if he's trying to spin it in his mind and is constantly rewording things to make himself feel better, he clearly has some form of remorse. Feels like he listened to that one friends advice of "focus on yourself because in the long run that's all that matters" and decided to get a bag unethically.
I think Ice is one of those people that thinks "I'm a horrible person but if I admit I'm a horrible person that makes me less horrible since I'm being honest". No it doesn't, it makes you worse. Admitting you robbed people doesn't somehow make you less of a crook. if anything it means your decision was premeditated and not done in the heat of passion.
If we’re talking absolute morality then I mostly agree with you. I get where Lightingfarron is coming from though. Ice’s “honesty” is more than just jarringly blunt. When I listen I hear no guilt, no shame, no remorse. Just a completely overwhelming lack of empathy overall. These are common traits of people with antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). streamers are often entitled like that. all they do is take and receive they become spoiled, expect it, and demand it. for example when streamers do charity streams they get paid for it and the money they are "donating" comes from the viewers, plus the organization that sponsors the "charity" often take a large percentage of the donations for themselves as well. some may say they will match a certain amount donated but they are still profiting from charity.

@@crispy_retrodude9463 pretty much, and ice is already at a point where his reputation wasn't good AND he's far from his peak of fame / fortune. I don't like giving credit... But assuming he didn't miss anything (like a loophole that gets him into legal trouble, as it could easily be a felony), he's pretty smart to have cooked this up and gotten away with it.
This is actually shocking, I used to watch Ice quite a lot when he was on twitch, and never followed up with his content. I didn't think someone who was so famous for streaming could immediately turn criminal of scamming people and not care.
All I've seen from him is him kicking a lady off an RV alone in a state she doesn't live, and trying to commit insurance fraud when his friend crashed the RV, live on stream. Not the brightest guy, and definitely some major red flags. Not sure why anyone would get involved with him, financially or otherwise.
This guy got famous off annoyingly closing doors on people in Runescape, and then transitioned over to IRL live streaming while annoyingly bothering strangers for content. Yet people thought it was a good idea to hand him their $ as if he gave a rats ass about them lol. His whole life has been about him shitting on others for content. C'mon now
its literally the streamer viewer parasocial relationship. many viewers can see no wrong when they are fans of someone. streamers can literally scam viewers and viewers will see no wrong because in their eyes they aren't being milked they are just supporting them.
Too many people live with this "Idc aslong as its funny" attitude. These asshole streamers then go fuck with people, get called out and then play the victim. These same people are the reason Nicado exist.
Ice and Dr. Jon of the Heart Attack Grill are like the most honest people I have heard of. They will fully admit to directly harming people and admit that it makes them money from harming these people.
Dr Jon is providing a service where all parties know the risks and are willing to accept the risk. He's not doing anything wrong. Only losers want to whine about that.
Ice Poseidon built his fame by being a clutz. A walking disaster. His fans loved his unpredictability- you never knew what bad decision he would make next. It was like watching Jackass except the main character has no idea what they're doing is dumb or dangerous. Knowing that, I don't sympathize with the people who bought into his con. I can't think of a worse streamer to trust your money with. Do his fans even care that they got scammed? They had to have known this was a possibility right?
nah that actually is the case. the majority of people investing into crypto like this don't know a damn thing about it, or who's running it. they just see buzzwords, remember how they missed out in 2014 and think "now's my chance!!!". people who actually understand it do their research and know who is behind the project, and what the project is for, and they don't invest in shitcoins like this for this exact reason. anyone that DID know better, wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole. and that's honestly the worst part of it IMO. the people that got scammed, are just lower to middle class citizens praying this is their chance to get on the bandwagon. but instead of making a few bucks, or striking it big like people did in 2014, they got scammed by a PoS like Paul.
I watched Ice Poseidon since his early Runescape streams. He was a legend in Runescape and he pretty much invented IRL content on Twitch. Sad to see how far he has fallen.
he wasn't a legend. he was a staker streamer that stole thousands from his viewers and RWTed. it's debatable if he even started the trend of vlogging either, people have been doing that on forums for years before he showed up. the only thing he did was live stream it, which most vlog communities know is the dumbest thing you could ever do for reasons like the airport incident.
