I love summer I live 15 mins from the ocean I love the beach, warm weather and the long days I have a hard time with trees definitely going to try this technique.
Haha ooh how I wish I loved summer. I do enjoy summer evenings. Do you live in a warm beach climate or a cooler one? I grew up with rocky shores, mist, and very cold kelp filled water haha
I hope this technique for these abstract type of trees worked out well for you.
Just love this tutorial! I'm a newbie to watercolours and I'm really drawn to the moody landscapes 💚
Love it! So great to connect with you in the Facebook group!
I’ve tried your techniques. Still perfecting them but I’ m pleased even with the first results. Ty for sharing.
Wonderful! I love hearing that good news. 🌲
Had never seen this technique for trees and I LOVE IT! I am going to try it - seems easy and they look so dreamy! Thank you for posting this video! :)
Woohoo! Love that. It's fun to experiment and play around with water. One of the wonderful things about watercolor. Thank you so much for leaving me a comment and watching. I appreciate it so much.
Ik this was a yr ago but I Love This!!! I’m a beginner and I love more abstract and less realism. I’m going to try my had at Christmas Cards this year for family and these trees are right up My ally!!! Thank You So Very Much ❤😊
These would make wonderful Christmas cards! Abstract is pretty freeing.
So pretty!😍🌲
Thank you! 😊
Everything you paint is always so beautiful! Thank you for your videos!
Omg! ☺️thank you!
I love summer because I love being outdoors & kayaking
Summer is just around the corner, so I bet you must be thrilled! I’m not much of a summer person, but this year I am actually looking forward to spring and summer. 🌲
I really like them. Everyone has good and bad days… but you know what they say .need to show up. And you showed up great.😮
Thank you :). And absolutely. It's all about showing up, and letting go sometimes.
One of the best tutorials. I learned sooo much from your demo. 🙏Thank you.
Oooh wow, what a nice comment! Thank you so much!
Love, love , love your attitude. It's easy to get frustrated as a beginner. You made it feel ok to just let the watercolor be free.
It seriously is easy to get frustrated as a beginner, especially with watercolor. I think we all go through that process but eventually get better at letting go.
Summertime is my fave, since I live in a rainy State.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Haha summer is slowly growing on me. The forest smells pretty good when it's warm. And there's nothing like the sounds of birdsong.
I do need the extra encouragement, many times I feel disappointed in my painting travels, and then stop for a while😴🤗
Totally understand that. I feel that way more often than I'd like to admit. I think we all do. But, keep on painting and filling your days with encouragement where ever you can find it.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I do like your perseverance in painting your trees, they are beautiful, thanks
Thank you for that. I love trees so much, and I'm always exploring different ways to paint them, and always so excited to share.
I’m happy to watch your landscaping misty trees ❤
God bless
So glad you’re enjoying it, Afzal. It’s my favorite subject to paint.
Thank you. Enjoyed you being honest. Need time to paint. And no guilt. I enjoy painting so much
You’re welcome. Honesty is so important I think, especially when sharing struggles and wins with art. It’s such a journey and relatable to many.
Summer! But I love your trees! I need help.... :)
Haha summer is coming up for you! Thank you so much! I’ll keep sharing more methods and ways to paint landscapes. You’ll get to where you want to be as you keep painting. 🤍
This is wonderful, I will be trying this, thank you.
So glad you liked it, Hieu. That makes me happy!
Let me know how yours turn out.
Seasons? I live in AK, spring summer fall winter, winter, winter...wiiiiinnnntterrrrr. Not my favorite, but hey, any day I can get outside is my favorite. Glad I found your channel, you deserve a lot more subscribers!
Haha I'd say most people aren't fans of winter. I don't know what it is about it that draws me in, but I love it, lol. And I agree, getting outside is the BEST thing no matter the season. Thank you so much, Barb! Fast growth seems appealing, but I'd really like to establish a community on here, and a connection with you all through art. :)
Also, just so you know - I FEEL THIS! from the depths of my being!!! I am about to retire and all I want to do is paint!
Me too. It’s just wonderful! And I hope you get to paint as much as you can!

How do you get to the point of liking the trees your painting?
That’s a good question. Honestly, I think it’s when you can step back and stop looking at everyone else’s trees (and other art, for that matter) and truly appreciate your own work and how far you’ve come.
What paper are you using? Brand?
It’s the Arches Cold Press Watercolor paper. Love the texture.
I love this too!
Lol, appreciate your feedback!
