Like have it fake announce "Turning Left" so you might react and over correct and hit a tree or something. I don't know if it's funnier to have these be significantly cheaper so you become desensitized to the announcements and get caught off guard, or if they should cost the same ammount as their functional counterparts, to encourage mind games.
