Graham Greene was in the opening credits. He's one of my favorite actors. I really enjoyed his work on the Red Green show and The lonesome Dove television series. He was nominated for an academy award in a supporting role for his role in dances with wolves.

I love that you think any of these kids had parents that were trying to raise them. I grew up then, & there is a reason that the music was so angry, why we all used drugs & why we all hung out on the street. In the best circumstances, we had parents who just couldn't evolve with their kids, too stuck in their traditions & hang ups, but the majority has abusive, neglectful, addicted, mentally ill, etc parents. We left to be saver & loved by our peers, but we were young & stupid, & we all had to figure out how to survive. You should be mad at our society not a parent.

I’m not sure that the detective actually understands what the word squat means 😂 yes it can mean a few different things but in this case it means when someone deliberately enters property without permission and lives there, or intends to live there!

The first victim was called Elaine Bown, according to records found on the SCC website...how could the program make such a mistake with the name of the victim?
Edit: the victim in the second case was called Elena Tchoudakova...I believe the program intentionally changes the names
I remember a show (A thousand ways to die) where they changed the names of the victim and perpetrator from tenth century Scotland.

First case name was Elaine Bown, not Cyntia. The 2 criminals got 25 years but they needed life clearly.
If I were related to any of these woman. If their killers were ever released I would look them up.

It's more like the dark world of skinheads, back then skins used to prey on punks and they didn't get along. But there were kinds of skins that were cool and just liked the music and culture. Punks were just disaffected suburban kids who enjoyed the music scene and dressed differently than what was in fashion at the time. Of course there's bad apples in any group of people and punks aren't any different.

You let your 16YEAR OLD GIRL go and sleep rough in the name of belonging to some ‘cool’ punk culture all weekend, who does that? Poor girl had a terribly horrific death all cos her parents didn’t want to parent her properly 😢 yes give your children their freedom but she was a 16 year old girl, vulnerable out there hanging around people intoxicated with all sorts of drugs and alcohol.

She was 16. No one deserves to die like that for being young and wanting to fit in somewhere and feel special. Pretty sure we all look back and cringe at some decisions we made as kids, but, mostly, we had the dumb luck of it not being a worst case scenario. She didn't get to learn from her mistakes. Every time I hear joke of punishments the Canadian justice gives to teenagers who kill, even brutally kill it makes me mad all over again. This evil creature will be out after 10 years (probably he is already out) and the Canadian justice system provides him with a new name, most likely a job and/benefits, because the poor evil teenager has a long life ahead of him, he just made a mistake, as if his victim wasn’t young enough to die, who also made a big mistake hanging out with the wrong people.
Even if he stopped killing, (mostly likely learned in prison how not to get caught next time, evil people don’t change) , but let’s say for argument sake he “rehabilitated”, what message do you send to other teenagers? You will do between 1-10 years where 10 years is for the most evil, if a teen “just” raped and doesn’t have history either no jail or maybe a year or two.

People do a lot of things in their teens for a sense of camaraderie, freedom, and experimentation. Many people are lucky to survive their choices through dumb luck rather than good choices. No one deserves to die--be slaughtered--like that for being young and assuming bad things won't happen to them. Your victim blaming and lack of compassion is honestly alarming.
Just because these days everyone thinks that way does not mean that if you mixed with the wrong people and chose that way that when things happened, you don’t need to be held responsible for your own actions. It’s your own actions that led to your consequences. These days the belief is that you can do whatever and if something bad happens to you it is all others fault. No, sorry. You still need to take the responsibility of your own actions. Not the actions of others, but your own actions.
