@@MyxDyingxFantasy that's what I was thinking the 2D clockwise if she asking which looked better from those two pictures. When she showed the twk piping tips at the start the 1M tip looked better and that's what I use when I make this type of cake design.
It’s because doing it clockwise/counterclockwise doesn’t actual change how it looks (other than being mirrored), it’s more about how much pressure you use and how tight you make the swirl.
Yes 1M clockwise. I don't like that 2D tip doesn't even look like real rosettes. Regular piped roses need a needle holders and it takes a long ass time to make them 😄
i think you should’ve done the same colors on different cakes… but doing the counterclockwise & clockwise. it’s hard to tell because of this bigger color change on the counterclockwise roses. the clockwise roses fall more naturally because it’s ombré. i think that’s messing people up. if you did the same colors, we’d be able to tell the difference more! both are still so beautiful though!!!💐🌹✨ the 1M tip clockwise looks WAY better because you can actually see the middle of the roses opposed to the rest just looking like a circle…
It doesn't. The tips are symmetrical. It's just the way your hand or arm moves, what you're used to, left or right handed,... In short, it depends on you, not the tip. If you had perfect motor skills and could replicate the same movement no matter which way you turn, the roses would be mirror images.
I think the counter clockwise looks better because the flare of the icing flower comes out on the bottom instead of the top, which gives it more dimension since you're looking at them top down
Every time I do rosettes my teacher tells me to use a smaller tip but I love how the bigger tips look with the rosettes and shells so I’m glad to finally hear that someone agrees with me thank you 😊!
I will be one of the few to say counter clockwise. It looks neater because the petals are smaller and more straight. It does look less like a real flower, but I like it
Idk if it’s the petal colors and the beads but the clockwise case is just so beautiful to me. Maybe it’s swaying my opinion of the petals because the petals look prettier now too😆😆
Your 1M tip clockwise looked realistic/ beautiful and I like the gradient light pink to dark pink cake better. Just looks more delicate and pretty in my opinion.
I personally prefer the look of the clockwise roses mainly because the center is more defined but I do also think that the counter clockwise roses have more defined edges and could look more defined covering a whole cake.
They look the same to me- you can just see the colors better on the one with the dark purple gradient colors because they don’t blend together being a similar shade. Both are absolutely beautiful!
I watched this twice, paused it at the end of the second time round, looked reeeally hard... they both look yummy lol. I don't see the difference. But of the first lot you did, my fave were the very first roses you made going clock-wise using that first tip ☺
I have been making cakes for a few decades at least, including a few wedding cakes, and learned cake making not only in college but I took a Wilton cake decorating course, and grew up reading Wilton cake decorating books, and I do not think not once in all of that time have I been told or realized that there is a difference in how it looks mattering on how you swirl those two tips. I really need to review those books again.
They are both amazing, but, clockwise looked better to me, counter clockwise looked pretty with the colors, but, the sporadic swirls are nicer in clockwise xoxo

I like the right cake piping, but also the colors are nicer. I think the right cake is less uniform, like how a rose would be? So maybe that's why I'm partial to it.
The left one looks like spring flowers while the one on the right looks like those old dried flowers. I'd go with the one on the right for some of the older white ladies in my family because that's part of their aesthetic
First of all gorgeous cakes, I love watching your videos. I never knew there was a difference. I’ve always done them clockwise but for a full cake it definitely looks nicer and better counterclockwise. I will definitely be using that technique for now on.
In cake decorating this silvery end are called tips , meaning ends. It usually has a plastic tips on the end you place the silvery tip over the plastic bag and tip. It has a plastic ring that you place over the tip,plastic bag and tip and the ring screws the whole thing together. Novice decorator that decorate cakes on a very very small scale. Cake decorators that do it on a very very large scale prefer to fill many bags with just the metal tip, only, inside the bag and fill it with Irving. They have several tips of each tip that way they can decorate many cakes without changing the tip or color and many colors ❣️
The cakes don’t look much different to me, but the very first flowers you piped look the best imo

I like clockwise. The variation makes the roses look more realistic. Counter clockwise looks more perfect and uniform
