    Cell Phone Service: Bell, Telus, Koodo, Virgin Mobile, Rogers and Fido was excellent service. Very reliable. If you've been to this park please let us know your experience with cell service especially if your with a provider not previously mentioned.

    Love Rainbow Falls. My favorite place! I worked there years ago and it's just as beautiful now as it was then!

    Loved the vlog! We were always Quebec bound, but you have convinced us to follow in your footsteps. My husband and son are already planning for Lake Superior pp, Sleeping Giant pp, Ouimet, and Rainbow Falls pp trip next year.
    Btw, I would have taken that water body at Ouimet as a glacier 🙂

    Great video. We were at Rainbow Falls last year as part of our Sleeping Giant trip. Same side of the park as you Whitesands. We were in the section just on the left past the check in. We had a beautiful site that was huge, not pull through. We did notice walking through the park that some of the sites were small and uneven. We really enjoyed our few days there.

    Neys Provincial Park is beautiful, one of the most impressive beaches that I have seen at a provincial park. The area was a POW camp during WW2. It's worth a stop in even if it's for a couple hours.

      Our big regret on this trip is that we didn't camp at Neys. We did Rainbow Falls instead because Neys was booked up and Rainbow Falls had availability. Well, that just means that we have to go back!

      @@CampingwiththeColes Neys is one of those parks that during the last three years, sites were booked within minutes once the online booking was opened. Literally hitting refresh / F5 every few seconds at 7 am.

      Neys is one of our faves!! We discovered the river and the clay. And made clay slides on the rocks. Thats was over 10 yrs ago; the kids still talk about Neys! + the blueberries and raspberries!!

    Hi and thanks, Camping with the Coles for sharing.
    Kayaking at the Great Lakes is on my bucket list...I would like to learn surroundings.
    Wow..this view is stunning...2:39...May I ask how early you arrive at the lookout? It seems cold...
    Yay! Kayaking...This is like a painting...13:43
    Very informative. Well done. 🙋‍♀🙋‍♀🛶🛶

      Hey, thanks for the support. We were at the Ouimet Canyon Lookout at around 11 am. The temperature was around 15C. We were mostly covered up because of the fog and rain not because it was cold. The bugs weren't bad but a few in our group had their heads covered with bug nets due to an abundance of caution because our last few hikes were quite buggy.

    Very helpful video. Planning a trip this way in October, trying to fit in as many of the provincial parks that are open at that time. It appears Rainbow Falls is one of the parks that is open year round1

      At least you won't have any mosquitoes and deer flies to deal with in October. It'll be a beautiful drive up there at that time of year. Enjoy!

    Hi Coles. Really like your videos. Well done and bravo!!! In 2016, we bravely took 4 children and travelled out West with our 28ft trailer. We camped at Pancake Bay, Sleeping Giant, Rainbow Falls, Aaron (Erin?), Grasslands National Park, Dinosaur Park, Banff National Park, Jasper and a few stops at private camps and a friend’s cottage. So your trip brings back very positive memories for us. Thank you. I was astonished by the beauty of Northern Ontario. Everyone should try it if they possibly can and I’m so glad you had the opportunity to do it yourselves. Moreover, our children could not believe after having learned about Terry Fox in school, how far he really ran when we stopped at the memorial site off the highway in Thunder Bay. We were in tears! Our bucket list item is to go out East, Covid put a pause on that, but are you considering that in the near future?

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  2 роки тому +1

      That sounds like a great adventure across Canada, four years ago. We would love to do something similar at some point. We've also been considering going out east. We've travelled a lot through the US over the years but not much across Canada. This 7 park, 3 week trip to Superior was tough on the wallet due to the ridiculously high gas prices. We'll look into expanding once/if the gas prices go back down. Our friends Jamie and Kelly (they make an appearance later in the season at Bonnechere and Lake St. Peter) headed out to Newfoundland with their scamp. Last night they sent us some pics from Dildo Run Provincial Park. We'll get all the info from them then hopefully plan our own trip.

    I was just there, we did, Rainbow Falls, Ouimet Canyon, I got a 23 foot trailer and I did not un hook, lol the hills in Hwy 17 are steeper then that hill, plenty of space to turnaround at the top. We did sleeping Giant, the. The Thunder Bay KOA.

    Last year, we did White Lake, Quetico, Kakabeka Falls, Rainbow Falls and Neys. It was an epic camping trip. Rainbow Falls, is a hidden gem!

    Take it from a Northwestern Ontarian, picking Rainbow Falls over Neys is a rookie mistake! If you guys ever plan to hit the parks west of Thunder Bay, Aaron Park is a nice small park, Blue Lake and Sioux Narrows are gems as well.

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  Рік тому +1

      You are absolutely right. We were rookies booking for parks around Lake Superior. We realized our mistake as soon as we got to Rainbow Falls. We definitely will hit Neys at some point. Thanks for the tips on the other parks.

    Great season so far. I have to ask...has your top 5 changed because of season 4?

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  2 роки тому

      It sure has! We did that top 5 based on our first two seasons of video reviews. Those are all still great parks but we've visited so many more since then that the list has definitely changed. We hope to put out a new top five in the new year. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  2 роки тому

      Yes! I sure am. Wouldn't go back to a regular one. I'm probably seen in almost every video on it. Did you watch the Grundy video yet? It still works great. Not top notch or anything, but perfect for what I paid. Thumbs up for electric bikes overall! If you are thinking about getting one, I don't think you will be disappointed:)😃🚴‍♀
