Thank you to your aunt on go ing you vintage magazines. I love what you did with the luxury toilet paper and the Zippo lighter. Now you know, you did awesome with the vintage😉👍
Oh SOOOO envious of those papers, those flowers, ❤️ what treasures, lucky you. 🥰 Hopefully you will show us some more collages you make with them. Just love watching your process, and the fun results. 🙂
You are so fun to watch. I love how you think, try & re-work an idea until you reach the conclusion. Thank you for sharing. That was a mighty big free haul of paper to use. I loved all those big flowers! I hope I see some of those used.
I adore watching your process. Also, loved all the goodies you got from your family member! The Antique Magazine covers were so cool, I'd use those so much in my crafting. I'll have to keep an eye out for them or similar magazines when I'm antique/thrift shopping. 💕
Yayyyy another video!!!! These make me so so so happy ♥ I wish I could express, Rosie, how important your videos have been to me... They are so positive and inspiring, and came right in a moment of despair when I needed somehting like this. Thanks so much!!
I wish I could have those type of vintage ephemera magazines and stuff here in Portugal. They are so hard to find :( It would be cool to make some collage and mailart too. More videos like this one please!
I loved this! I think the Antique patterns are End papers from old books. There is a whole world of people who love end papers from books. They are often illustrations that speak to the theme of the book. I am about 90% sure the Antiques mag republished End papers for their covers. Aren't they just beautiful?
At first I thought the TP roll was a huge marshmallow. LOL. I was thinking you could put a stick through the middle and put a fire underneath. I love your art style Rosie.
Hi Rosie...I am curious why you don't scan in your magazine photos and print them out before you use them? I always feel compelled to do this so I can use the image again in another collage and preserve the original. Any thoughts?
It clicks with the jump needed to bridge the culture of classic life roles into something that is more of a legacy of this era - which seems like has been going since the dawn of time - that the dress is deeply material expression of the value of classic roles for peoples.
I so look forward to each Thursday for your videos. Trying my hand at surreal collages. Having difficulty with x-acto knife cutting and excerpting objects into the background. I find it very difficult to get them tucked in the slots. They bend or won't go in. I get one side in and it slides out while I try to tuck in another edge. Any suggestions?
I agree with Gus, making the slit larger might help. I also sometimes use my knife blade to tuck into the slit and twist it a bit to make the opening larger so the image has an easier time tucking in. Hope that makes sense!
hi!! iIhave recently commandeered a bundle of Nat Geos from the 20s, 30s, and 40s, and i got them with the intent of collaging with them but I feel weirdly guilty about tearing up such an artifact?! NGs from 80s on i feel fine about but when do you draw the line between something to collage with and something thats worth keeping as is?? SO happy to see you have a youtube, ive loved your tiktoks for awhile!!!! :)
Hey! :D I used to collect old books and newspapers and just put it on a bookshelf or something back then. But after a few year I felt like the books and magazines could be "honored" way more if I put it for good use (collage art), instead of letting it get older somewhere in my room and being looked through maybe once in a year. Also think this way: What will bring you more joy? Do you just love the book/magazine as a whole? (for me it's f. e. my nature study book from 1900) Or do you really get inspired by particular images? Then go for it!! Hope that helps a little! :)
@@dalineo.9889 thank you for this!! thats exactly where im at, I have my collection of old mags essentially collecting dust, I think collaging would bring me more joy :))
Yes! I absolutely agree with Daline's reply. Also if its helpful, National Geographic has digital archives of all their issues so nothing will ever be lost forever!
I’m rewatching a bunch of your videos. I love your work so much.
Me too 😊
A well adorned house, including niceties in cleaning places is a huge uplifting part of living.
The movement of that artistic style is like a orchestral movement.
I love how these turned out. My first thought when seeing the beautiful images was that the collection was a junk journalers dream!
So many great images in there!!
I was thinking the same thing!
I appreciate your attention to detail as well s your willingness to expand your horizons and to challenges yourself. 😊👍
Always trying to grow as an artist! You can often surprise yourself with what you can make!

What yummy browned paper. Love getting stash packets! Great collages!
I love what you have done with these. I would have put a toilet in the background of the TP collage. lol
Rosie!!! I simply LOVE your channel!!!!!
Nice work, Rosie!
Please please please may I borrow some of your creativity?
Cute retro magazine!
Since I found your channel, I don't throw away empty cat treat boxes and advertising illustrations that I used to throw away.
Yes! Keep everything!
I LOVE THIS! I'm going to use this as my art journal prompt idea thanks!
Love this!!
Those antique book covers are awesome! Any relationship to archaeology and antiquities class? I know so much of it from Services.
