I could really hear a reggae sound throughout the song. The pink and blue colors and corresponding lyrics I believe relate to left and right sides of the brain and the rolls they perform. Maybe someone has more info on that.

The one complaint I have about Ren is I get into enjoying and appreciating his lyrical poetry and then he shift's into such a high gear I can't keep up. But he's also the type you don't just skip it and appreciate only the music. I want to got back, read the lyrics...listen again...rinse and repeat.
Making friends with the pain likely my favorite line. Fits well...Many like to move on but I seem to hang onto pain... anger...frustration... They're just tools. They can be destructive but they can also be easily redirected toward good and provide motivation for positive change...if you choose to use them that way. An industry conference I spoke at one of my slides was full of qualities stereo typically though of as 'negative' and I went through how they could be leveraged in productive positive ways. Everything in life is a choice. Even situations you can't control. You have choice in how you respond...feel...etc.

Yes, sometimes I need to revisit his songs and read the lyrics in order to understand it.
He makes it easy to get lost in the melody.
And yes, that's a great line. I took it to a different direction though, that even though the pain that others have caused you, you are still making them. Not shutting off and being alone. I also thought that maybe this meant, that trauma, or difficult events that were shared with someone, can build a strong relationship- because you survived it together.
That's something I really appreciate with Ren, he makes you think about the lyrics.

Thank you so much! "Hold on" was written when he was at his sickest point with Lyme Disease, it's just so hard to imagine him being so sick at able to write that song. You will be glad u checked it out
I like the vibe with this one, much more uplifting than Ren's usual stuff, even though he still includes all his signature topics, like using the downs for momentum to reach the ups. Still, these two's other collab, "Ocean", feels more like my pocket of jams. Though it really needs a lyric version to keep up. I can't remember you checking that one out, so highly recommend it if so.

The “usual” is such a vague statement.
A lot of reactions are to the same songs everyone else has already seen. If you dive deeper into his music you’ll find he’s far more diverse.
Listen to the Freckled Angels album in the entirety if you want uplifting music.

Really don’t know what to make of this 🤯 It was fun from the point of view of the instrumental parts, the lyrics were a bit dark but relatable to. Not so keen on his rap parts but hey that’s just me and my taste in music. 🌹

It must be great living in the Poppy life you live in , where everything is amazing....... As ren says, most of us are not lucky enough to show people round our apartment, because for ordinary people their life is grime and shit......but well done you
curation man, no one wants to watch someone complain. she has her problems like everyone else, she's even expressed some to us. and she shows that clearly when expressing her appreciation of us, try not to view so much from just your perspective.
Not really sure how to respond to this, so I'll just be honest and give you my side:
My life isn't as poppy as you might think. As @twistedpixel756 already replied to you, I have shared that I have my own demons and my own struggles in life.
I'm not keen on sharing too much on social media, and don't believe that sitting around moping about will fix it.
Even in dark times, I like to challenge myself to look at the positive, look at the bright and "poppy" side.
Some days I lose that challenge, some days - I own it!
Whatever it is you are going through, I hope you'll accept the challenge and try to see the good, the fun, the bright and poppy. 🙏
