    Hello Heather. I just came across this video. I was just wondering does Etsy hold funds also on PRINT-ON-DEMAND products where they fulfill orders themselves with tracking and everything??

      I create a multiple canvas Canva template that i drag and drop my designs onto where it auto places and auto-adjusts transparency. Usually this is 5 to 7 image cards and the last two are a size and color chart. Hopefully this helps!

    Hi Heather!
    Super random.. I have quite a few older listings that I just feel like pulling off. Will this help my conversion rate with views too? I’ve got about 170 listings. Probably will can about 40 of the early ones I don’t like now. What do you think? They have had no interaction. My shop has been open for about 4 months now and I just hit 20 sales! Feeling more confident with the direction I want to go with my shop. Thanks!

    I love the idea of an Etsy Verified system rather than a suspension system. I bet Etsy could even charge new sellers to become a "Verified Seller." A verification system could be really lucrative for everyone. Day 4 I had two sales back to back. Shop suspended and then unsuspended once the order was delivered. The only way I knew my shop was back was due to a sale. Are you going to do an overview of how many sales you had day by day over your 21 day challenge?

    Hi Heather! I am new to Etsy and I have a question! When you make sale's on Etsy, do they pay you first, then you pay the POD company, or do you have to pay for your products first out of your own pocket. The reason I asked is because I don't have access to credit cards at this time. Please help, thank you ❤❤!

    I'm a student of yours, and you've done a shop review for me in the past. I implemented your suggestions, but still no traction. I now have 540+ listings. Haven't had a sale in over 2 weeks, when before I was getting one to two sales a week. I had another shop review from Jenn about two weeks ago and again implemented her suggestions. I feel like I'm doing everything right but I'm still failing, and I dont know what to do. I'm constantly seeing new shops pop up on UA-cam with their amazing results, and it's really discouraging. My mind cant understand how you got three sales in one day on day 11. That's really incredible. I feel like a broken record constantly asking questions and asking for help. Do I keep going and hope for the best, or is it time to give up now? If you don't remember me, I'm the one who started my shop in 2009 with handmade items, but I started doing POD in the same shop last October. I have four daughters I'm doing this for. I'd really, really like for it to work.

      I feel your frustration!! I don’t have that many listings or been in the POD game as long, but I get visits, ect, but I haven’t even had a sale!! Idk if it’s my designs? No reviews or what-but I am ready to have family and friends order some products to see. I haven’t told many people about the shop in hopes I can get sales and have some input back. Idk how ppl open new stores and get sales when they’re listing items that look like others unless they are not organic? I’m doing everything with SEO, mock ups, designs as each has said to do. I truly hope you get sales again soon!!

      This is slower season for Etsy but, from what you've posted on our FB group, you are still doing really well and it may just be a downtrend in sales right now for the niches you are in. In this series, I've been using heavy ad spend for this challenge that I'm going to talk about later on but this is one reason for the high sale volumes.
      I think it's a good time to recognize that everyone's journey is unique. It's easy to get wrapped up in the 'this person's making this many sales and I'm not' world. I know you began in October and you've hit great milestones already. Sometimes it takes time and I've seen past clients who've done Etsy for 2 years until they spiked and began hitting 30K+ months, etc. I try to keep my focus on my own shop and use the proof that other shops doing high sales as motivation rather than discourage myself. There are Etsy & POD shops who have larger results that what I'm showing in this series- but I'm not letting that stop or halt me in posting these vlogs is what I'm trying to get at. There's always going to be someone with better results.
      In this series I'm showing small wins but overall, this business is not seeing profit yet from the investments in mockups, softwares and ad spend. I'd like to acknowledge that in most of my businesses, even if I'm not seeing the goals I'd like I still celebrate the small wins. My new shop is not at the level I wish it were at either and instead of feeling down I'm trying to use that as fuel to work harder. That's my best bit of advice is just keep going as you've made huge strides in improvement and I wouldn't compare my journey or anyone's because you're doing incredible things as well! ❤

      @@KariCox-i7t you are welcome!! Honestly, I second guess myself and make things more complicated than they are especially after I watch one of Heather or Cassidy’s design tutorials! Blows my mind how fast they are!! And the design is done in 10 mins if that and I’m still questioning which font looks best 🙄 Heather and Cassiy too are really great about making us feel comfortable and that our worries and concerns are normal and it’s ok to feel uncomfortable or question a lot! It takes me a long time to design or even finding something on CF that I feel I can change up and add value to! I have the drive and motivation but I wonder if I haven’t found the right niches or products yet? You seem to have done a lot which is awesome!! And maybe if some are evergreen you will be in the algorithm and start booming soon!! Have you tried multiple products? Who do you watch besides Heather? I watch all of hers, Cassiy”s, CUOnline, Shawna’s, Juna, Phillip, Anji Long…a few more. Mainly all the regular ones that all interview one another on the platform idk of a Jenn? Unless it was Heathers student she interviewed awhile back? . Some of Hanna’s and Ryan’s more for info and products. I’d like to do jewelry, but idk if I can add that to my list. Maybe it’s what I need though? See I question everything! Best regards to you! I believe things will work their self out for you since you already was seeing some traction. It’s more than I have. I need to design quicker and scale them out more!

      @@stacyosborn4537 Hey Stacy. I think a really good rule of thumb to remember while pushing through these journeys of POD is that you have to try not to overthink things. I am a HUGE overthinker. Always have been. However! When I watch these youtube videos with all these amazing stories, you have to take a moment and realize that these folks are giving you the best advice they possible can. They give you the best tools to help you move forward in a positive manner. However! You kinda have to take tid bits of everything their saying to you and make it work for you. - So in the end, I think its best not to overthink your designs or how long its taking you. All of those things will come with time and you'll get better and better. You just need to have patience with yourself and the process, and don't zero in on all the little things. Just make a design and then move on to the next. :D

    Thank you so much for your videos! They suspended all my shops due to a lot of activity and a unpaid ads bill. I got a permanent suspension notice but then once I appealed they said it was due to a unpaid bill and said once its paid that my shops would automatically reinstate. That was 6/22 still no access. Very frustrating since there's no real way to talk to a actual rep. They gave a 2 week timeline tomorrow is my two weeks.. GRRRRR.

I always get confused when people say (for example: do 5 listings-is that 5 different designs or 2-3 designs or even some tweaks to one and then different SEO) I really have a hard time with getting out of my head on if my design looks good enough!! And I know your vlogging is helping with being open with mental health, anxiety, second guessing ect because I am here to say I am thankful for your videos! You know as I have said before I am in medical field too (a RN) but I’ve always felt I needed to be in a “specialized” medical field to help others in medical ways, but in that time of life I couldn’t go to college 3-4 more years! And maybe you could as well if you ever go back. I doubt you want to go back to college either lol. However, you are helping others enough just as you are on here And I have a feeling you have even more…bigger & brighter helpful ways that will help you and others in this lifetime!! Hi Heather, my store as been open going on six months with a smattering (7) sales, and yet I got the dreaded "reserve" message a few weeks ago - 90 day reserve period! Why do you think that happened on an older shop that's definitely not scaling?

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  Рік тому +2

      I've seen this a lot with shops under 1 year old- I'm not sure why Etsy does this and I like to compare it to a 'probationary period' when I got hired at my previous jobs. I think Etsy just puts people into that when you first start getting sales to make sure the orders go through. That's my only reasoning for why this happens.
      DISCLAIMER: I do not work or represent for Etsy or any of it's affiliations. Any response is based off of my own experiences.

    • @stacyosborn4537
      @stacyosborn4537 Рік тому

      I keep hearing about the payment reserve can you explain what that meant for your store? Is it you won’t get your $ back for an X amount of time even if orders go through and you paid your print co? Or as soon as that clears you get paid? Ty in advance-I’m sure being new this will happen to me. I already had the suspended shop as soon as I listed 2 products for being new-that took 4 wks to get lifted!!

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  Рік тому +1

      @@stacyosborn4537 For payment reserve Etsy holds your funds under the order is completed and tracking information is added. I've received deposits from Etsy throughout this challenge so it's not that big of an effect on my account- I should've mentioned this in the video. Etsy does hold funds until the item is shipped basically or if you do not submit tracking info they will also hold funds as seen in this article: help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058722214-What-is-a-Payment-Account-Reserve-?segment=selling

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  Рік тому +1

      My suggestions are based on my experiences as I've found really any number of listings a day consistently is what matters. Listing less listings gives more time to put thought and intention into those listings as opposed to higher numbers of listings. Listing a lot makes it so that you gain visibility/views quicker. I think both methods are great either way. I'm doing 5 listings a day for this challenge but prior to this I was doing less listings per day.
