I just want to point out a line of cosmological thinking that runs parallel to this, and does seek to reconcile the archetypal perspective with quantum physics: Jude Currivan (and Edgar Mitchell), the Quantum Hologram, and The Story of Gaia. Which take information, the way in which energy is patterned, as foundational, and speaks of underlying attractors as the organizing forces behind the evolution of biology, consciousness, and even the human psyche and culture. Another word for "archetypes". Whitehead's process-relational metaphysics runs on similar lines. There is nothing random about the way the cosmos organizes itself. Think "synchronicity" again.
