so much to me. Heres the script: First up we have the original firewall Zero Hour on PSVR. Playing this game back in the day using the aim controller was a truly fantastic experience I’ll never forget. This was the first rainbow 6 style game in vr I had always wanted, but unfortunately firewall ultra was a huge miss for the PSVR2 community. I feel the developers tried their best to make every used of the PSVR2 tech features and in doing so led to some bad features and bad choices resulting in game that eventually killed the studio. I can’t recommend anyone buy it and it still saddens me that this happened. This game could have propelled PSVR2 sales so much higher
Switch contractors with pavlov and you have thr right list 😀
Hey thanks for your comment, if you don't mind, I was wondering, which game would you say is better on Native Quest 3 between Pavlov and Contractors. Most important thing to me is gun mechanics, which game has the most realism. Thank you!
@MR-mitch too close to see any difference, contractors is definitely more fun with the mods and I find easier to navigate than pavlov
pavlov is better with out mods imo only reason i play contractors cause of pmc mod
not adding H3VR to this list is a crime! Extremely underrated game );
Yeh amazing game, showdown is brilliant 👏
I bought contractors (first one ) and I hated it, I just cannot get used to the controls. On the other side, population one I love. It is just much more feedback to when I do damage and I don’t just drop dead all the time. I haven’t bought showdown for that reason, as I think it will just be more of the same. I prefer the more like cod style of fps and contracts is not that.
Do you have a list of OFFLINE FPS (non-horror) games? Thanks
I can try to rustle something up
That be awesome thanks for mentioning it marcelevy1506
Bought Contractors Showdown few days ago, but I feel so weak! In normal Contractors I think IT was easier? Need to play more to get better!
I think all shooters in VR are FirstPersonShooters
Contractors > Pavlov in my opinion. How recently did you play Contractors again? Early on, it was not the equal of Pavlov. But at some point they made big updates that remade the game and started really leaving Pavlov behind. Pavlov I feel is still stuck in 2017 while Contractors became (and defined) the modern FPS VR game. Anyway Contractors Showdown is more or less just Contractors in a battle royale format. So it's strange that you'd think the latter is #1 while the former is so far down the list.
Hey thanks for your comment, if you don't mind, I was wondering, which game would you say is better on Native Quest 3. Most important thing to me is gun mechanics, which game has the most realism. Thank you!
@@MR-mitch Afraid I can't help you with that. I have PCVR and Quest 3, and I only play native Quest 3 for games that are not available on PCVR. Since playing the same game on PCVR is always better.
@@SargonDragon Jealous! No worries, worth a try.
Hopefully theyre going to release a contractors overhaul soon, the co-founder of caveman "announced" an update on his twitter
GG GT! 👊😎
GG my man
Onward and contractors for me!
Question: Why are there only multiplayer games on this list what about the single player first person shooters with Campaigns?
VAIL is my personal #1. I've played almost all of the other titles on the list but I've dropped them all except VAIL and Showdown.
I think the VAIL 1.0 release in February was a good start to an official release, but it certainly needs a bit more in terms of quality of life features and content (modes / maps / dual wielding). While it is my personal #1, I think with some updates, it will be more consistently in the general top 3 discussion for others. The good news is that they recently confirmed that they are working towards a 6 week update cycle, with the social hub being one of the next big updates. It definitely has my favorite community out of all of these games as well. Good list though 🫡
Appreciate the comment
Have you played Tales of Glory 2 yet? BANGER
I actually have it. Is it that good
@@GAMERTAGVR i love it. when you start tweaking difficulty settings and number of AI you can really create a lot of experiences. Really satisfying guns, AI, levels and graphics
@@GAMERTAGVR ua-cam.com/video/hcOqKVytEL4/v-deo.html
I would love Contractors Showdown on Psvr2.
Hope they can talk about if its coming or not, because a lot of the users on X are always asking and they dont reply to none.
but we will Have Ghost of Tabor so will be a fun one!
On their Discord, they said it depends on the Quest/PC sales. If not great, not work porting to PSVR2. If it has great sales, PSVR2 will be coming.
@@Armis71 they will sell a lot. I always see a lot of people talking about the game. Hopefully they will port it soon
Which of these 10 games can be played seated?
Check out tactical assault vr it’s my favorite
Tabor always cooks on promotional material lmao
Population One?! If that made it in... then i better see Guardians Frontline make the list 😤 that game is fun and under-rated
into the radius needs more love :(
Seems what is consistent with Meta to PC games is that Devs constantly downgrade graphics. Contractors Showdown's PC graphics looked better in Beta then on release. It's really a shame because Contractors Showdown could be a much better game if they up'd the graphics. Pavlov & Breachers have good graphics on PC/PSVR2 so devs doing it right there.
I do hope that Contractors Showdown comes out on PSVR2 but when they do, take advantage of the Dynamic Foveated Rendering and Eye tracking. I am tired of placating to lowest tier Meta potato graphics.
Onward was so good when it first came out. I stopped playing vr for a year or 2 and came back and the game looked and played so much worse. Its sad that it went downhill to cater to the quest headsets for standalone. PC players shouldn't have had to lose anything from that downgrade. It was one of my favorite shooters, but pavlov is now my go-to
what is the game in the intro on 0:21?
Onward
The Light Brigade is the infinite vr fps in my opinion. I don’t like rouge likes usually, but this is the ONE exception.
1. Breachers - the most polished VR shooter today, no junk, no lags, no bugs. (a little bit raw comp matchmaking but it's okay)
2. Showdown - S tier in terms of fun, but implementation is junky and sluggish af
3. Tabor - needs more updates to deliver wonderful experience. Rn it feels too easy and most people don't pose any threat cuz they're naked
4. Pavlov - potentially the best gunplay out of all vr shooters but lack of updates suck. And splitting pavlov in two games (pc/psvr and shack) doesn't help at all.
Don't see any reason to play pop one after release of showdown unless you're broke. OG contractors is 7/10, mods help but sound design is atrocious, gunplay is average. No one plays MAIN mode (artifact) in VAIL which sucks, completely dead game for me. Didn't play onward.
Contractors showdown is by far the best game on quest. Its not even close. And im not even just talking about the gameplay itself. Even just the amount of work put into it and the amount of content there is. Its brilliant and exactly what mobile vr needs
Agree. It is just ahead of everything else in nearly every way.
List of single player vr shooters has to have Vertigo 2 and ITR
Bring back Echo VR!
I must admit, even though it wouldn’t be on this list you can’t help but think about it when you think of online VR games. I have a feeling it’ll be back
@@GAMERTAGVR Yeah, I know it's not an FPS, but I sunk so many hours into that game. Shame they shut the servers down. I'm surprised there isn't a clone with how popular it was.
I couldn't believe it when they shit down Echo VR.... Braindead move.
LARCENAUTS IS OVERWATCH VR. WAAAAAY better than hyperdash
I liked Larcenauts especially since they developed Farpoint on PSVR but it’s not something I play at all anymore
Ahem,,,, Into the Radius... Just saying.
Contractors Showdown is just super rough and janky to play to me. There's just too much clutter on the vest. It's VR, there's plenty of ways to interact with a UI instead of having everything be right next to each other.
Sliding feels great, but hopping over walls is super inconsistent and super jumpy. It doesn't feel fluid at all.
And the graphics look terrible when you're in an actual match. Not to mention pleanty of bugs.
It just feels like a game that's still in beta.
🗿
🗿
For me personally Pavlov is the king of VR shooters. It has the best gun mechanics too. I can’t stand Contractors showdown. Evenin steam graphics are terrible and the gane is ridiculously hard.
It's more realistic, has a learning curve. I wish Pavlov's gun mechanics were modernized to the Tabor/Showdown level tbh
ua-cam.com/video/GTc8gJAWmQA/v-deo.html , melhor fps de tiro já feito em vr.
I have to say onward is probably the actual worst vr game I’ve ever played it’s not immersive because if you say cock back your pistol your hand doesn’t actually have to hold the slide thing in game your hand is able to be distant from the gun which is honestly bare minimum there and there game mode selection is ass there’s no game mode to just simply do a deathmatch or team death match it’s just a s###ty game
First
Legend 🏆
Every vr fps video has the same old games. What is the point of keep making them? Vr is so dead...
It would be helpful if you included the name of each game written on the screen in the video. I can't work out what some of the games are called based on your voice alone. It would also be helpful if you said which VR headset(s) each game is supported by.
I’ll add timestamps
@@GAMERTAGVR Thanks!
