I thought 🇮🇹 would be rated higher. It's refreshing that Italy is giving us such a talented singer like Angelina Mango, especially after 3 years of male ballads(excluding Maneskin)

About Angelina Mango...Italy aims high with five dancers and a great signature: in fact, Mecnun Giasar, a world-famous choreographer also known by the pseudonym Majnoon, will take care of the staging of Angelina Mango on the Eurovision 2024 stage in Malmö.
Mercun Giasar is an internationally active dancer, musician and choreographer. Of Greek and Turkish origins, he has worked for several internationally renowned artists, including the K-Pop group BTS, Madonna, Rosalia, but also for Loreen, winner of Eurovision in 2012 and 2023.
At Eurovision 2024, Giasar will also take care of the performance of Marina Satti, the representative of Greece.
Accompanying Angelina Mango on the stage of the Malmö Arena, there will be five dancers: Flaminia Genoese, Kelly De Nigro, Valentina Vernia, Arianna Forte and Martina Toderi.
But dancers on stage can be cheesy and Madonna and Eurovision is not a good combination we shall see

I think it is a very fair top hrre, based on the emotions, per eived quality and ambitions of the songs.
Indeed Zorra has really something unique, catchy, interesting and even captivating to it while being, on surface, a "weaker" song tham the others. Zorra's composition, instrumentation, lyrics, attitude, interpretation... Everything is top quality in fact but in a subdued way. I love it.

Italy is head and shoulders above the rest, it’s the only one that is on point in every way. Sweden and the UK are basic radio friendly songs, and Germany and France are the most stereotypical, generic songs they could send. If it wasn’t for the overly sexual live performance, Spain would be right up there alongside Italy, they should go more so in the direction of the music video for Eurovision; but I don’t think they will.
Spain Is so tired of what is supposed to be correct in that hipocrite contest that this year we're ZORRA above all!

As regards big 5 this year watching live performances and as regards songs overall is basically Angelina maybe France and "The others".

I feel bad. I have to eat my words for every time I stated Deban was unsupportive of Spain.
This thing of people not accepting the others taste, until finally others taste is what they want to hear… As long as there are people who despise certain opinions for pure pride reasons, content producers will act accordingly, sooner or later. It costs them nothing, they are not the ones who actually decide the ESC winner.
And after the show, again: "we shouldn't vote you because you didn't like our song (regardless the songs!)".
The never ending story
Clearly, the usual game has started: first, they say that the Italian singer is astonishing, that he's the best; then, they adjust the aim, because the audience needs to get used to the fact that he won't win, because there are other deals going on. All of this is quite pathetic. Find your personality again.
Regarding france, As a sound Technician, the microphone doesn't have to be close to him. We can adjust the gain to allow more power for the microphone. So when he moves away, it still picks up on the microphone

There is an abyss between angelina and all the others esc 24 singers. It s a pity that in esc finals there is no orchestra. In this way all would see uk spain sweden switzerland are totally enable to sing live....germany is a karaoke singer....slimane is good but as carisma and presence on stage Angelina is of another planet. For italy is better to be prepared to another huge robbery
Italy's song is musically exquisite. Having a big show around Angelina might cheapen it - at least that's what I got from Deban asking for "more people." My only concern for La Noia is that it doesn't play up to the Italian Stallion crooner stereotype that serves them so well - and when Italy goes too off-brand, especially and unfortunately with women, their score tanks. I sincerely hope Angelina can be up there with Soldi and Zitti e Buoni as their first high scoring, non-typical Italian, female entry. (since 2011)
I appreciate what you guys are saying about Spain but it's just not my vibe. How we got from Chanel to Nebulossa in two years is shocking. Sometimes a low score has a disciplinary effect, and Spain need discipline. Spain and Germany are on different stray paths, but my solution is the same. They both need to take lessons from Italy and France. Lean into stereotypes and national branding, and the scoreboard will reward you. Look at Rasmussen, Barbara Pravi, Koza Mostra, Blind Channel, Donatan & Cleo, Hadise, and mark my words - Joost Klein. The list goes on. Europe wants the romance, guitars, heat and flamenca from Spain, and the Bavarian oompah, comical anger and Kraftwerk techno from Germany. Don't cringe, because not all countries have global stereotypes they can draw on. The Baltics don't. Czechia doesn't. Slovenia doesn't. Albania doesn't. Malta doesn't. Stereotypes are a privilege, use them.
Sweden are barely worth mentioning, they seem to have Eurovision down to a science, but none of their entrants besides Loreen and The Mamas ever make me feel anything.
As for the UK? We're... we're focusing on ourselves right now. Brand Eurovision is still under intensive repair here. In a few years, we'll bring out the palace guards, wizards and punk bands, ok?
I Love Slomo performance but that song is like paella with chorizo, their composers are from USA. Eaea was much More authentic, although was so avant garde and weird. Zorra is a hit now in Spain, and Spanish prefer send songs we hear here, like italians does.

Hello guys - I think you're a bit harsh on germany. I actually like the song and its been doing quite well in german charts since the national election. To be honest - MOST of the songs are not that unique at Eurovision in general , it seems you heard almost everything a million times before (just to point out this year: Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Malta - sounds like the beat you hear everywhere nowadays) - I bet "Always on the run" will still be among the best 10 selling song from esc 2024 - no matter which position Isaak will end up😄 Besides that I agree with you, Michael' was great in 2018 ❤ Anyway, youre still my favourite ESC-Channel - hugs & kisses for you 😘😘

WHAT?!? Willam was never a fan of Years and Years ?!?! OMG ... I'm the biggest fan of Years and Years and William ! And almost always I agree with William's opionion about songs ! France head delegation Alexandra Redde Amiel transformed the image of France at Eurovision Song Contest. Dear Deban, speaking about how unfair are the eurovision rules about the big five, then why is fair to have UK at the eurovision even if you don't want to be part of the european union ? And for god sake let people love what they love.
Thats a bad comparison. The EU and Eurovision are completely separate entities. Many non EU countries compete in Eurovision.
@rallytip we agree with you 100%.The European Union is a smaller group of country then the Eurovision participants but at least none of the eurovision countries have distinctively and very clearly shown such as noneuropean feeling sense of belongin (Brexit), and it looks to us as aeuropens a little bit of cherry picking. But we are not here underlining only this, but the fact that our dear friend Deban, won't let other people's country love what they love so much.
