Like my Twitter! :)
One of the best games I have ever played, the story was absolutly insane and after the first 10 minutes the game had me :)
Anways, the ending wasn't perfect to me, I wanted it to be a bit more powerfull, that's why I made a remake. Gonna upload it laters ;D - Ігри
"It's not a lake, it's an ocean" makes so much more sense now that we have Control
Yes my brother love how it all clicked
Explain pls
@@danshee5002 In Control, it is established that the supernatural/otherworldly elements seen in Alan Wake actually have a near-infinite span and that AWEs such as the incident in this game actually happen all the time. Alan's comment, "it's not a lake, it's an ocean" refers to his realization that the lake is merely an entry point to a possibly infinite span of alternate dimensions
Plz explain what happened to Alan at the end
@@asifalrahman2340 he is lost in the darkness which is connected by the multiverse of control and oceanview motel
"It's not a lake. It's an ocean..." *goosebumps*
:0
It's not a lake! It's Sam Lake!
@@trakzerak735 good one lol
“It’s not a loop. It’s a spiral..”
I love this ending because it's true love. He chooses his wife over himself and sacrifices himself to free her knowing full well he will likely never escape.
Have you played Control yet?
Still sad though
He did escape in Alan wake 2
@@Conquerer-.- dude come on piss off with spoilers
@@AverageSynth mb ;-;
It breaks my heart to know that Alan will never get out of the Darkness.
It's such a shame his story had to end this way.
Good news: the live-action tv series of Alan Wake is going to happen after the ambiguous endings of chapter 8 (the writter) and American Nightmare (all happens inside Alan mind in the realm of darkness).
"Bad" news: Is unknow if Remedy is going to do Alan Wake 2 (they want to do it), also if they make Alan Wake 2, you gonna need to watch the entire live action series because is going to be canon to the Wake verse.
@@nacunacato There is a Alan Wake 2
@@nacunacato The prequel film bright falls was released at 2012
@@YouGottaShootEmInTheHead I googled a bit and it seemt there there will be a second series. While Brightfalls is the canon sequel, the new series will be about the events of the game and Remedy's sequel ideas.
So the new series will be a sequel for now. However, Remedy hopes that, if the series will be a success, it'll open the gate for new Alan Wake games
I have a strong suspicion that Wake will turn up in the 2nd DLC for Control, considering their shared universe. And all the unsubtle foreshadowing. Wake is a PC and has bound and used various paranatural objects and the FBC are waiting for the lake to become an ocean again.
That final line is so Lovecraftian. I love it
damn man I just finished the game for the first time and it was amazing. I'm speechless
The occurrence at Bright Falls is just another AWE.
@Mdisk64 Not only that, but they also set up in the Control DLC that there is another faction of humans that steal/create altered items and sell them, they have a great mafia/organized crime game they can make!
The ending is kinda sad when you think about it aside from Alice being rescued. We see people celebrating Deerfest and having fun and overall being happy. While Alan is stuck in the Dark Place with no where to go, but writing his escape out which never happens until a decade later.
Yeah, very true. 3:33 and onwards is gloomy and very depressing honestly for Alan, knowing his fate and what he's been going through for the past 13 years. There's happiness and a bright tone in that Alice is saved and escapes, people are saved from the Dark Presence's wrath, Bright Falls celebrates Deerfest, it's as if not much changed or happened, just a normal day, but for Alan...it's damn sad knowing he's down in the lake, that he became trapped beneath the lake within the Dark Place, alone, only accompanied by shadows and dark presences beneath, attempting to escape over and over again only ending in failure each time. A very sad ending indeed for Alan. But, Alan Wake 2 reveals a hopeful tone for him, that he's very, very close to his final escape and freedom from the Dark Place.
Just finished it 2 days ago, amazing.
I am gonna do a remake of the ending though, will upload it later maybe :)
Just finished the remastered version on PS5. Just... 10/10
Man this one of the best games ever like you watch a movie totally masterpiece
If you’re a fan of this game, check out the show ‘Twin Peaks’
It looks a lot better in the PC version then on Xbox 360 graphic wise
pc master race!
It's not a loop, it's a spiral.
Thank your Remedy for giving another Cliffhanger ending
it's not too much a cliffhanger after new game plus
Alice telling Alan to wake up at the end like she did saga in 2 just makes me even more excited for what’s coming next in this story
What if Alan Wake isn’t some AWE in the Control universe? What if Alan Wake had to write the Federal Bureau of Control and Jessie into existence to weaken the Darkness?
In Alan Wake, the Darkness was some huge unstoppable force that could only be slowed down. But by writing, and thus creating, the Federal Bureau of Control, he managed to weaken into just some Altered World Event that the FBC could contain.
The more I read about control and how it tries to tie itself into this game, the less sense it makes
@@Skerp129youll get more messed up to know that Quantum Break is also tied into this universe.
@@305backupI'm pretty sure it's not
@@Defiringit is, but it's not relevant to the story due to legal reasons. Alan is shown to exist in quantum break
@@AverageSynth Yeah, Mr Door is sort of from quantum break, I guess
First time playing this game, finished without the HUD. Best experience :)
just finished it a few days ago as well. amazing game indeed.
i hope you haven't forgotten about the additional chapters (The Signal, The Writer) though, because once you finish the main game you will need to start these manually from the menu.
Barely finished this game lol what a great experience it was.
This is so hard bruh..
Now that I'm an adult
Forget to finish this game
He will be back soon! It's not a lake, it's an ocean.
Happy that you were right
he will
i luv dis game gave me goosebumps alot.....
The Presence is a slave. The very rules that give it power also imprisons it.
Just finished Alan Wake...
We need a remake of this game
You got your wish
And you got Alan Wake 2, released yesterday.
And IGN says that this is a weak ending.
One IGN writer says*
One of them so called critics said there was too much water in a pokemon game 🤣🤣 they are not to be considered as serious critics at all lol
Pure quality from Finland.
"Anything has a price"
nur sone frage nebenbei kennst du bioshock 2?
wenn ja wie findest du es?
mfg
So he end up in the darkness....forever with no way out
I played it 10 years ago and I dont remember a bit from it.
Wait was that random ass red light supposed to be the Hiss? Before you think that is a stretch you should probably take a good look around at the decor through the game. The biggest one that comes to mind is that his book has the same swirl that his door has in Control.
finnished this on my xbox :D geart game i love all of it
It's not a lake. It's an ocean.
It's not a loop. It's a spiral.
We got our sequel folks.
When released?

Question: who is behind Rose in the window at the end, at 5:27 ? I just played again after playing Alan Wake II (really should have reversed that) and that end scene w/ the face in the window doesn't look like any character I remember. Is it supposed to be Scratch? Doesn't look like Alan, even though we have the typewriter going. What do you think?
It's nightingale
gj for finishing it
@s0th1337 watch the remake I made :D
@Inffistyle Best games comes from Sweden, minecraft,battlefield,amnesia...etc
@DanyBaron
empfinde ich bis jetzt auch, teil 1 war iwie abwechslungsreicher.
It is not a loop,it is a spiral
There are two special additions to the story where Wake has to make a sequel to "Departure"
Which is "Return"
Played it yesterday and I freaked out >.
@snigelsallad amnesia was amazing. the prison part waah ;D
Yo they fucking left him lodged in the darkness but Alan Wake American nightmare is canon because the antagonist scratch appears in the original game for one complete second
Unfortunately, that was just a fantasy and one of Alan's failed attempts to escape. Control's AWE dlc confirmed this. But it hints at a new Alan Wake game for 2022.
I fucking hate when they give video games a cliffhanger only to never made a sequel.
Happy now??
it only took 13 years
So my question is that did he reverse the timeline to right after Alice went under she escaped? So did he change the timeline so non of the events happened in the real world and only Alice kinda knows what happened?
So cool
hello friends just now i finished the game plzzzzzzzzzz anybody tell me what about concept of alan wake game and describe about story
Just another AWE
AWESOME GAME!!
nice
Good think my Quantum Break disc come with a code that let's me download this game for free

awersome =)
Epic store kept losing my saved file so had to watch this. Great game though.
Why would you use epic games instead of steam

whats the name of the song? Someone know?

@FunStorm21 lol umad?
I really hope that if Remedy will make Alan Wake 2 they won't fuck it up, cause their last games kinda sucked.
Thats not end there is 3 season thats end of season 1 (easy)
Is this game horor? O.o
It's a psychological Thriller
Bought this game for $1.50 not realizing this game was about battery management. Right clicked too much and messed up my save. I'm not going to reload and do chapter 2 all over again. GG.
Calling Alan Wake a game about battery management is like calling Doom Eternal a game about ammo management - you kind of simplify and overcomplicate the issue.
you do know that the battery auto regenerates right?
There's literally 3 enemies in this game, Farmers with pitchforks, crows & flying objects. THAT'S IT.
Taken (which you mean as farmers) has 4 unique classes btw
@95Silvan Bioshock 1 war besser imo! :)
The fact that we play Mr Scratch, not real Alan whole game is fucked up
I don't get it
This game sucks. Repetitive combat
terrible story
the rest of the world disagrees with you
You are one of those people that like the explanation in front of you.
Splish splash your opinion is trash.
go to hell
No, you honestly comparing this to AW2? With endlessly boring, fake, unengaging Saga who has no fear, no backstory, and completely unrelatable? Really?
I went through the whole
Game understanding nothing besides the fact that we’re on vacation, wake is a writer, has a wife; and fights shadow monsters. I literally understood nothing else about the plot.
There is an entity in the Brightfalls lake that's trying to get out and bend reality to its will. To do so, it needs to manifest through the art of an artist. The people influenced by this entity have a perception of the past, present and future that allows them to write a story that conforms with reality all the while modifying it. Before Alan Wake was targeted by this entity, another artist, (Thomas Zane), used his power to bend reality in order to get to Alan what he needed to beat the entity at its own game.
By the end, Alan manages to defeat the physical manifestation of the identity by dooming himself to follow it to the lake. At that point, he realized the lake was not just a lake, it was a whole realm that belonged to the entity.
@@Defiring do you get this through playing the game? Or is there a separate piece of content that you got all this info from? The game is extremely vague. Perhaps it was the fact I played this game when I was 15…
They have it for free on psn I believe. Do you recommend playing the ps5 version a second go round? I don’t remember the game being very fun. Should I try a harder difficulty? Thank you for taking the time out of your day to explain all of this. You earned my sub
@@burritolover5082 Thanks for your answer ! I'm glad I made you reconsider a bit. I think you'll have a lot more fun with Alan Wake 2 but Alan Wake is a gem of its own. That said, the game expects you to explore and find information on your own even though it's linear, hence the issue of some people not getting the story depending on their playstyle.
Do try the harder difficulty, I found it a lot more fun with the ammo handling, and the dodge mechanics are good enough to not feel like the game is unfair.
In my opinion, you should definitely give it a go.
@@Defiring thank you so much! I just bought ds3 after getting a lot of satisfaction getting far in demon souls.
I really needed a game for when I need to take a break from soulslike games and this seems like the perfect one. I’m not the biggest fan of having to source information about a game I’m playing, but I’m also tired of the shitty stories most games have. I’m willing to go the extra mile if it means I have a better experience.
