When you get a 96 year old ace in a 109, for the love of christ, put a couple cockpit cameras in there and mike him up so we can hear what he has to say. What a lost opportunity.

@Da Jakl Racist? Where did you pull that one from? Because i said sorry for forgetting an accent, a simple spelling error common to the internet? Are you that much of a snowflake an apology i shouldn't need to give offends you? Was it because i used another joke calling you a grammar Nazi? Nazi's are a members of a political ideology, not a race if you wanna be sooooo correct (Yes i know "so" is spelled with a single O, the extra O's are for comedic effect, just so we're clear ya dorkward)
But dude, okay i forgot an accent when writing a quick YT comment. Was the first sorry not enough? Want a handwritten letter asking forgiveness for the errors of my ways? An apology for not taking second semester German over a useful thing like a trade in college?

On that note, Britain seems to have rebelled against them AGAIN after finally getting Brexit done. Haha well done Britons.

There training routines were on point, they'd give extra work to those who were late or didn't improve, they would help eachother through rough times (on the ground and in the air) some squadrons felt like family. You are right on two things thou.

Tragische Zeit damals. May we never forget!

Pedro Amézquita I agree, yes it may be a 109 AIRFRAME, but these are Spanish licensed built by Hispano Aviacion meaning it is not a Messerschmitt, powered by a merlin engine, the easiest way to tell is the exhausts from the engines should be on the bottom of the nose as the 109 had an inverted engine, the Daimler Benz DB-605. it’s the same with the CASA built version of the He-111 which also is powered by the Merlin.

Nice to see so many people out to view this flight. Scary how difficult is is to get the man into the seat. Thank god no accidents because you couldn't get him out in time. Yes as mentioned below too bad their wan't a Go-pro to catch his expression when the pilot did a roll.

I can only imagine the memories that are were flooding back into this man’s mind as he was flying once again in the very same type of fighter he used so many years ago.
I can’t help but think there were more than a few moments for him where he may have forgotten what year it was.

“Unless you tolerate evil, there will never be peace,” inherently contradictory statement that basically says unless you can live with actions of another that you find increasing your vulnerability and that go against what you believe, which is usually the result of someone who might desire to rule over a larger dominion and has the resources to collect the lesser‘s to become a greater and subsume you. Remember during elections people use force of the majority through vote.
