- This circuit is a 3.7v Lithium Battery Charge Level Indicator built on a matrix board. A battery level indicator is a device that provides “information about a battery” When the voltage exceeds 3.7v the green LED lights up while if it drops below 3.6v the red LED light up... so when the Lithium-Ion battery is fully charged, the circuit will glow green light and when the Lithium-Ion battery is fully discharged, the circuit will glow red light.
The main component of this circuit is the BC547 transistor, which takes care of flow in its collector only the current necessary to power the LEDs in order to minimize the load on the batteries and obtain a more precise reading. This circuit requires only some low-cost components like transistor, diode, resistors, and LEDs.
I want to clarify that a 3.7 volt lithium battery (nominal value) can be considered charged if, without load, it has a voltage higher than 4 volts, and discharged if it is lower than 3.7 volts.
Components:
1x BC547 NPN Transistor
1x Matrix Board
2x 1KΩ Resistor
1x 220Ω Resistor
2x LED 5mm
1x DC Connector
► PROS and CONS of this circuit:
🟢 PROS: Simple, Functional, Economical, Few components
🔴 CONS: Not for professional use

Grazioso, ideale per imparare come funzionano le polarizzazioni e le protezioni sui LED.
Vero, in più costruendo una fila di questi circuiti, e con il connettore adatto, si potrebbero anche monitorare le singole celle dei pacchi batteria
Nice circuit
Thank you!
Semplice e geniale ottimo!!!
Grazie mille =)
Exelente amigo bien megusta todos con LED
Gracias :)
Nice work
Thanks!
I don't get it why the green turns off and red on when voltage drops. Please explain. Thanks
Thanks for the project. Why did you use 220 and 1K resistors?
Thanks, to configure the circuit on 3.7volt batteries
🎓Exellent👌main frend🍻my grettings from serbia👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you =)
Excellent project but I request you to pls make a signal jammer circuit with less components plz 👍👍🔥
Hi, about Jammers in the past I made an infrared Jammer, designed for little jokes between friends, since it only works within a few meters ( Here video about IR Jammer: ua-cam.com/video/p6t4_FGatqk/v-deo.html ).. Then I made an "autopsy" video of a cheap Jammer ( Video here: ua-cam.com/video/hkz5iOlR9y0/v-deo.html ).. Unfortunately, I cannot exceed these limits as jammers are illegal in many states, and I would not like to receive complaints from UA-cam.
@@Stefano91ste OK.As I am talking about simple jammer for just kidding my friends 😂😂
Can I use 3V battery and transistor C1815?
Hi, no because the C1518 is not equivalent with the BC547, some equivalents of the BC547 are: BC548, BC549, BC636, BC639, 2N2222 TO-92, 2N2222 TO-18, 2N2369, 2N3055 and 2N3904. It cannot even be used with 3v batteries because the circuit is sized for 3.7 volt batteries (the 3 volt would always be discharged)
I think you mean 2,6 volts instead of 3,6 as lower thresshold.
Hi, with 2.6 volt the battery is dead😅😅😅
Добавь в схему гистерезис.
And change the connections + = - and - = +
Why? inverting + and - it does not work
😉
