We are excited on this eighth day of February, to have had more than 1000 views of this channel’s videos. Even more excited are we that 97 people have taken the time to subscribe to the African Lure Craftsman... Just THREE more before we hit one of our milestones... One Hundred! Greg had promised that if the channel made it to 100 subscribers, he would shed his modern-day attire, dust off his Zulu leopard skin skirt, don his feathered headdress and perform a war dance for us! Regardless of whether he dances or not, we have some exciting lure builds planned for the coming weeks and months and are frantically planning some fishing trips to “test out” the creations. At the very least, the channel seems like a really good excuse to go fishing... So, thank you all for your interest and support, and kind comments. It is humbling to share ideas and the detailed work of lure crafting through this platform, and know that those following us enjoy and appreciate the effort.
Loved your video and as a “ Rhodesian “ living in Greece I started to make my own lures about a month ago so I was thrilled to see someone from home sharing lure making and your videos helped me alot hope to see more videos from you all the best.
Hi John. Apologies for the late reply my friend. I miss a message now and then. Glad you've touched base. There will be more coming up in near future. Good luck with your lure builds!
Stay tuned Ty as we have some great content planned for people like you. Greg has home built much of his specialised equipment - such as his curing/drying cupboard - and we will be producing detailed videos on how he has gone about this, too.
How's going. Could you point me in the right direction as to were I can buy some heat transfer foils. Awsome channel and lots of inspiration to make my own lures.
Sorry for late reply! Might be achievable with epoxy using matte filler but would have to experiment with ratios. I have achieved a good satin finish with 2k clear simply by mixing matte clear and high gloss clear. Again you have to play around with ratios.
