When the client can't stop talking. True story My buddy was going north in the left hand lane on a 4 lane divided highway, when a tractor trailer going north in the right lane decided to turn left across his lane. Luckily my buddy and his granddaughter hit the posts on the trailer instead of going under the trailer, which would have probably killed them. They had some pretty severe injuries and were suing the company that owned the trucking line. Their lawyer was pushing to settle out of court, even though the amount wasn't much over their medical bills and didn't cover future medical costs. My buddy asked the lawyer why he wouldn't go to trial. Lawyer: Because I can't trust you on the stand. Buddy: What do you mean? I'm an honest person. Lawyer: I can't trust you to simply answer the questions asked. Can you answer a question with a simple, yes or no? My buddy replied to the lawyer's question about answering with a simple yes or no. Ten minutes later the lawyer interrupted him saying, "See. This is exactly what I'm talking about. You can't just say, yes or no. I have no clue what it is you're talking about now, and I can't put you on the stand without knowing what you may start rambling on about." At least my buddy was smart enough to know his limitations and allowed the lawyer to do his job. No, it didn't go to court.
That's if your only goal is just to make the sale. If you're wanting customer to have full understanding and satisfaction, then maybe you have to explain things.
Poor Mr. Patterson, he’s the exception to the rule of, “You get the lawyer you deserve.” Fella got that 1000 yard stare when he realized he couldn’t shut Mr. Brown up.
Judge Webster finally told Mr. Brown what we all had been wanting to tell him after hearing all his whining about not being able to see his newborn. “Dude, stop breaking the law!”
I had to look up what PFA means. Protection From Abuse, which is a civil action similar to a restraining order, that bars the alleged abuser from having any contact with the abused/alleged abused
Sounds like a Christopher Lloyd bit in "Taxi" "what does a yellow light mean?" "slow down" "what.....does ....a .....yellow.....light......mean?" "SLOW DOWN!" "Whaaaaaat........doessss........a .......Yellooooow.........liiiiiight ..........meeeeaaaan?""
I thought he said he named his child "Lemon" 🤣 I was mad. took me back to when I heard Gwenith Paltrow named her baby "Apple". 😤 I rewound it and turned up the volume and was happy to hear it was "London". 😅
Only on Law Talk with Mike do you hear, nonchalantly mind you from Mike, "He's only slightly better than the guy smoking glue" LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m only 15 minutes into the video but I hope someone explains what Steven’s A71 is doing! So distracting. Judge Manning would have made his sit down and sit still.
Public defenders often don't communicate very thoroughly. Impression is that they are just going through motions. To them its just another _____ case that equates to a given sentence, but to defendant, its life altering. They may not really care if circumstances don't support the charge. If you only get a few minutes before a judge, they may be desperate to explain their circumstances.
Uh as a retired paramedic, I don't recall a judge requesting us to attach a GPS tracker. That makes zero sense. It's not our thing to get tangled up in courts... that's law enforcement jobs.
"Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 32.51. Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information" --- Our man forgot to put "Fraudulent Use or Possession..." in front of his Texas charge. Obviously "Possession of Identifying Information" would not be illegal. LOL
This entire time he claims his newborn is a month old, towards the end we find out she might be 11,no 10, no I'm confused maybe 9 days? Could it be FEBRUARY not MARCH ? Lol
I'm a bit confused as to why he can't see his "Wife". None of the cases listed were a DV and and he claimed it stemmed from an assault on 2 guys in his house. How would they be able to separate him from his family simply because she's a witness?
Hi... I am not sure what the Judge's name is at 2:05 , but I like the ways she says Pre Trial....however when first saying it was cut off, giving what looks like a "you mofo, people tune in for this part you took away." .... Like your videos
Hello from Southern California. I have to believe that studies have been done on people who live their lives in and out of jail and can't stop their repeated arrests. It's obvious their parents and schools aren't teaching the basics of good citizenship or how to think about consequences before actions. I'm glad I'm so old I won't be around when these people are running the country.
To a large extent now, there are no civics classes in public school. Or at least anything with meat, discussion, opening of eyes. Dismaying. However, some lessons and conversations need take place with parents, elders. Free public education is merely a baseline. This is why, IMO, people inexplicably believe that they have a "right" to everything under the sun.
@@fakeFeetus well no. It's not. My sister has worked for the local school corporation for years. Many discussions about this (and related). In talking with all my young people, it astounds that they lacked even basic knowledge or understanding of government, society. The tenets.
And todays PSA on why you let your Attorney speak for you thank you Mr. Brown for showing us a very special PSA and the covenant dont worry it gets worse award. Good lord that was a long train ride.
It's wild that passengers are also charged with the driver's crimes. There's no way she got into the car with the understanding that the driver would flee a traffic stop and drag a cop.
I can relate very much to the defendant. Being nice and sincere does not help all the time. Sometimes not saying anything feel like you are hiding things and therefore lying.
Good point. But with armed robbery and kidnapping among his pending charges, sincerity in his case is questionable.😅 But you’re kind, and I appreciate your comment 😊
I find it impossible to age Mr Regier. I bet he’s fun when out of work. An automaton while in work? He reminds me of FBI -I live in England so what do I know 😂
I kinda believe the guy, he caught a bunch of cases and now he's confused about all the different conditions and he sounds like he's really trying to do the right thing... Maybe... But it seems that way... I hope it works out for him
Also, she is ordering him to the courthouse for his trial. He better hope his lawyer gives it his all and gets him found not guilty. It sounds like she is hoping to lock him up.
Oh my goodness. This guy has 3 different charges with 3 different Judges. 😂😅. He boo hoo’ing he wants to see his newborn baby. Maybe he should stay out of trouble
😂🤣Mr. Regier maturing before our eyes. Pretty soon his voice will change and he’ll start to grow facial hair
"I was detoxing at the moment" translates to "I was out of drugs".
Facts hahaha
On watching this one, I'm sure that Regier is a bird of prey. The unblinking eyes and tilting head reminds me of an owl listening for a juicy meal.
When Judge Webster gives you that look, you know the case is over.
When the client can't stop talking.

That is a great story! 😂😂💐
🤣 🤣 🤣 Brilliant
Mike: Regier is maturing in front of our eyes
My brain: yeah, the final transformation will be at the "Enchantment Under the Sea Dance" 😅

Love Mr. Regier's expressionless face!
Judge Webster finally told Mr. Brown what we all had been wanting to tell him after hearing all his whining about not being able to see his newborn. “Dude, stop breaking the law!”
Judge Webster is not having anyone's excuses today.
Poor Mr Patterson once again learned no good deed goes unpunished.
This is my first time putting a face to that name. Reminds me of hold the pain harold.
I had to look up what PFA means. Protection From Abuse, which is a civil action similar to a restraining order, that bars the alleged abuser from having any contact with the abused/alleged abused

Love looking at Mike, like a little kid in candy shop. He seems to love this stuff
Holy cow!!!! Armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping, and he has other cases pending as well????? This guy is a one man crime spree!!!
Kills me when they complain about GPS on them. Like yeah you did this not the court.
I finally figured out what she was saying before watching your opening bit. She is saying "PRE-trial"!
His lawyer was trying his best to get the shovel from him!!! Defendant continued, and refused to put the shovel down! Excellent entertainment! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
The lawyer is like girl you on your own!
When I first saw Mr Rigier (I think that is his name) I thought he was very staid.... after seeing him a few times, I like his no nonsense style 🙃
@macking104 ?? I don't know Mad Men??? 😕
He grows on you 😅
Mr Brown is a shining example of Dunning Kruger at it’s finest
I want a judge Alex Manning fan club, or trading card set.
I thought he said he named his child "Lemon" 🤣 I was mad. took me back to when I heard Gwenith Paltrow named her baby "Apple". 😤 I rewound it and turned up the volume and was happy to hear it was "London". 😅

😂🎉 Mike rocks 🪨
ADA Regier's hair hasn't moved in 13 years.
Regier sounded almost jiddy when Judge Webster left that girl in jail to serve her sentence instead of parole😁🤪
I’m only 15 minutes into the video but I hope someone explains what Steven’s A71 is doing! So distracting. Judge Manning would have made his sit down and sit still.
I was thinking the same thing. WTH was he doing?
I'm 10mins in and hoping someone mentions him, did they? He looks nodded and getting ready to use again?
He is useless in this video.
It's beyond clear that he just shot up minutes before he zoomed in. Probably heroin is my guess
I love it when Judge Webster gets all kindergarten teacher on defendants 😂
Why hire/accept a lawyer if you are not going to listen to him/her. SHM!!
Public defenders often don't communicate very thoroughly. Impression is that they are just going through motions. @@shotforshot5983 bingo.
Maybe Reiger realized that he's working too hard over violators who incriminate themselves.
Mr. Patterson looks like he’s ready to throw it all in right now….poor man
Mr Brown - "I just want to be at home with my child"
Judge Webster - "When was the child born?"
Mr Brown - 🦗🦗🦗🦗
$460 and missed serving a weekend - served 60 days and the judge thinks she needs to stay in jail? That's really irrational, and extreme!
Somebody needs to write a book on “excuses to tell the judge”! I think I’ve heard them all, we need to come up with something new. 😅😅😅😅
Twice Judge Webster said, "it isn't her first......" and BOTH times I expected to hear "rodeo". 😅
Gotta love prosecutor George McFly's stoic face.
Home health? I'm calling BS
I’m sure a saw a flash of green light behind Mr. Regier’s eyes…. He is the best!
Uh as a retired paramedic, I don't recall a judge requesting us to attach a GPS tracker. That makes zero sense. It's not our thing to get tangled up in courts... that's law enforcement jobs.
Electronic Monitoring Services
I can't believe an AI entity of Jregier's caliber needs an assistant.
I'm old & I know it cuz neighbors kids having fun sounded like goat screams...lol.
Same and when they cry it sounds like a dying whale 🐳
Steven was creeping me out the entire call, no idea what he was doing that whole time.
Always listen to your lawyer, and let him/her do all the talking and shut up.
"Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 32.51. Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information" --- Our man forgot to put "Fraudulent Use or Possession..." in front of his Texas charge. Obviously "Possession of Identifying Information" would not be illegal. LOL

Mr Patterson-bless him. He gets the really difficult to control 😅
Stevens look like he's passed out, standing. Lol
Mike is my favorite UA-cam person. Regier is my favorite attorney on all of UA-cam. How to reconcile this? They are both fantastic
Missed the Live Mike, some of us have a life 🐐🐐🐐
I'm a bit confused as to why he can't see his "Wife". None of the cases listed were a DV and and he claimed it stemmed from an assault on 2 guys in his house. How would they be able to separate him from his family simply because she's a witness?
absolutely love this channel!
This judge absolutely reminds me of the little boy that says " apparently " over and over after being handed the mic on live TV broadcast
My whole family laughs when someone says "appppaaaarently"
Boy, he's already managed to completely fail parenthood.
Poor Mr. Patterson….he’s only 32….it’s his clients
Hi Mike, I missed a live again. This with judge Webster is super LoL. Thx a lot

This is such a tired type of thinking based on generalizations your parents made about your generation, and I work in juvenile detention unit.
People have gone to jail forever. Not sure what you want the schools to do. They lay down the law and the parents flip out.
@@fakeFeetus well no. It's not. My sister has worked for the local school corporation for years. Many discussions about this (and related). In talking with all my young people, it astounds that they lacked even basic knowledge or understanding of government, society. The tenets.
Those people are called politicians.
L👀K at Young Sheldon grew up to become an attorney!! Lovely 😂😂😂
Looks like Jimmy Neutron
47:18 I think Judge Webster enjoys tormenting Mr. Patterson.
And todays PSA on why you let your Attorney speak for you thank you Mr. Brown for showing us a very special PSA and the covenant dont worry it gets worse award. Good lord that was a long train ride.
Patterson's a good bloke. He's doing his job.
I just realized our AI Jregiers frown line lines up perfectly with the curve on the back of his chair.
I received my coffee cups and shirt today! So excited
What does that judge have in that cup? Lol

The guy that keeps scratching is making me itch😂
You looked gorgeous. Such a beautiful location and everyone looked like they were having a blast. You look like your mom! Blessing on you and Jeremy!
Are you lost? I think you got lost...
another banger mike!
Anyone gonna talk about stevens A71? Was he doing laundry?
.
Regier looks like Charlie Sheen in Wall Street
Jeigers spaceship dropped him off about 70 years too late
These people get locked up for what people in Baltimore do everyday all day in front of the police. That's how you know you are not in a free society
That defense atty just didn’t care enough to get it together
That last case was a total train wreck. Totally caused by the defendant. 😢
I kinda believe the guy, he caught a bunch of cases and now he's confused about all the different conditions and he sounds like he's really trying to do the right thing... Maybe... But it seems that way... I hope it works out for him
Think he’s looking for the easy way out
Replay Crew! Webster seems over it today!
Im so glad that I've never been in major trouble
1-2 days labor? Mine was FIVE!!!!
I lived in Sedgwick County Kansas for 2½ years 😊
The Cuban dude has me rolling
Also, she is ordering him to the courthouse for his trial. He better hope his lawyer gives it his all and gets him found not guilty. It sounds like she is hoping to lock him up.
Judge Webster is a pretty empathetic human, I trust her judgement 😊
I finally figured it out. Jregeir is actually max headroom.
If you have a bar guild member representing you you have already lost.
Herding irresponsible cats.
I think you're right about that not being his child... The dudes he kicked out visiting while he was @ work.. one of them was the father...Possibly!😂
Someone please give Darren a drink. Poor lawyer must be considering earl´ly retirement after his shit show
Aggravated keynapping...
Is dude in the Hawaiian looking shirt, Stevens A71, is he completely nodded out at times?!!?
State of Kansas vs. “tray” 👀
So when I think of tray I think ash tray or food tray, not a name. People we got to better! 🤦♀️
If Wally Cox were still around he could play Reiger in the movie. Bet he's a real party animal!
Did the guy in the middle square lose a bet?
Great one Mike 😎✌️
Oh my goodness. This guy has 3 different charges with 3 different Judges. 😂😅. He boo hoo’ing he wants to see his newborn baby. Maybe he should stay out of trouble
That one dude in the stripes looks like Rekieta!
Much love Mike !! 🙏🏼 You made my day brother.
