Great tip! You guys should do a pool underwater test on snaps to see/how much a terminal snap affects lure action (hard twitch baits, topwaters, plastic shads profiles, and swimbaits).
I do something similar using two tactical angler clips. One from main leader to top of cork, the second from bottom of cork enabling me to switch out pre-rigged leader/lures or even take whole assembly off and tie on lure to main leader. I still use loop knots on the lures themselves.
I like to tie a loop knot at the end under the popping cork large enough to fit a standard size lure that allows me to easily switch out baits , change colors or even switch to a live bait hook set up without having to retie.

Great tip. When do you think the best conditions are to use a popping cork?
I did that years ago…moved on to what’s oaks better for me. I had all kinds of lengths on all kinds of baits. I used bank cash envelopes to hold them, wrote length, bait type and weight on the envelope. But I put the clip on the cork or main line and a swivel on the leader line. I used Norman Lures Speed Clips for a quick connect, loved em. No longer, became impractical. I now make lengths as I need them, I start long and can shorten if needed. I use 4Horse corks, start with 4ft leader and work backward. For clips I use the paper clip type, Tactical Anglers Power Clips 25lb version. They are small, they work in salt water and with the inshore baits I like to use and take a beating. No failures yet. I put that on the end of my leader and attach it to the lure and tie the leader to the cork. On the mainline I use a larger version power clip to attach corks or the smaller power clip to attach bait for tightlining. I liked what you suggested…20 yrs ago.

I wrap my prepared leaders around a small piece of cardboard (about playing card sized, but thicker board) and store them in quart sized zip lock bags. The cardboard is not ideal, as it tends to get wet. I am looking for small pieces of plastic about the same sized. 😎
So you don't like the Billy Bay adjustable popping cork? You know depths change sometimes minute to minute. I agree, those adjustable that you wrap the line are stupid. If you guys made an adjustable 4 horsemen with the tube I would definitely buy it.

A Gulp bait under a popping cork should be pretty good. I've never used that kind of popping cork, I remember the old ones that were just a foam coan with a popper top and plastic stick. They never did any good for me but I'm willing to try the kind in the video. Lately Gulp and your soft plastics are getting chewed up by little fish and only Z Man can deal with the abuse. Ribbon fish are like ants lately too. Maybe a cork will help get past the croakers and spots.
The puffers are terrible on soft plastics!
