    Dude, thank you very much for this video. Very clear and informative. I actually watched it before but didn't see the value as I do now. I like the strategy because it doesn't require any subjective additions like level and FIBS. The 1 minute chart draws the level for you and the retest show the validity of that level. Thx again.

    Great video, TY. The initial opening range is within about the first 10 to 15 minutes in case anyone missed that. It could be expanded to the first hour and a half as the morning wears on. That was an important takaway for me. The retest method is something to perfect. Also the impulse candle size was a very good point about the likely price action afterwards. Nice!

    If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

      The first step to successful investing is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance either on your own or with the help of a financial professional but is very advisable you make use of a professional like I did. If you get the facts about saving and investing and follow through with an intelligent plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your money

    Dude this is CRAZY! This is EXACTLY what I've been working on to pass a PROP trading challenge. Cutting losses has been my achilles heel. However I'm managing that how by only taking 25% of a position, until the stock has demonstrated it intends to trend. So I'm optimistic for next week. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. This a ridiculously simple strategy that it makes sense. Just an open range breakout.

    • @skybiz4520
      @skybiz4520 9 місяців тому +1

      I can bet that It's going to break out of range in about 40% cases in other 60% action will return back into the range.. Because Market is ranging most of the times.. Also Many times action will sweep those Stop losses just above high and under Low, to return into the range again.. So? your example is not typical..

    • @waltermorris5786
      @waltermorris5786 8 місяців тому

      @@skybiz4520 By far the best approach is only take a break out in the direction of the moving average. I have literally studied break outs over 500 hours. The only time to violate this rule is if there has been a long trend, bear or bull. Channels can occur at the bottom or top of a long trend...In that case the moving average is irrelevant cause the mkt is either accumulation...bottom channel...or distribution...at the top of a trend. Both will eventually break out in the opposite direction of the previous trend. As a general rule, channels...narrow trading ranges are continuation patterns...they will break out with the dominant trend, 70 percent of the time, and the moving average demonstrates the trend direction.

      Buy low sell high. Stick with a good company by either not selling when it’s going lower and/or buying more at that time. But In a situation where you're after short term profit, it is best to get in touch with an investment professional to guide you with entry and exit points.

    I would add one thing. This is a breakaway strategy, which means that once price retests a price level the whole strategy is designed to make profit once the price bounces off that price level and "breaks away" from that price level. Once the price hits and retests and starts to move in your direction for profit, it's the do or die time. It's either going to "break away" or not. If it looks like it doesn't have enough gas, energy, momentum, whatever you want to call it, move your stop loss to breakeven, then you don't lose any money on the trade for being "not quite right". I'm not saying do it right away - you have to give price enough time to breakaway. But its better to not lose any money that to watch the price move against your position because the "break away" didn't materialize in a certain time frame. In other words, the trade did not materialize.

    I notice that when you set your hod and lod you are not using the same wicks for both or same bodies for both. I see you use a wick on one and the body or close on the other, what do you recommend? It will make a difference.

      He is taking the first hod, therefore, it would not be the second candle with the wick. I've seen him do this with other trades as well.

    If you place your stoploss that close, that trade would hit that stoploss immediately after limit/market ordering due to how spreads or whatever are made during that trade?
    Also are you market entering these trades? Immediately on the candle pattern, or after the candle closes?
    Thanks

      Then the strategy wouldn’t have worked. This isn’t live trading - it’s baxktesting. You can’t have the foresight to know where something is a backtest until you look back at it later. This works - but you can’t get the sniper entries he’s showing in options trading.
