- Опубліковано 14 сер 2024
- This is a video made to answer a question from a subscriber. He asked how well this laser engraver would work for marking tools. The best way to answer is to show it on video.
I grabbed a bunch of various tools in less than new condition...some pretty old, and turned on the camera while engraving them.
Transparency: I was provided this Atomstack M4 laser engraver by the company in exchange for an honest review video. I've already done that video, so this video is done under no obligation or payment. The sole purpose of this video is to provide more information and examples of what this machine can do. I will provide a link to this item on Amazon, but it is not my link, not my store, and I make nothing off Amazon if you use this link to make a purchase.

Thanks for watching!
While they will never replace my passion for Woodturning, these engravers are a lot of fun. Really enjoyed this one, Rod!
I'm with you there, Gord! They're a great addition to the workshop... or a tool to build a crafting business around, but I need me some wood shavings in my life!! Happy to be able to show/share the potential of these devices with everyone. Thanks very much!
Rod,
The phrase “Measure Twice, Cut Once” reminded me of a famous measurement mnemonic from the boatbuilding industry: “Measure with a micrometer, mark it with chalk and cut it with an axe!”
Keep the aspidistra flying!
God bless,
Paul
haha! I like that! Thanks, Paul!
That is a really impressive laser.
The one thing I can't do on my LP 2 is engrave a shiny surface.
The Atomstack took it in its stride.
Great video my friend.
Take care.
Cheers, Huw
funny thing about it is that this Atomstack M4 doesn't engrave wood unless it has a coating on it of paint or something. it's a different animal for sure. Thank you!
@@RHumphrey That makes sense. Horses for courses. The LP will do metal as long as it's covered
Good morning, Rod.
A very worthy and informative video showing capabilities and actual time of various applications. Enjoy each day.
Thank you, brother!
I like how you engraved the vice grips so a thief can read your name while using them! 😄
hahaha! Maybe they'll feel guilty... no, probably not.
Thank you, Bruno--this was a thought-provoking video in many ways. The number of engravers out there is getting staggering, and a cool, time-efficient use is a definite to our community.
Thanks, CAPNMAC, I agree!
Great video Rod. It would be great to engrave some medallions to glue in the bottom f wood turnings.
I'm actually working on some now. If all goes well, and it is so far, I'll be offering that service soon. Thanks, Jack!
Very cool toy!
This is a keeper for sure.
Best way to describe this is “ Nice and fun👍. “ Enjoyed watching. See ya soon Brother.
Thanks, brother!
Thanks Rod. Really appreciate it. Guess I'll start saving money for the M4.
You're very welcome, happy to help. Yep, it's a bit on the spicy side, no doubt. I'm hoping the company gives me another coupon code to help out...
Nice. That is a really nice machine. Thanks for showing the capabilities of it. Semper Fi!
you're very welcome!
I need to look into these more deeply
Awesome machine!
Thanks for demonstrating ❤
My pleasure 😊 thanks for watching
Very good info Rod, thank you.
You're very welcome, my friend!
An old trick is to use silly putty to hold stuff still like that socket. It works nicely.
nice tip, thank you!
That's so nice.
lots of potential!
I think Steve would LOVE this to mark his tools! Thanks for showing this option! Love John 3: 16-17! To honor your service: Semper Fi!
Thanks very much, Ellen! Yes! Those verses are the best way to offer the Gospel truth in a nutshell, I think, and the world needs this message spread more than ever! If but one person sees the verse, looks it up, and learns...
hi please if you can help me I don't know what settings I need to make on the Atomstack m4 laser to engrave deeply visible on natural leather
now I bought the laser and I can't use the settings in the book to engrave real leather
please if you have pictures or video of the settings how to proceed
🙏
How does the socket look once you clean the engraving? What settings did you use?
What kind of settings are you using it to get the most dense hatch?
Very nice! What is the largest area that can be engraved by any of these lasers that you've been reviewing lately?
This one is 70mmx70mm, small but suits its purpose. The diode lasers are fairly consistent at a work area of 400mm x 400mm, with some offering expansion kits which will double the length of the work area. Thanks!
I want one
I just updated the link and code, FYI, they're offering 25% off through Dec 9th. Thanks for watching, Tim!
Very interesting - this is the purpose I would use a laser mostly for if I'd own one. I wonder if laser "de-rusting" is also possible with it?
Thank you, Maximillian! It does to a degree, but those de-rusting fiber lasers are 1000W and much more, with a much larger work space. Those de-rusting videos are fun to watch though, lol...
Я сейчас данным гравером весь инструмент у себя подписываю.
rod i have a question that you can demenstrate for me can you show how you can laser engrave on a wood pen? thanks and can you share my channel please thanks. chris
