I don't watch tik tok, so I like seeing you test them out. These all look amazing!
happy to share!
right she goes thru all the crap to bring us some gold lol
Some tips for the stroganoff dish:
- A good replacement for the stroganoff noodles are campanelle pasta.
- Wholefoods generally has the vegan Worcestershire sauce and Annie's has a good vegan Worcestershire sauce.
- Vegimite/Marmite can give the "beefy" flavor instead of or in addition to vegetable broth.
- Dried french onion soup mix is a good replacement for beef broth and many of them are vegan.
Thanks for the tips. Will definitely be trying these.
great tips!!
A lot of store brand Worcestershire sauces are vegan. Just need to read the ingredients.
Ooh thank you! I have a jar of marmite I want to use up so I appreciate that tip
@@alainadacosta1222 put it on toast with butter 🫶
Yes, yes, yes! Love one pot meals. Who doesn’t want less dishes? Thank you, Candace 🙌🏻
I just want to say, I love your tattoos :-) I always like the One Pot meals because with just me and my daughter that gives us a left overs which makes one less meal to cook, Just heat it up again the next day, saving time and probably cheaper too depending on what ingredients used. With the first recipe I'm going to try it with a TVP STARTER recipe I have in place of the vegan ground beef because I can't have gluten and most of those vegan meat substitutes are not gluten free. I do come across them from time to time but TVP (Textured Vegetable or Soy Protein) You hydrate the granules then cook it in a marinade and spices to mimic the ground and it really works.
10/10 I would/will try every one of these! Thanks, Candice! Things have been rough and time has been precious recently, you came through with some delicious help just in time. ♥
Tyfs. Hope you're having a great week!
thank you!!
That stroganoff looks soooo dang delish!! I love this kind of warm starchy comfort food it’s among my favorite types of food I wanna try all 3 of these! I’m not a vegan but I definitely want to try and veganize the stew! That looked so good and I love the beyond sausages.
It's so good!
they all looked GOOD!
thanks!!
I am from the UK and a stew and a casserole are pretty much the same thing here 😉
I’m going to have to try this!!!!!
I love this idea! These were all new to me and I am definitely going to try these out! Would love More like this!
I live in Paris and I have the tiniest kitchen (it's legit less than 2sqm), so one-pot are my go-tos because even having just 1 extra pot for pasta is a chore, so thank you for trying out those recipes!
happy to share
Love your channel. whatever you do, I enjoy watching your videos :) so wholesome.
Thank you so much!
I do crimini mushroom 🍄 stroganoff with tofutti and plant 🌱 based butter 🧈 ✨ sooooo good 🤤
wrap ideas
I loooove one pot
The best!
Pls do more one bowl, one pan meals! Do you have a video on the green goddess chopped salad?
Yummm all of these look delicious. The last one would be nice Cold too. I will wait until cooler weather rolls around here in Houston, but that Stroganoff has me super excited. This Canadian feels your -18C pain, sorry. Prices in USA going up too, ouch. My thought on $5 meal was “ Just what kind of quality ingredients were THOSE at that price?” Not. Yuk. Preservatives need to be banned. Whole food plant based best for the body. Thanks for another great vid. I laughed watching you enjoy that first dish. Super cute.
Great video!
Excellent video....appreciate your testing all the time. Definitely going to try the stew one....yum..you made it look delish!!
thanks!
Can’t wait to try these! Btw you are looking amazing!
thank you!
My favorite was the first one
so good!
Beautiful .Thank you
Thank you for watching!
Can’t wait to see these!
enjoy!
Nice video! As I already expected 😊
thanks!
I'm all over those first 2! The third looks a bit too 🥵spicy for me.
Why does soy cream not exist in America?
Alpro probably changed because Alpo is a dog food. I dgaf but subliminal association guides our purchases, so it makes sense to change, besides licensing/distribution ownership differences in other countries. Reasons I like 1 pan for pasta dishes: only 1 pan coated in pasta goo after drained that I have to wash; I don't have to drain the pasta which always ends with me having a high likelihood of burning myself or spilling pasta in the dirty sink and having to wash it. Vegan cream cheese adds a thickness and opaqueness that vegan sour cream may not Edit: didn't notice it was you veganizing lol. Yeah cream cheese is weird, but I bet it's tasty. Edit 2: Black vinegar is dope, you should totally try! Not quite like malt vinager, but definitely in the neighborhood between rice and malt, but much mellower and very umami-rich.
It is utterly ridiculous proof of animal ag subsidization, that vegan products cost more. Many family folks have told me there is no way they could go plant only because of the cost. I know there are ways to eat un-expensively, but getting people to convert what they already like...like these recipes, here, seems important to me.
I totally agree the cost is upsetting
Do vegan/vegetarians eat animal crackers? just wondering
Please take off that lipstick it's such a mess you are so beautiful you really don't need it.
Dude, that stroganoff was so easy to veganize I just shared this recipe with my friend! We’re making this next weekend for sure!
Let us know how it turns out.
I hope you love it
The Kroger brand of Worcestershire sauce is accidentally vegan, and super easy to find! Cheap as well. :)
I’ve always been afraid of cooking pasta in sauces because I am gluten intolerant and was concerned about the pasta falling apart. But I have found that Tinkyada brand of brown rice pasta can be cooked quite a while without getting mushy. It’s my fav. I like your videos that try out recipes for me. Thanks.
amazing!
I agree that noodle brand is good for holding up but I also like chickapea pasta but you just have to make sure to not have too much liquid in your one pot pastas then it won’t over cook
Tinkyada is BAE
Tinkyada is awesome
Tinkyada is where it's at!
Just a tip for the sausage one: if you have a Costco membership or know someone who does, they sell a 3pack of beyond sausage for like $10 CAD. :)
Black vinegar tastes quite different from normal, I'd recommend trying it!
I shouldn’t have watched while hungry-now I want everything!! 😅 The stroganoff looks especially delicious, so I definitely want to try it. I don’t really watch TikTok, so I’m excited to see the recipes! 🤩
happy to share!
I don't use TikTok (because mental health 😂), so I love it when you make these videos featuring stuff I wouldn't see otherwise.
Stroganoff looked good but needs mushrooms, the stew looks good but well isn’t stew always one pot🤣 (it is in my house).
Made this tonight but used mushrooms instead of vegan mince. It was absolutely delicious. I include nutritional yeast as well! Thanks for this. Perfect for an autumn evening. Love from Ireland 🇮🇪 x
Love that you tackled that first one, it looks so good (lol), and it's been a staple in my family's life for pretty much ever 🤗 Love your version, thanks Candace ❤️
I've been looking for a strogonoff recipe for a while and I think I will give that a try! I probably wont use beyond grounds or similar but I'll def try it with frozen grounds!
good idea!
Omg! I tried the stroganoff. It was🔥
Stroganoff was one of my favorite dishes that my granny would make. Thank for this recipe.
Glad you liked it!!
That stew is the ultimate slow pot Sunday vibes at Grandmas❤️❤️❤️
So good
I'd like an episode with no knead bread recipes 😀
The channel "Artisan Bread with Steve" has the easiest and most versatile recipes I've found 🎉💯✌
Made the stroganoff last night, and I'm eating leftovers right now, at 9AM. The sauce is amazing. I cooked some mushrooms first, then removed them from the pan, then made the rest and added the mushrooms back in when I added the cream cheese and sour cream. I wish I had let my pasta cook in the broth and cream a few minutes longer because it was just a hair too al dente and wouldn't soften up more once those were added. So I added more broth to try to get it liquidy enough, and that helped. The leftovers this morning are nice and soft though!
I used Impossible ground, which only has 12 ounces in a package. But with the addition of the mushrooms (8 ounces) I didn't add more and didn't change any of the rest of the ingredient measures (aside from the aforementioned addition of more broth, but that cooked down). Next time I make it I will use at least 16 ounces of beefless ground, because the bits of "meat" were soooooo good in this recipe. And maybe more mushrooms, too, because mushrooms.
I’m born bred and reared in Ireland and that is definitely the most Irish/Scottish meal I’ve seen😂😅
it really is!
Love the video! Literally learn about all the TikTok trends from your videos 😂 love a good stroganoff though. I checked out mealsbymitch and you had me cracking up though! His accent is from West Midlands (near Birmingham), not Scotland! Don’t blame you though, we have way too many accents 😁😁😅
I know this video is a year old but if you are reading this comment…. Go TRY ALL OF THESE!!! Deliciousness 🤤
Its nothing against you but i love how these video are always '' Easy vegan meals '' but 2/3 of the ingredients CANT be found in rural place :'( It sucks... I cant make these recipes, makes me wonder why its so hard to eat vegan after all these years of trying. We can never win
Hey beautiful lady! Thanx for veganizing these! I’m here on the Vt/Canadian border and feel you with the food prices!! That stroganoff looked amaaazing 😻! Although after making a homemade vegan ricotta and hand stuffing two pans of manicotti last night I need those quick easy noodles in my life today ❤️💋😇
thank you!
Ooh that sounds delicious!
for all the Aussies the cheap Coles brand Worcestershire sauce is vegan. Loved these recipes!
Amazing tip!!
Good to know, fellow Aussie here🇦🇺
My favourite one pot meals are chili (crock pot), and spaghetti alla puttanesca (Dutch oven on the stove). I mean, aren't soups considered onepot meals? 🤣😂 I also make a really good chow mein noodle one pot dish. Never pasta in the oven though unless it's a cheeze bake.
its been a while since i've watched your vids but HOLY SHIT YOU LOOK AMAZING WITH GINGER HAIR
These look so good, I love cozy and and warming meals. Would you mind linking the tik toks? Would make it easier for future reference :). I don't have tik tok so I do enjoy these recipe test videos!
hey no hate, but your chili garlic noodles could be better(?) i understand some ingredients might be hard to obtain in your area, but i heavily suggest you use rice noodles instead of wheat and actually using black vinegar (it doesn't taste the same as rice vinegar). i recommend you look up more chili garlic noodle recipes too as it's pretty much a vegan dish on its own! 😊
Great video! We featured your video this week on our website on our "Concessions" page. Link is in my bio!
Vegan recipe substitutes like these make food taste so awesome and guilt free. I stopped the vid to look up that woman screaming "That's my opinion!" 0:33 😂
Yeah it's weird, the only difference between stew and casserole here is that one is cooked on the hob (stew) and the other (casserole) in the oven - and even that's not a hard and fast rule. What you guys call a casserole we'd call a bake.
My husband made carrot steaks with a veggie gravy one night over a bit of rice. It was pretty good but I wonder if you could come up with a vegan steak dinner
Carrot steaks? I'm so curious!
Were can you find soy whipping or silk whipping cream in Canada I am from Ontario cannot find.anywhere?
I'm loving the comedic clips throughout the video 😂
thank you!!
More yummy 😋 recipes from Candice the Edgy Veg. It was great to see Candice veganise a Scottish & Irish recipe. Another excellent video and love 🥰 it. Love 💕Candice from Scotland.
thanks!
How about a video on your indoor garden? I have a homemade one and would love your thoughts as well as how to use it all up. Single person here Thanks!
OMG, Candice! The stroganoff...SO GOOOOOD!!!!!! Thank you!
The stroganoff looks absolutely delicious.
I'm not a fan of sausage. I might just use tofu or TVP. It would be good without the sausages.
I love pasta. I would omit the chili flakes as my stomach can't deal with spicy. But it definately looks like a very quick yummy dinner.
That substitution would work! And you can play around with the taste as well to suit your preferences.
Minus 18 degrees??? Still??? I live in Vancouver and I barely wear all my cute outfits because I'm just frozen all the time. I absolutely couldn't live ANYWHERE else in this wretched blizzard country. Don't get me wrong, Canada is great for many reasons but weather isn't one of them and I need out. Pronto.
Love your channel!!
haha I totally get that
They have egg noodles without eggs. lol. I've gotten them before. They all 3 looked really good.
I wonder if they changed the name of Alpro for North America because of the Alpo dog food?
I'm irish and the sausage casserole was a staple in our house growing up (and still is hahaha)
Thank you for making these videos! I love your content ❤️
New here…. Where are the actual recipes (measurements)? Thank you so much!
These all look delicious! Saving your vid to watch again when I’m ready to cook 👩🍳
enjoy!!
How am I JUST finding you??? 🙌🙌🙌😎🇨🇦
The silk whipping cream in the states is so sweet even though it’s says no sugar added.
when I don't have eggless egg noodles I break up lasagna noodles and it's super close.
The stroganoff looks incredible 😍 Will have to try!
Are you planning to post these modified recipes to your blog? I’d like to be able to pin the stroganoff and the stew to save for later!
I live in Canada and for a Fiver you can buy maybe 2 bags of Onions. lol
I think one-pot meals are ace and...
Cheaper or "off brands" of Worcestershire sauce are often vegan, but some are tastier than others so find the one you like the best. A tablespoon of good Tamari could also be used if all else fails.
Good point!
Didn't know you used to live in Germany. Are you part german as well? Hi from Baden Württemberg
yes!
Ya gotta make hamburger helper with beyond meat it's amazing
Can you do one with more like viral traditionally vegan foods? Ei no mock meat, mock eggs, mock cheese... there's some communities where veganism mock products arent even a thing that are up to 99% plant based by coincidence/affordability eating things like rice, corn, lentils, fruit, vegetables, seeds, tubers ect... I don't know what happened to America that we ended up with diets on average over 30% animal based (global Average is 18%)
Most of her recipes are full of fat and salt.😒
The second dish looks very similar to makkarakeitto, a finnish dish
That strogonoff needed mushrooms 110%
If it was my recipe I 100% would add them
Please tell me how you were able to get that deep red shade (using vegan makeup I assume). Please let me know the brand/ color!
KVD beauty !
Im having a hard time finding the recipe breakdown?
whaaaat alpro is belsoy for you guys....??? 😱🤯😂 haha yes... like why
no idea haha
Love your channel! I’m going to try the last one you did. Also, I’m looking for a great oatmeal cookie recipe. The one on the box is so…not great.
I veganized the oatmeal cookie recipe from the back of package of ocean spray dried cranberries. The best ever!
great suggestion!!
Why are all the great vegan UA-camrs in Canada!?!?!? I need to get the hell of out Florida.
haha it's the cold, makes us great cooks because we can't leave the house
Kroger worchestershire is accidentally vegan.
New here, Sophie from France 🇫🇷 ;))
Chinese Black vinegar actually has a slight worcestershire flavor to it. If you added a tiny bit of that it would add a similar profile.
Spaghetti or lasagna with vegan cheese plant based meat
Mom's... mom's are making one pot meals go viral lol
I kinda like your foods, because I like that food have somekind of taste, and it makes me sad why so many vegan chef make food so tasteless, while actually vegan food have more taste.
Vegan food cooked by actual vegans is very rarely without flavour, in my experience.
I recommend Rainbow Plant Life's recipes too
i cant find any of these on the edgy veg web site ;_;
Could you test some healthy recipes?
Definitely need this since I live by myself.. :(
happy to help
so the last dish is basically spaghetti aglio olio?
Black vinegar is much more complex and closer to a balsamic vinegar, but thicker and not as sweet. Rice vinegar likely completely changed the flavor of this dish
