Thanks for the time stamps Chappers.
AFTER 15 YEARS OF DEMO'S I HAVE FOUND IT - The ultimate, USA made overdrive pedal and it just so happens to be made by the company I've just signed an endorsement deal with
Rob how can I get axe like pro ML1
100% total. coincidence. *vomits in mouth*
What are the odds!!!?
Such a hooowah.
I was thinking the exact same thing. What a douchebag
AFTER 15 YEARS OF DEMO'S I HAVE FOUND IT! a totally normal OD pedal, while making another clickbait title for one of my videos! :D
Hhahaa ooo boy
BadCat kicks ass but this video is like Ronald McDonald saying McDonalds has the best American cheeseburger
extra cheese on this one....
They do have a good cheeseburger
They make sick gear dude. What r u smoking?
this actually is good cat
"Bad Cat Explosion," in my pants
Funny how it’s the best pedal ever and you just signed with them. Feels like salesman hyperbole.
What do you expect him to say." Oh it's a shit pedal that's why I sign with them and I gonna trash on the pedal". Anyone with a single living brain cell could figure that out.
His whole channel was about selling guitars and gears.
Also...using a Chapman. Coincidence? 🧐
@@barkinstarfish and of playing mediocre
What's the matter Commie?... You got a problem with Capitalism?
Well I doubt he would sign with a company who made shit. Sooo.......
Thank you for this demo! Mine just came in a few minutes ago and it is glorious! Exactly what I’ve been wanting. Simple, straight forward, and absolutely beautiful sounding. This will be a mainstay on my board now. Cheers!
Love the sound and that Tele is just beautiful.
I love a elegantly made telecaster it just shows class
Sounds great!
Loving those tones awesome 😎
Still use my boss overdrive -simple, robust and still sounds : well boss actually
I wanna buy the SD1 MIJ... they t like 200 bucks now but worthit...
Very nice indeed Rob. Might have to have a go on one of those. That silver machine T-Style beast you were playing at the start was fantastic as well.
The colors of the pedal oozes Malta but your guitars are exquisite!!! Amazing things indeed, thank you !!
Tasty and Crunchy what more does a man need - thanks for sharing Rob
I love the simplistic look of that Tele. Gorgeous. Does anyone know what kind of Tele it is?
"I have CRANKED the output!" Output at 12 o'clock... hahaha
Is that carve top Tele rev headstock one of yours?
Where is the best place to buy your guitars I saw some on guitar center but the selection on there wasn't alot to choose from
Love the strat type and the tone TOO rob 👍👍👍
It's almost as though he's never seen a dual overdrive pedal before...
my BE-OD deluxe rules
He's got a wife and family now, he needs money like you wouldn't believe. Don't have a go at him!
If Chapman Guitars ever makes a non-reverse headstock I'll buy one.
Sounds awesome! Are those pickups noiseless?
Also, I have a super special glass slide on its way to me - any chance of a cheeky clockwork wolf and co slide lick video!?
Greetings from New Orleans Rob. I finally found an ML1 within my budget and it arrived today. I adore it. I normally play older stuff, my Daily driver has been a silvertone 1445 for almost 20 years. I gotta say.. I'm glad I finally upgraded. Just wanted to say thank you for giving us up and coming players such an amazing instrument to enjoy.
Congrats on your new guitar dude, thank you so much for supporting me :-)
@@RobChappers you've done the world a service giving us great music and amazing quality instruments. Looking forward to what comes next. Much love from across the pond my friend :)
Sweet Rob...I'll check it out...looks amazing
Love that lower mids bump, I'll bet it sits great in a mix. 😊 Unfortunately with multi channel amps most guitarists don't know the fine art of using their guitars volume controls, lol. Good to see you keeping the classic style alive.
I think you're right, I've been playing for 20 years, most of that time that I have been able to afford gear where it would actually matter in high gain modern metal. Now I'm getting older I recently picked up the single channel orange microdark for a bit of tonal variety at home....and it's a whole other world of guitar tones thanks to the volume on my guitars. Why did noone teach me this sooner!
Rob used a lure and a wild Luke appears 13:26
Awesome pedal.
I found the ultimate boost pedal! And there are two of them! And they are the best ever US made, ever. Not better than any UK pedal, like my own, obviously. But they are super good. 👍🏽
That is one beautiful guitar!!!
Great guitarist and demo man
Forgive my language but that is a fucking tasty tone mate
Beautiful overdrive, Chappers!
It sings like a PRS . Oh hello Paul (comes up. from behind).
that hing....those things go off in your hands wolf whisker thanks for the vid man.....cheers from tasmaniac
Great vid. Pedal to the metal. Thanx Rob
Indeee very great sounding pedal ! And the price is really good ! You made me buy it !
Love your Clean tone.
Sounds like a rehoused tube screamer
Looks and sounds great. However, I will never give up my Way Huge Camel Toe. Really similar pedal I think.
Nice double drive pedal keep it up Rob.
I’ve been mostly an acoustic player. But, I decided this past year to start playing electric. I now own 7 knockoffs that I’m modding. Since I don’t have a Klon, I think this pedal will be a great one to add to my new pedal obsession. Thank you pedal movie! 😂
The Greer organic OD is one of the best ODs I’ve tried.
I’m 4 minutes in and I gotta have this. Thanks 🙏
Gives that humbucker sound to a single coil guitar. Cool, if you want/need that option.
Sounds really good.
I have a MXR bad ass distortion 76, for me it has alot of dynamics and sounds great, lots of sustain.
This pedal demo is great, fantastic piece of gear, versatile.
I Absolutely Agree! Rob, I Love a Harmonic Driven Tone, 😮😎
Just now getting into this video. You’ve just played the clean tones… I hadda say right now, beautiful playing my friend. More comments to come I’m sure. Haha.
I mean that really does sound ridiculously tasty.
Is this something like the Boss Gemini Vai did some time ago? If I recall, the gemini was an OD and a DS (instead of 2 OD like this one), but kinda sounds like the same concept. Cool pedal
Yes indeed, it was an Ibanez pedal.
I use the Jemini exactly like this, as a boost before literally anything, it is amazing for that, gain pretty much off, level up.
For the love of God! Sounds great!
I like the pedal. Nice looking guitar too
Bad Cat sounds like something Brian Setzer would use.
Agreed. I had the Siamese Drive and that was my fav' until it stopped working. I sent it back to the shop and they couldn't get any more to replace it. Might have to get one of these now available in the UK again. Pity their amps aren't easy to get as well.
It was probably mentioned somewhere but... what amp was used for this demo?
😆
Sounds great I'll take one
Rockin Pedal And That Guitar Is Beautiful 👍👍🎶🎶🎸
Nice pedal. What are you playing?
Interesting coming back to this channel, I stopped buying gear about 10 years ago, with the exception of the Boss Katana about 3 years ago.
Music gear really hit a saturation point over the last decade, it's all just highly-overpriced variations on the exact same theme.
Agreed. I got sucked into "the more expensive the better" state of mind. Im cured now. Ive gone back to a rat, big muff, ocd and ts9 for the fuzz n gain on my board.
Old school is best!
You are correct...what's crazy about it is you can build alot of these for like a 3rd of the price they sell them for...all musical/recording equipment is insanely overpriced, like disgustingly. I bet I can build this pedal for like 20-40 bucks
What kind of Tele are you playing?.
Chapman ML3 Pro Traditional :-)
Rob that was awesome now I have to have one. I recently had the same a f f e c t but on the other side of the spectrum the high-gain side. Company is Triton lab the pedal is the Caravan. I put it on my board right next to the tight metal pro the first version and it completely demolished it. I was in utter shock. I assure you my good lad this will be the same thing but with the high-gain. Completely mind- blowing! Cheers my man
What about the Keeley Oxblood?
“The Boy Who Cried Pedal”
I’ve got a way huge double land special hand signed by Joe Bonamassa. It’s the best I’ve used. That sounds great too.
To be completely fair, it's well priced for a dual overdrive pedal. My wampler gearbox and Browne amps protein were both significantly more expensive. Would this knock either one of those two off my board? I'd have to actually play it.
Here, here on Fourth of July by Soundgarden!!!
I can get alot of these tones out of my orange crush 35rt no pedals! Think might have to do with 4 anologue pre amps, you demoed the amp but probably didn't have a year to play with!
What's with the little Brian Stelter figurine in the background?
Cool guitar Rob. is it standard or you're set up?
The ML3 is standard albeit strung with 10-52’s and a high action :-)
Chappers ! You are about the only person I can watch demo pedals ! Brilliant
Really like the amp tone on this one. What amp was used?
Think he said it was the Red Dwarf RD1.
@@gab_ale Thanks! The amp has a very unique quality - it sounds as if it had an overdrive in front of it (before the Bad Cat overdrive is engaged). A similar tone you could get from a nice vintage Marshall or AC30 with some overdrive pedal. Really nice tone directly from the amp.
Sounds like it's essentially 2 klon style circuits in series, also sounds fantastic!
Nordvang Wingman style which is immense…
Very tasty indeed I love it
0:40 Rob clearly processing how to say JAFOD without saying JAFOD 🤣🤣🤣
Oooh I like that Tele :)
Rob went to go buy an sg p90 in pelham blue, got ityesterday, was there about 2 hrs.......and i was pulles towards your guitars, strictly om looks, when i picked them up they were all sooo comfortable....the lines are beautiful like old cars buy yet they look like the future of guitars at the same time...that to me looks like the ferarri of teles... so im gonna go try me some...Good work in the next few yrs you will become a monster in the guitar world! DEFINITLY!
Happy anniversary, Rob! 😊 congratulations!
Not feeling the ‘magnificence’ of that pedal, but that is a stunningly beautiful guitar. Gotta be the nicest-looking Chapman I’ve ever seen [the first one: silver]. I may have to steal that paintscheme for a guitar I want to build.
The age old question of Do we need another distortion/OD pedal to go with the 10,000 we already have? Yes. That’s sounding good on UA-cam, so I can only imagine how good it sounds in person. And coupled with the best reverb pedal ever made, the Reverberator, and that sweet assed ML3 (me thinks) in the hands of the all time gear demo man…I like it a lot
Before you added gain it sounded like Trey Anastasio's sound
Jeeez - Chappers caught OldVid!
08:41 when you say "nothing" keep in mind to have your volumen knob all the way up.
LOVE bad cat amps.
I looked in on Chapman guitars today and wow 😲...really liking:what I see in the ml3 pro modern...thanks for this video...drive junkie 🐒 forever
hey, although the concept of such a pedal is actually not very new (stacked drives) it sounds quite appealing. Never-the-less, I can't get my eyes off of that guitar. I really fancy that approach on a tele.
What kind of delay are you using?
Hi mate, it’s the Neunaber Immerse Reverberator
15 years of blabbermouthing and still going strong.
Chappers, loving that Chapman 'Super' Tele. Sounds awesome. How much are these Tele's retailing for?
why the tele sound so humbucker?
Fantastic review, thanks for all your inspiration Rob, such a great player and you do so much stuff for others in the background, without seeking any reward, thank you.
Better than the Keely D&M Drive? I love that one!
he's signed a deal with badcat sooooo yes. it sounds better. lmaooo
Just curious if there is ever going to be any public comment as to why Matt Hornby left Chapman guitars/Andertons?
Wow that made me realize how long it's been since he was in any videos
I think he was let go to be honest. Maybe just another wage on the books they couldn’t afford? He’s not made a ‘sounds like’ with Bea since around the time he left Chapman. You’d think if he left Chapman of his own accord, he’d continue making content for Andertons as he looked like he enjoyed making that series. Seems to be silence from Matt’s end as well, which speaks volumes. Anyway, it’s all speculation I guess.
He has a podcast called 'music is everything' I noticed
But what about this tasty looking guitar with the binding????
I just got my double drive and it's on freaking real thank you Robby Rob. You got to check out the Caravan dude I'm telling you it's the same thing but but on the other side of the spectrum the beastly side
It all sounds great, but I really appreciated the non-gain sounds- clean clear string tones with juicy harmonics, but with creamy sustain and drive as well.
Lots of different sounds!
Well … that answers the question “which T-type guitar so I want to add to my collection”
As a hard core (and I suspect very hard) Chapman fanboy, do you think I'd be able to play Come As You Are on one of his high quality Alibaba guitars. The last one I bought let me down but he's very good at saying "greetings"...
Rob… I really wish you would consider doing a scalloped fretboard guitar! The Fender Malmsteen version is way out of my affordability, so I thought about having a scalloping job done on a Squier. But, I still wish you’d consider it.
This salesman * cough * guy needs a new suit.
