Hello, now that 8 months have passed, could you tell me about the conditions of the plotter and how many 24-inch prints have you made before changing cartridges?
I got the same one for Christmas from my kids what kind of software do you use and do know how get rid of black lines that come when I use the canvas rolls
A few questions if you have a few minutes: how is it after a couple months ? Still happy ? Have you printed many more large prints ? Also a biggie for me: what does it take for ink ? Is is refillable, cartridge based, etc - and roughly how long does a full tank of gas last (all inks full). Also, roughly how much does the ink cost from all ink empty to all ink full ? What does good quality print paper cost too ? Apologies for the newb questions. I have never owned or even seen a plotter up close but flirting with buying this. Just want to have all the facts
Great video, seems to be one of the few on these printers! What settings are you printing the poster with? I have a issue with the ink not drying on a semigloss paper (not HP).
@@Archifx Yeah it's called "gimme all your money coating", it's a shame how these companies get away with purposely formulating inks that only dry properly on their special coated papers, it's almost like breaking some antitrust laws, if they didn't know whom to lobby of course.
$700 for that size? Nice! Can you print on vinyl adhesive with it? Do you know if theres a UV ink cartridge set you can buy for HP stuff or do you have to make your own? 🥴 installation art projects...
Thanks for the review. Comparing it to Canon, the Canon I have required their software in order to use in PS, and their software SUCKS. Does this require suing their software in Adobe? Can this print on cardstock? Thx so much!
Two years later and i am looking at this printer to make my own photo calendars to sell. How long would the ink last? And can you print smaller than 24”?
I have this printer and I can say yes it does, I use it to print on transparency film for screen print and it works amazing, Ive had this printer for 3 years now and it works great
Thanks, one of very few reviews on this plotter. In your view, is the photo quality good enough for outputting basic art work as well as engineering drawings? (on the right paper). Does the ink fade at all do you know? Thanks
It could 100% pass as a high detail photo printer with the right paper installed. It does not fade. I’ve had construction drawings in the sun and they hold up just as good as the print shop.
@@Archifx it'll cut half the image so if it's 17in x 40in it will print 7 inches and cut off at 10 inches long. I read a reddit post someone was having the same issue and they used "hp click"
Hey kinda random but I need some help with my go kart throttle. It doesn’t move when I give it gas but it does have tension on the cable. I’ll send you a pic or a video maybe you could tell me what’s wrong with it. I didn’t install it someone else did
So anyone watching this that owns this printer had any problems with this error "Printer cannot detect or load media", it loaded fine then when I sent it my photo to print it said it had no paper loaded and now gives me this error every time I try to load paper.
Very dull colors, I think you should start by calibrating, finding the right driver and testing a lot. Of course, they are 4 colors, but canon tm200 can do better.

Yeah. I read up on that issue. Something about the way the inks react to the true HP papers make the drying process almost instantaneously happen.

Can this printer print on self adhesive paper. Like peel n stick ?

It only converts to bumblebee the transformer on Tuesday’s and Thursdays.

Definitely a settings issue. Make sure you set everything to roll setup and when you send to print make sure it’s on roll

Did you change the setting to photo paper roll
@@Archifx Yep sure did, it works fine with regular paper. I am thinking the roll I'm using is just to heavy for the machine.
Is it genuine HP paper? From what I can gather on the forums, the paper is definitely critical for this machine
