I remember this livestream, it was basically car breaks down, chat yells at him what was wrong, Martin ignores us, we were right, drive for 3m, repeat. Some of these breaks were multiple hours long. That was a great stream.

Fun fact. 6000km is longer than the entire land border of Finland. You would have to drive 2.34 laps (and some change) out and back around the entire country of Finland to reach 6000km

I remember saying during the stream that he'd probably drive for as many laps around the dirt track as the winning car around the Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe during the 2016 24 hours of Le Mans. Which would equate to something in the region of 390-something laps. Turns out, I underestimated this community. Would this take place in Le Mans, our Frongus would be driving at least two and a half days lol

The reason the helmet went missing is that he had a crash which opened the car doors, and like the smart individual that Martin is, he didn't close the passenger door and the helmet just rolled out while he was driving.
LOL Like the Dyno, the big fan at the front is to keep the car cool (Cause ya know, it's not moving anywhere like it's supposed to) and he didnt' turn it on which is why he destroyed the engine.

My record was 52 hours. It was not a fun time at all, it was extremely dangerous and I will NEVER repeat such stupidity again in my life. I can't even put into words what sort of mental state I was in at that point but it was any word you can think of that isn't positive. I do not recommend attempting this, and don't even think about trying to operate a vehicle or any death machines if you do, because surprise naps will happen, you will just pass out without warning for indiscriminate periods of time.

Once I drove 1200km in a single sitting without any stops and without speeding, just slowly at 100km/h (average), it was crazy, almost 12 hours, I can't imagine doing 4000km

-I left Houston and went 22 hours straight 2,400km round trip to El Paso.
-4 hours after making it back to Houston I went 4 hours round trip to lake Charles (600km)
-about 2 hours after getting back from that went to Tulsa 16 hours round trip (1700km)
-after a 6 hour power nap I got called up to go deliver Jeff bezos helmet to van Horn Texas 2 days before blue origin did it's first launch. 20 hours round trip and another 2000km.
And for bonus points I went to the nearest gas station in Van Horn on the way back to do gas station things and I get involved with another person who was actively overdosing on heroin in the car next to me and had to perform CPR until medics arrived.
Driving those last 11 hours back home after dealing with that was simultaneously the most silent and mentally loud drive I've ever experienced.

He got a bunch of money but failed to deliver on his promise (which I don't think he can be blamed for considering how much the distance kept ballooning). I think Frogman (as he hinted at in this video) truly felt bad about the cash after realizing the sisyphisian nature of his goal. He probably felt like he inadvertently scammed people out of money and wanted to try and right it.

Mart has another 5864km to go. If he drives for 8 hours a day at the in-game speed limit of 100km/h, he would clear the remaining distance after 7.33 days. A little over a week.
And this is assuming the conditions of:
- Martin doesn't slow down, stop, or go afk at any point in his playthroughs,
- Martin focuses SOLELY on driving, and not other in game activities,
- The Satsuma doesn't break down/crash/need maintenance at any point while driving,
- His subscribers don't add any more kilometers to his remaining distance.
He's got a LOOOONG drive ahead of him.
So like one LOOOONG stream a week maybe?
Bear in mind that he still has to nourish the bog.
Considering how much time was spent on crashes and restoring the car, I’d guess it’d realistically take another 3 weeks before he finishes it distance.

The stream was insane, I checked the stream late at night, went to bed, gone to school and came back to find him still driving that car with even more distance he had to drive.
This series (and consequently, the game) has taught me more about vehicular mechanics than I've ever learned otherwise in life. Good educational content.
I love that he started with something easily do able in a stream or two, and decided to make it torture by making the distance increase. It could have been so easy and yet he chose to let it keep going up until it hit the same distance as is the radius of the earth
