So happy I came across your page. Im a portrait painter so paint foliage and forest is out of my norm. My current painting is going to have a rainy first background. This is so helpful. I always overthink paintings so paint nature stresses me out. I’m always trying to get every detail. Lol this helped my brain break it down

Thank you, Kevin. Beautiful. I've painted for fifty years and you have recently added to my skills . Tips on brush choices and use are especially useful. One thing you are very good at is adding something arresting, different or a bit of mystery, like is accomplished with lighting in this painting. I have always thought it was the key to a paintings appeal.
