This series has been more then awesome so far not only because is a joy to see you in this environment talking to these people but because it really made me appreciate much more what's around a museum piece.
Not just a boring unimportant box but something almost as important as the exposed piece itself with an immense work behind.

Agree 100%. Really enjoying Adam's behind-the-scenes look and interviews at Smithsonian.
More please, in other Maker spaces, museums, etc. 👌👍

I love this! As a fellow museum professional and nerd, the interpretive work exhibit developers do is super important to the whole exhibit design. Without them, the amazing exhibits you see in your local and favorite museums wouldn't be possible. It's a lot of behind-the-scenes work but seeing that fully-installed exhibit come to life is truly magical. For me, seeing how the public interacts with an exhibit in their own unique ways is why I love this field and love what I do everyday.

My granddad always talked about wanting to go to the Smithsonian. We never got the chance before he passed away, but man he would of loved these videos.

That was rather Meta: Asking John Powell, who's job it is to distill exhibits down to a few a words as possible, to distill his job down to as few a words as possible.... :)

Good interview, shame we didn't get to see them in action for an exhibit but this was still an interesting watch.

If ever given the opportunity to visit the London Smithsonian,,
Could you inquire about those reported fake moon rocks. I think that be an especially interesting episode.

In this interview, John is mastering the art of talking about so many things and nothing at the same time..
