I opened my shop 1 and a half month ago. I have watched a lot of your videos that helped me in many ways. First month all i have done was posting designs and running 5 usd/day ads. Finally, after one month i had my first sale and from then I managed to get about 1 sale every 2 days. I'm so happy that my work finally feels productive. I feel very optimistic about my journey to come. Thanks a lot for all your advices❤

Canva has a pretty good mockup generator now! Just an option if someone is already invested in Canva and still needs mock-ups!

I'm a big fan of all of your videos. I hope your dad is recovering quickly from back surgery.
I'm now ready to "pull the trigger" on starting my shop. I wanted to take advantage of the 30 day free trial of Printify Premium using your promo code, but on the page where it asks for my Credit Card information, there's no place to enter the promo code.
I'm currently waiting to chat with a customer service rep, but I've been waiting for about an hour. I thought I'd ask you.
    Thanks in advance!

Why didn’t you mention the actual cost that everyone has to pay to the actual print on demand companies upfront before you can get your money from Etsy because they hold your money from the sales and if you don’t pay the pod co. or if you don’t have it the product doesn’t go into production to get printed in the first place

Printify provides a lot of mockups for free.
They also provide a lot of color charts and size charts.
Are those enough or is there some specific reason to buy other mockups, color and size charts?

Should we have 100 unique designs or can the same design go on different products to add to those 100 listings?

I am a professional graphic designer and have access to all of Adobe's apps, and work freelance as a designer for sports apparels. Would you recommend Canva and Kittl for someone like me still? Thanks

Anything on resale license resale tax? I'm not sure what it's called but in the state of Texas you need to file for this i imagine its the same in other states with sales tax.

I started my store on 1st April and have listed around 250 items. Etsy says (on payment account page) that I have $55.83 due and my shop will be suspended if I don't pay it by May 22. I thought we were charged for listings every 4th month. I don't understand why Etsy is asking me to pay the amount after one month of starting my store. I feel discouraged since I have only made 1 sale in 1 and a half month and I already have a $55.83 bill to pay. I don't know if I should even continue selling on Etsy. Do you think I should atleast try it for 4 months and see if it works or not. I'd really appreciate any advice from you.

Hi Abhinav, you’re charged for listings usually the time when you list($0.20 per listing), payment is usually due the week of listing. I showed in the video a lot of the initial startup costs are around $50 to $100 including mock-ups + listings.
I would contact Etsy and ask them further if you need help to clear up confusion.

Hi Heather.. I have 150 Print on demand designs ready to be uploaded on my general print on demand Apparel store. Do you recommend I upload the 150 deformed
Designs right away on my store in 1 day or do you recommend I only upload 50 designs per day over the next 3 days? Just curious what will be the best strategy in this case considering it’s going to be my first pod store?

If you haven’t opened shop yet it may be best to upload at a slower pace as you could trigger the algorithm to auto suspend. I’ve uploaded 20+ listings in a day but have been open for a while. I’d say 5 to 15 is a good pace but I have to state that you may trigger the system no matter what-usually after this initial suspension you don’t have problems though.
To note: I don’t work for Etsy so I can’t speak on their behalf, this answer is from my own experiences.

The Etsy fees make it hard to actually make a good profit in pod. Do you recommend doing free shipping on your shop? I don’t have free shipping on my items but I have the setting where if someone spends over $35 they get free shipping… recently sold 2 t shirts and a phone case and made a whopping $11

Do you think it is hard to make "a profit" or to make "a good profit"? Because those are two completely different things. The average profit in POD is between 20 to 30%. The average profit for a "regular" small business is between 7-10%. 20 to 30% profit is a VERY good profit; especially since the initial investment doesn't even reach $1,000, you don't have to pay rent for office space, you don't need machinery, you don't need inventory, you don't need to hire employees, you don't need business insurance, you don't need to actively "sell" anything, you don't have to ship anything.
If we want easy "legal" money, this is as easy as it comes!
