How you can ensure the fish you catch and keep while bank fishing stays fresh until you get home

In this video, I explain how to manage the fish you catch and plan to keep when bank fishing. It's crucial to keep them fresh and preserved until you get home. My two-step approach of fish basket and cooler with ice has these three advantages:
1. The fish are alive until you get to the cooler in your car so they do not deteriorate and stay fresh.
2. If you catch your limit, you can cull your catch by throwing a smaller fish back alive and in good shape.
3. Sometimes, when fishing, you may catch only one or two fish that day, not enough to justify the effort of going through the cleaning process. Just throw them back alive!
