We have an overall young defense, with a coach that’s not looking for a head coaching position. This is a recipe for success. He will mold the defense this year and add the pieces he needs moving forward. I see a very bright future for our defense. Just give it time
Well you never know anything for sure, but based on the fact that Vic said he would like to end his career here, lends itself to the idea that he could remain our defensive coordinator for a while. If u look at most of the best teams there’s a consistency with the philosophy. KC is a perfect example. It will benefit our young guys to have a coordinator that here for several years. Learn the philosophy, add to it with players, and eventually they will know it inside n out. I predict top 5 defense by the middle of next year.

Davis, Cater whoever you gotta run and put road work in everyday at least 5 days a week they know this . there's no more excuses.. stay in shape so you don't have to get in shape.. it's not that hard really especially when you're getting paid to be in shape you play football because you love it that's the fun part but you get paid to be in shape & know the playbook and do your job ... like I understand you have to adapt coming out of college into the pros but after your first year you should understand what you have to do...Go Birds 🦅

Watching Kellen Moore throughout his Boise State time NEVER lost a game in college it was amazing to watch sucked he couldn't translate to NFL but fuck he is a he'll of an OC I was glad he left dallas
Did you watch any football 2 years ago? Hurts was number 1 in the nfl against the blitz.. it was the play call and audibles that didn't work this year. That's why many (vet) players had issues with the coaching staff.. keep up!!

So the Fangio scheme seems to be- Playing 2 High safeties D line eats the blockers Linebackers run free to make plays.. Corners play zone or man depending on situation. Sounds a lot like the old Tampa 2 defense.
Fangio just needs to be decent, if he does good. Were going really far next year for sure. Eagles were a mess last year but this year Eagles are stronger, smarter, faster, more technical, and hopefully more creative. Though, these coaches make me feel like this might work very very well or be a complete failure.
I'd rather we adopt the Jim Schwartz media policy, don't talk to the media anymore, let it go through the coach from now on. I don't need to hear from my coordinators. I think they do that to help them in their careers

I've had my reservations about his size, and athleticism, but if you see what his father instilled in him. He can overcome his physical flaws. Willing to give him a shot.
There goes the season! Fangio unimpressive as a communicator! His style reveals blocky chunky stuckness and an inability to demonstrate connection this team says it values. Over riding impression is one of his failure to systematically delegate to assistants such that systemic failures led players to point to fangio rather than assistants. Moving the pieces off the field is clearly not his strenght.
This is stupid on an entirely different level, 😂😂😂. The guy has been a NFL DC for almost 20 years. His schemes are the most emulated schemes in the league. I mean we seemingly have a better secondary, and the linebackers should be better. We should be better. Offense should help the defense this year also
