I will start out with the fact that I am a 22lr Rifle addict and have many, many, of them. I bought this Winchester Xpert rimfire about five months ago. It doesn't have swivel "studs", but it does have sling mounts; one is at the end of the butt stock and the other is under that rail cover on the front. I have a sling attached to mine. I forget what Weaver bases it takes, but I got them on clearance at our local store for $3 each (total $6.00). I put a Burris 4.5-14x42 scope on it with Vortex rings. Its purpose for me is to throw it in my truck during ground squirrel season and it is more than accurate for hitting them at about 80 to 100 meters. I actually like the stock, but then again, I am only 5'9".

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. Crazy part is, mine did not even come with a manual. Did not even know about the rail. Will certainly look at it for the full review. Thanks! This was my first impressions after bringing it home, have not looked at it since... but had the footage and decided to make sure I publish it and not just hit delete.

@@SlavGuns That is weird that it didn't come with a manual. I think once you get a scope on it, you will enjoy it for what it is; a $250 plinker.

FN owns Winchester and Browning firearms. Winchester Olin ammunition is a completely different company. The company was split years ago.

Thanks for that, did not realize FN purchased Browning and Winchester arms.

FN Herstel doesn’t own Winchester, but Olin leases out the name to them. And I’m pretty sure Olin makes the Browning BPR .22LR ammo. It’s identical to the Winchester m-22 in ballistics and look other than headstamp.

@@stevennewman4778 Winchester repeating arms no longer exists. All firearms with the Winchester name come from Browning and some came from the FN plant in Columbia (though not currently). Most Winchester production is now overseas. Olin leases out the trade mark that’s it.

I'm really interested in the sporter wood stock version of this, but can't seem to find it anywhere. How much shooting have you done with this one so far?

The stock is gonna keep this thing from being popular.

From everything I saw, this is a decent rimfire gun. nice and smooth and actually shoots decent as compared to the 2x more expension POS springfield Armory rimfire 2020.
