Thanks for these amazing videos of 4014! I saw in Denton, Texas. I'm sure all the crew enjoyed the tour of this part of the country but are glad to be home. Thanks for sharing this historical locomotive with us. I love the trains.
That "whoomph" as 4014 goes under the bridge at Speer, at 15:00, just amazing, and the person on the bridge clearly thought so too! Great video sequence, the resolution of your camera really shows off the incredible work the team did on restoring the locomotive - it looks brand new! Hoping for another visit to Utah next year, but this will do nicely for now! Thanks for posting.
My real name is Michael McCluskey. I've been a fan of steam locomotives all my life. I was really happy to see the largest steam locomotive 'Big Boy' brought back to life. I also have a very detailed Rivarossi HO scale 'Big Boy'.
At Terry bison ranch you haven't marked as Speer Wyoming. We were standing on the same bridge I was directly over the big boy as it went under the bridge on my video
What happened to the Gree(z)ley, Co. stop. 7 sept., on the way back to Cheyenne? I was there. And some town called henderson is in video? Huh!, I guess that's how important this forsaken area IS NOT. I Enjoyed Immensely. Thank You Steam Crew. BullyBilly
Thanks for these videos. Great audio. Love hearing the locomotive work. Was 4014 flue sanding in the Speer, Wyoming, section of the video? That was a loot of sooty looking exhaust.
I try to pick spots where the whistle won't drown out the sound of the locomotive working. Check out the pacing shot between Greeley and Nunn. Plenty of high quality stack audio there.
I’m new to the train scene. So every stop it ports in overnight it changes locomotives? When touring through St Louis it had the 4014 Union Pacific diesel locomotive attached.
I was lucky enough to be the conductor on the Bigboy for this trip.
Thanks for all the work you do on the railroad!
If you were a conductor then I might have interacted with you, because I was fortunate enough to ride the train from Denver to Cheyenne
Always amazes me just how enormous this man-made machine is. Kudos to those keeping her in beautiful shape. Great video, as per usual. Thanks.
That overhead view while 4014 was backing out of the Denver Yard was magnificent.
Absolutely fantastic - at 12:?? it is under steam pressure - You can here the rapid patter of the chuff
Looking at it from above it just shows this locomotive is a work of art.
The shot from a bridge with 4014 passing 1989 with the excursion consist is just fantastic. Great series of videos. Thanks very much for the videos.
Okay, that shot from the bridge at Speer is STUNNING! She is really working with zero diesel assist. Fantastic! Oh that shot is so AWESOME!!!

I was there!! At Speer, that is, maybe 15 feet down the hill from the bridge. SPECTACULAR. Very glad you filmed and posted it!
Nice captures. Iconic beauty shot at 11:45 - "Steaming Across the Prairie"
Seeing the dome diner in the consist brings back memories of 1969 and my only chance to experience those wonderful cars.

TYVM for all your videos on Big Boy 4014 really enjoyed them all.
So glad I was able to see this amazing machine a couple weeks ago. Great vid!
What a beautiful beast! Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
Wow you should put together all the clips you have and make a documentary of the big boy 2021 Excrusion route

Yes the last leg of the 2021 Tour
Where did the observation end car go?
Wonderful video, I like to see agin & again
Any plans to run the 4014 again in the near future?
GOOSEBUMPS!!!!
Why is the diesel loco part of that train? Ruins the whole effect. In fact, you can hear the diesel running. Is it helping out or something?
This question has been beaten to death. Google it.

Nice to hear the exhaust, good job capturing it! Maybe a 'no whistle' edit someday?

@@FanRailer watching it now! Now I want a Big Boy! Nice work man!

Why there are two diesel locomotive helpers. Only one not enough for help dynamic brake?
Please read the description.
Can anyone explain the addition of the Rio Grande locomotive? It wasn’t part of the earlier tour.

@@FanRailer The heritage unit makes no sense headed to Omaha isn't a former Rio Grande route.
Rio Grande 1989 trailing
So what was up with the extra diesel??
Not to pull attention away from the fantastic footage.
Dynamic braking.
Wish that was in Louisiana

Hey fanrailer can you make a video about train crashes
NEVER GiVE UP
Cái đầu máy hơi nước này vứt bỏ đi được rồi đó còn giữ lại để sử dụng, nó lạc hậu rồi bây giờ người ta dùng bằng loại đầu máy diesel hiện đại chứ
