Pest Control on the Yorkshire Dales.

Doing a bit of Rabbit Control on the Yorkshire Dales on one of my permissions.
I haven't got a gun dog like a Spaniel or Labrador but my old retired Lurcher likes to accompany me when I'm shooting day or night. She loves it at night because I can go into a field and shoot half a dozen rabbits, Then when I'm done I get the little lamp out and I point her to the bunnies and she trots off thinking she's back in the good old days out lamping and there's a sitter waiting for her. She brings every one back proud as punch with a wagging tail.
She's 12 this year and she's the gentlest kindest soft souled dog I've ever had.

It certainly is old chap. I’m getting old myself for this game.
Long nights and days.
I’ve been doing a lot more of the paid professional work these last few years and the Dales has been more for getting the dogs and ferrets out for some training and learning whilst on the job.
