so i got mine yesterday. i’m 13 and 11 months, i had cancer 3 times and 2 months ago i stopped chemo cuz of cancer growth. i did radiation and on nov. 30th rang the bell for the 5th time. anyways all my friends got theirs at 11 or 12 even my older sisters got theirs at 12. at this point every single one of my friends got their periods and i felt soooo left out. i wear panty liners for heavy discharge and i’m so glad i do. yesterday i was wearing one and i just got home from my moms salon (i do red light therapy and hyperbaric chamber for holistic cancer treatment) i was full and had to pee, i was home alone and walked into the bathroom sat down while on my phone and after i peed i looked at my underwear (like most do and glad i did) i saw a big blood spot. when i tell you my heart stopped i was so scared, i called my mom and she didn’t answer so i texted my best friend on snap messages and messenger saying ‘It’s an emergency) then my mom called me back and asked me ‘what’s up’ i said i had a big blood stain on my pantry liner and she asked if i knew what it was and i said yes (know it was my period after calming down by hearing her voice) and she asked if i had what i needed again i said yes. after i hung up my bff messaged me back saying what i told her what happened she said it’s not that big of a deal (only cuz she thought i had a seizure cuz of my epilepsy) i was a lil upset cuz i was terrified and excited at the same time about starting it. we are good now but yep that my period story. i just still can’t believe i finally got it. my friends were so excited too. also: i was missing school cuz of the post-radiation risks of getting sick especially in december. to all the girls wanting there period really bad, everyone’s body is different some start at 11 others at 16. just remember it’s okay and it’ll happen eventually. enjoy not having it too, it kind sucks. but i love it, knowing it finally for me. 🤍🤍🤍

ngl i think my first period story is pretty bad: i was on holiday in florida with my family, it was the day we went from disney to universal for the second half of our trip and as soon as we got there we were exhausted and boiling, so we all decided to go for a swim. I was wearing a white bikini at the time. It was initially light enough to not leak through the bottoms so I didn’t really notice it. I then got into the shower after our swim and noticed the little bit of blood in them. i thought it was just spotting so i threw them in the shower with me and rinsed them out. I then (dumbest decision i’ve ever made) got out the shower and threw the brand new, white hotel towel around me and went to sit by the mirror and dry my hair. I was sat, free bleeding onto a white towel for a good 20 minutes and it had become heavy by then. So i went back into the bathroom and got dressed when I realised that the white towel was now in fact red. I wasn’t really scared to tell my mum at the fact i’d got my period but i was terrified about the fact i’d ruined the towel. so i walked around our hotel room with it for ages when i finally plucked up the courage to show her. and in my anxiety i somehow passed out whilst showing her which is when my dad and brother walked in and asked what happened. She explained and they all laughed. to this day I still don’t use white towels due to the trauma 😂

I was already suffering from a bought of food poisoning and had a mild fever then my period decided to join the party. Due to our sex ed being pushed back to the latest possible point I had no idea what was happening and my descriptions of severe abdominal pain on top of throwing up, cold sweats and a fever sent me straight to the pediatrician. Had about 18h of going in and out of the hospital doing all kinds of tests and an x-ray because they suspected kidney stones and in the end it was discovered to be my period. There was not a hit of blood for over a day since the symptoms first started so it was a real mystery and I legit thought I was dying. It doesn't help that at I barely ever got sick as a kid so being that sick after years of nothing was terrifying. I need to get tested for endometriosis soon because my family and I have suspected it for the longest time since it's not uncommon for me to be paralyzed from the pain (not actually paralyzed but too painful to move type thing) and even faint from my periods starting without warning. Luckily it hasn't happened in public when I was alone yet but it's frequency has been increasing which is a bit concerning. The problem is that it's so difficult and long to get a diagnosis here for anything.

alright here we go: so i flew to arizona the day before and after we got to the hotel i slept for 16 HOURS and around 5 am i woke up and went to the bathroom and it was dark so i couldn’t tell and then i noticed it looked off so then i turned on a light heavy heavy first period and no one was awake and i didn’t want to wake them so after an hour and a half i texted my mom and then i told her.

I got my period today so heres the story: i was supposed to go buy ✨️pride flags✨️ for the pride parade tomorrow and just before we were about to leave, i used the bathroom, wiped aand.. there it was, just a tiny amount of brown blood, i still remember when i first wiped i just didn't really look at the toilet paper but then i realized and the first thing that came to my head was "and what the f*ck was that again", i wiped again and realized that i got my very first period, i came out of the toilet and went straight to my room and locked the door and messaged my mom (she was at work so there were only me, dad, and little bro in the house) i told her that i had a tiny amount of blood in my toilet paper and she instantly just called me but then my dad started shouting "come on, let's go already" and i just akwardly said "yeah, just.. wait a minute" Then my mom said that i probably got my period and told me to give the phone to my dad so i didn't have to explain it my self, i akwardly handed the phone to him and my mom explained everything and then we akwardly went to buy some pads with him, rest of the day went well, no cramps, just a little bit of pain, and at least now i know that someone can ř@pę me🥲 (sorry for the mispellings, english ain't my first language)

I was playing hockey when I was 13 and after the game, I went to the locker room and some guy told me. i didn't tell my mom for 3 days

alright here we go:
so i flew to arizona the day before and after we got to the hotel i slept for 16 HOURS and around 5 am i woke up and went to the bathroom and it was dark so i couldn’t tell and then i noticed it looked off so then i turned on a light heavy heavy first period and no one was awake and i didn’t want to wake them so after an hour and a half i texted my mom and then i told her.
I knew what brown discharge was and I forgot that it was just. Blood that forgot to leave the uterus I had gotten my first period and did not know it the next day it was red I told my mother I had gotten my first period I got my first period before… I was going the whole day bleeding in my underwear and since it was the first day there wasn’t that much so I thought it was really just discharge and I was getting discharged before that so I thought it was normal😂 I told my friend I got my first period before I told my mom and I basically told her that I had Brown discharge before that and I thought it was just discharge and then I had my period the next day she told me that it is not brown discharge it is. Blood and I was so shocked and I freaking forgot🥲

I got my period today so heres the story:
i was supposed to go buy ✨️pride flags✨️ for the pride parade tomorrow and just before we were about to leave, i used the bathroom, wiped aand.. there it was, just a tiny amount of brown blood, i still remember when i first wiped i just didn't really look at the toilet paper but then i realized and the first thing that came to my head was "and what the f*ck was that again", i wiped again and realized that i got my very first period, i came out of the toilet and went straight to my room and locked the door and messaged my mom (she was at work so there were only me, dad, and little bro in the house) i told her that i had a tiny amount of blood in my toilet paper and she instantly just called me but then my dad started shouting "come on, let's go already" and i just akwardly said "yeah, just.. wait a minute"
Then my mom said that i probably got my period and told me to give the phone to my dad so i didn't have to explain it my self, i akwardly handed the phone to him and my mom explained everything and then we akwardly went to buy some pads with him, rest of the day went well, no cramps, just a little bit of pain, and at least now i know that someone can ř@pę me🥲 (sorry for the mispellings, english ain't my first language)
I got mine yesterday, i had brown too! then earlier today it turned to dark red
Mines not rlly awkward just bad timing I got mine about 10 months ago and I’m 14 now so I was 13 and it was the day before Halloween- I was at my friends house and I was lying in her bed because we were gonna have a sleep over. She left to grab some snacks and I could feel my lower belly aching. I didn’t rlly care to look anywhere but the ceiling because I felt like I was dying and then I looked down down by my thighs and there was a huge blood puddle and I stained her bed so yeah lovely. She was very nice about it though and said “at least it isn’t throw up.”
my first period was chill ngl. i was showering, got out, used my towel to dry down there, thought i shit myself in the shower somehow, (i was so dumb) got back in, got out, put my clothes i, went to my room, went to the bathroom later and BAM. brown in my underwear. i thought i had like diarrehea or some shit. but the i realized. thoughti was joking cus my mom didn t get her till 16 i was 12. so i went to bed. woke up with stained underwear and pants.
My story:
So exactly 1 week (7days) before my 12th bday, i was in math class and i had 1 more lesson after that. When i was about to leave the math class, i felt something in my underwear abd i realy thought that i just peed my pants. In my last class i asked the teacher to go but he didnt let me. When class ended I went home and got to the toilet. I saw brownish/redish stuff in it and i thought it was my period but i wasnt sure. I went to my room and checked on it every few mins. I was confused tho bc i thought it would be like bright red so i fid nothing with it untill a day later when it turned more red. I literely jumped and went like ''yessss finnalllyy!!!" And called all my friends to tell them. Luckily, my sis who was a lot older (and had moved out) had kindly provided me with a pack of pads and tampons a few months before that. I put a pad on and went to school. In the middle of class I saw it dripping down my leg so as soon as class ended, i ran to the bathroom like im running for my life. I changed it and later went home. My sis was coming over for dinner so i found this as a great oppertunity to tell her. I made her go outside wif me and told her. She went ahead to buy me some more pads and got my permission to tell my mom. End of story
My period story (btw i was 12 when I got it)
It was 15 minutes before recess in 5th grade and Mind you two days before that I was getting brown discharge so I new it was soon anyway I went to the bathroom and my friend who already had it was waiting for me outside the stall and I seen my underwear and there was brown discharge everyone and stuff on my underwear so I knew and then I asked my friend for a pad and when I got home I told my mom and she gave me pads and bought me some I already knew everything about periods and stuff so she didn’t need to tell me then my mom told me to tell her if I got any cramps that she be there for me she is so kind .
I got mine like 7 months ago and I was at a dance and I went to the bathroom and there were clumps in the toilet and I thought nothing of it then I had musical rehearsal and I went to the bathroom with a friend and I wiped and there was clumps of brown stuff on the toilet paper and I went back to rehearsal and told my best friend and she said are you sure you didn’t poop your pants so I went to softball practice and I was playing catch with my dad and my other best friend was warming up pitching so we both finished and I said to her I think I got my period and she didn’t move for like 3 seconds and she dragged me to the bathroom and made me show her ❤
Basically that’s what happened and it was light for my first 3 periods and now it’s super heavy 😭😭
Girl same but it took me Two days so I was just minding my own business when all of a sudden I felt really uncomfortable so I went to the bathroom and it was brown I was like what the heck so I just changed what do you know it again so I changed it again and it took me two days To figure it out😂
I got it when I was 11 I was shocked! 😂

This exact thing happened to me however I was away from home on this Cadet camp and i didnt know, i walked 15km all day and nobody told me until i went to the toilet at the end of the day.
I dident tell my parents for 4 monthes
( my story is not bad) I was ten in 5th grade and I got home after school and I used the bathroom and I had brown stuff on my underwear and I was like did I poop myself luckily I remembered that periods when they start are brown so I just ran down stairs and told my mom "I think I just got my period" and she like yep you did and my mom was dancing she was so excited lol I was embarrassed and I yelled "I dont want to be a woman"

I got mine last year exactly the middle of September and I was at my grandma's house and my cousins were there and I slept as a sleepover until when I woke up I went to the bathroom and saw brown spots I also thought I had diarrhea but no one told me it could be brown until we went home to visit my dad and the kitten's with my cousins then after a LOONG time we got back to my grandma's house and when I got to the bathroom I saw more spots so I was worried if something happened to me so while I'm shaking I called my mom like*MoOm mAMa😅*she said what? And I said can you come while Im in the bathroom then she said u come I said nooo I can't im in the bathroom while my cousins were looking at me calling her then she came and I took it off and showed her then said wats that😟 then she said*OHHHH you got ur first piryoood WOOO*while I'm having a panic attack and crying non stop I said *Y DOES IT LOOK LIKE POOOO😭😭U NEVER TOLD ME IT COULD BE BROWN?!! *soo yep she got me a new pair of uk wut..
So I was 11 and so in school the day I started we got the like puberty/period talk and stuff like that yk and so like we took a class bathroom break and I was like ummmm I think I started my period so I went down to the nurse it was so awkward because I was like uh can I have a pad please and then I went home early😀😀
