My Cholestrol is 380 since 2009 1st time blood tested, 1979 born, ....Indian by birth living in Australia sinnce 2003, engineer by profession, lifetime gym goer, national level hockey playe in my young days, weight 92kg, gym 6 days per week, leg press 220 kg , bench 110 kg daily , never took any statin although doctors in Australia have been telling that I shd take statin....I have my blood work done every year and I can tell you that higher the cholestrol highre the testestorone and you will live longer life.....love it dont hate it...eat red meat not vegan crap...being vegan will killyou....skip wheat and eat little rice, low carb high protein(LAMB/GOAT/BEEF MEAT) diet and eat as much red meat as possible...just look at Australia population 26 million and how many gold medals they win?...staple food red meat.....India population 1.4 billion staple food veg/GRAIN/WHEAT/RICE look at how manyt medals in Olympic we win ? I eat 1 full meal @ 3 pm and a light meal at 7 pm...1 coffee

High levels of HDL is good but it should be within its normal ranges too. Coz fat of any type will result in lipogenesis Lipolysis and beta oxidation or fat burning. So balanced diet is what matters and following sunrise to sunset method of eating is so much important.
Our Liver produces Approximately about 2000mg of cholestrol everyday for our body's vital functioning. So moderate consumption of fat and especially opting MUFA and PUFA is much better combined with physical activity.
Any doctor should not be asked about nutrition, weight loss, weight gain. No matter how healthy the ghee is, it is calories dense. Having it in excess than bodys maintenance calories, will only lead to weight gain.
I am high in LDL LOW in HDL l did not see a test to see if its A Or B ..no tests in New Zealand. I asked my Dr if we could test LDL he said NZ has no.such system to find out. Is this a medical system? So.i.did a test Arteries Calcification test..to placatate my dr.. Zero score Thus i refused Statins.. Mental Medical system the eorld over.

Statin does not work on Trigylcerides.
