Okay Scott first of all good video however you may want to try what is more commonly known as the suitcase method it removes all strain from the leg. One of these days I'll make a proper how to video about him catching the solo and then I'll explain why we use the suitcase method. The Drone flipping upside down is actually an inconsistency with a gyroscope it's a very easy fix by doing a hard reset of the Drone and then recalibrating the compass and Gyro. it takes about 35 minutes to do a complete recalibration of the solo but it is totally worth it and it will solve your flipping over problem. I have landed on all sorts of uneven surfaces and never once had a flip over however this has been talked about time and time again on the solo forum and the Facebook groups and it always comes back to an inconsistent calibration or more commonly known as a flat calibration. Good video brother I can't wait to see that thing with a gimbal on it you may even want to consider installing a third-party pwn gimbal cuz it's cheap and easy. also don't forget those batteries are 5 years old they are starting to fail so do not push those batteries hard at all they will pop like a zit during your flight and caused the solo to drop out of the sky like a rock if you haven't started thinking about doing the battery mod it's probably time those old packs are only getting older and the cells are degrading at this point they cannot be pushed hard
@@scottsdronereviews9292 no sir the mods that I have are already ones that have been claimed you have to send me your solo batteries and I take the internals out and convert them over to a modified setup

What firmware you got ? And what do you do to stop props?
On the 3dr solo props stop on there own once you hold the throttle stick down til the props stop
