    Aggressive inline skating (referred to by participants as rollerblading, blading, skating, street skating, rolling, roller freestyle or freestyle rolling) is a sub discipline of inline skating in the action sports canon. Aggressive inline skates are specially modified to accommodate grinds and jumps. Aggressive skating can take place on found street obstacles or at skate parks.
    In 1980, a group of ice hockey players in Minnesota were looking for a way to practice during the summer.[1] Scott and Brennan Olson formed the company Rollerblade, Inc., to sell skates with four polyurethane wheels arranged in a straight line on the bottom of a padded boot.[1] In 1988, Rollerblade introduced the first aggressive inline skate, the Rollerblade Lightning TRS. Aggressive inline skating developed as an organized sport in the early 1990s.[2] In 1994 the National Inline Skate Series, better known as NISS was launched as the first aggressive skating competition series. Promoters Rick Stark and Mark Billik sold Taco Bell on sponsoring the series for $150,000 and a six stop series was born. NISS, went strong for 5 years holding contests in Los Angeles, New York, Rome and Brazil. NISS was the first series to put aggressive inline on television with an ESPN deal for the 1994 series and later moving the competition series to PRIME TICKET-Fox Sports. The Aggressive Skaters Association (ASA) was formed by a number of aggressive inline skaters in 1995 as a forum to develop rules governing competitions and equipment.[2] The sport was included in the first ESPN X-Games in 1995 and included vertical ramp and street event competitions.[3] It reached its height in popularity in the late 90s, with mainstream movies like Disney's Brink! and other films. The brand "Senate", run by Arlo Eisenberg and several other prominent skaters, enjoyed mainstream popularity during the 1990s.
    Founded by company owners/skating legends Brian Shima, Jon Julio, and Kato Mateu and supported by all major skate companies, the World Rolling Series (WRS) links together the best skaters, event organizers, retailers and skate parks and aims to "create a tighter knit community, increase overall awareness and set a higher standard for aggressive rollerblading." The WRS circuit started in 2009 with 10 established professional contests in France, Netherlands, England, Spain, Argentina, Australia and the United States. In 2012, WRS included 100+ amateurs and professional events in over 20 countries.[4]

    Sounds like their manufacturer needs to jig/clamp them after pulling them out of the mold, when the material is still doing its last bit of shrinking/hardening. The middle of the frame having more material means more shrink than the ends, which leads to the bow/curve. A pretty common problem with molded parts and something that various frames have had to different degrees over the years. The Kizer Fluid 3's were like a damn banana 😄. Also something that the brand should have caught before shipping frames out.
    I agree that the axles are silly, as they're not cool-looking enough to justify the expense/complexity.

      He’s excellent at transitions and switches but in my opinion the deciding factor would be the lack of hammers and long hand rail tricks and videos to promote himself. Over all though I don’t know if he’s trying to be a pro rider or if he wants to continue to make UA-cam video reviews for us in the blading community.
      Much love and appreciation brother ! Keep up the reviews and news!

    Dang. I like riding 250mm, just not a fan of long frames. But that means the bow/rocker is maybe even more problematic for me… Balance 2 w mods for now (a middle of the road frame, maybe too low wheel bite angle wise if you have a *really* wide soul or want to ride 58+ with a wider wheel profile)… Entente, adapt, and Thursday are the ones I’m most curious about (2 of those for material reasons, and 2 of them (overlap, I know) for shape reasons (wider split if I want to really wear my boot groove in and try very close to boot grinding like old fattys - just a curious out whether it’s that noticeable).

      Honestly they seem quite similar (in my fairly limited experience). Me personally I’d be on fluid 5’s if I skated flat tbh. Thanks for the support :D

    Try them with some slightly smaller wheels. I've got some 58mm 50/50s in mine and its impossible to get wheel bite

    • @busyboxst7
      @busyboxst7 Рік тому +1

      Are those also **bullet profile** ?? Makes a bigger difference than the 2mm size I think. I’m on bullet 59mm on Balance 2 and only getting a little bite on factions but it should be noted intentionally wore off the souls a little on the edge because I want to be more booted on royales and less prone to wheel bite…. that said, I’ll hit the balance 2 and put in my own H-blocks soon (and also narrow the souls more). My own blocks literally never ever get wheel bite - only groove them on the sides of the block, little if any on the bottom, way more stable and slick, except fast slides can be weird.

    • @joshdickinson2371
      @joshdickinson2371 Рік тому +2

      @@busyboxst7 They are "face profile" but yes, narrower than round. I used them for a session with the GC 57mm wheels and also didn't get any wheel-bite. Their profile is closer to that of Dead Wheels, but never waste your money on GC ones, they are trash. Cores weren't centered on about half the wheels and then the cores stretched like crazy which is insane because i weigh like 120.

    Thanks for this review! While rolling on a flat surface, did you notice if any of the wheels did not touch the ground? I have both color frames.. I have been using the purple ones for a while with 58mm wheels and noticed that there is always one wheel not touching the ground on a flat surface, whether it's the front wheel or the back wheel on each skate, which creates a slight "banana" rocking effect.
    So I later bought another pair, the black version, and I tested them out on a flat surface with 60mm wheels. The weird thing is, the center wheels are the only ones that touch the ground. The front and back wheels hover off the ground about 1mm. Just wondering if you experienced the same issue or maybe I just need to skate these to break them in. Btw, I'm also skating these with Factions.

    • @iRollerboot
      @iRollerboot  Рік тому +2

      It definitely felt like there was a rocker to them initially. After skating in the rough parking lot it seemed less pronounced. I’ll be skating then again here soon.

    I have a pair of these and I think you hit the main points. Mine were also bowed. I ended up putting wheels 1mm bigger on the outsides and that seems to counteract the wiggle feeling. Still doesn't feel train tracky or anything. I think my favorite flat riding frame remains the Oysi's all said and done though.

    • @rickydangler
      @rickydangler Рік тому +2

      If u look at the frame before putting em on u can see the bend in em. I have two pair. Tnec sent me a replacement because of the issue and the second frame too was bowed. He also told me he knew why and that they were taken out of the molds too early

    • @LifetimeShred
      @LifetimeShred Рік тому +2

      @@rickydangler yeah I chatted with them as well. Decided I'd just play around with what I had since replacements might have the same problem this go around. Did yours ever un-bow from use?

    • @rickydangler
      @rickydangler Рік тому +2

      No mine still feel bowed and I skate em everyday. They gave me a replacement one and same issue but it does feel better than the first. They even offered me a third pair from the second batch in black but I already have two idw take anymore from them. I like em I jus wanted to share my info with ben so ppl kno why their frames feel weird if they do end up with a messed up one. I wasnt gonna even say anything until 3-4 ppl hmu online with the same issues asking me if they was supposed to come rockered. New company so I wanted to inform them of this issue so they could continue on and make it in the industry. I still support and dont wanna throw any dirt on the company. The owner has been honest and a nice guy sending me more stuff and hooked me up with bearing which I will say are pretty good.

    • @s14tat
      @s14tat Рік тому +2

      Funny he mentioned that. I thought the were supposed to be banana rockered when I got mine. The thing I hate most about the frame was how freaking hard it was to put the middle wheels in.

    • @LifetimeShred
      @LifetimeShred Рік тому +2

      @Ricky Dangler yeah I agree, the owner seems like a good guy. I think for me as mostly an anti rocker guy Im wanting to skate flat but haven’t found the right setup yet. I liked that you can use the same size wheel for all 4 with these but I still think I like the Oysi more. Never tried Fluid v’s but thats the other I am curious about
