@@doggking001 the issue you have is the V2 must run a restricted ECU read expensive. The RS660 is unreliable garbage typical of Aprilia. Zx6 (unless you're ordering a proper 6r not a 636 it's spaghetti chassis wise)

CF Moto seems to be very popular with the younger crowd. I've seen a ton of young guys in my area riding them. Tons of cheap options with low maintenance costs to get started motorcycling!

Not surprised it didn't make the video since it was only just announced, but my bike to watch for next year is the Triumph Tiger Sport 800. I was looking at the GSXS1000 GT+, but thought it might be too much of a jump in power coming off a 10 year old Versys 650, or the Moto Guzzi V100 which is classy and characterful but expensive for what it is. I've heard good things about Triumph but their previous offerings straddled the line between not enough of an upgrade, or well outside my budget. But then they drop the TS800 which looks like it should nail the kind of price, power, and character I'm looking for, without wasting any energy pretending it can go offroad. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in red. They've already got the paint for the 900GT, just give me that color on the 800! Maybe they'll come around by MY2026...
The Tiger Sport 800 in that cosmic yellow color they use on the Street Triple 765 RS looks amazing IMO. But yeah even with the updated Trident and Speed Twin, I think the Tiger Sport is going to be the one that makes the most waves in 2025. I agree that the engine + tech package + price is a pretty attractive combination.

Had the opportunity to check out the new R9 at Barbers a few weeks back. Should be quite a fun setup for those who have reasonable expectations and aren’t demanding a full WSSP bike for the street.
Its a direct replacement to the R6. The R9 is replacing the R6 in most major championships. Anyone that doesnt upgrade will be not be competitive. The R6 is cooked. It'll be just for street posers as all the racers will move on to the better platform.
Updated MT07/Trident 660, and possible NK version of the new CFMoto 675SS are what I'm mot interested in. I'd include a CBR or Hornet version of Honda's 755 twin but I've lost faith they will ever sell it in the US. I did get to sit on a 675SS at a CFMoto demo last weekend. Very nice quality looking bike but I'm not wanting sport bike ergo's and I'm concerned weight might be more than I'm looking for too.

The ones that i am looking forward to are the Tiger Sport 800 and the Hornet 1000. Kawasaki also dropped a teaser for a Z bike, which is also tempting, because it could be either a new Z1100 or the Z900 finally gets updated to current standards.

Yes the frame is totally new not a reworked MT frame. The fact they were sorting out the race bike before they ever officially announced the R9 should tell you they are serious.
The new Speed Twin lineup is either under equipped or overpriced. I'd highly recommend anyone interested in one, to just grab a '24 before they're all sold. No the '24 isn't $12,500 anymore, but it's better than what's coming.

I'm a little sad for the loss of the Thruxton RS. But then again, I've not really seen anyone riding them out in the real world in my part of the US. At the same time, I asked the only local dealer about the Daytona 660 - and they for whatever reason, refuse to order one to even try to sell it. Man, my area sucks. I really do need to move to like eastern TN.
Unfortunately, it will add to the already higher than should be price, but that's apparently the cost of getting to the top of Triumph's classic lineup.
@@Ephem13 I just find the Thruxton RS to be one of the few near dealer perfect looking bikes. The honesty of it is, I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much as I do my Suzuki 8R on the twisty backroads. I just think it's both a fantastic looking and sounding bike. And also, the only Triumph dealer around me is a TERRIBLE dealer. They let bikes get damaged on the showroom floor, and then try to charge the customer or salesperson to fix said damage at time of sale. I was really hoping the dealer I bought my last 3 bikes from would add Truimph to their showroom but opted for CanAm. Which makes since for them and the area we are in (as side by sides are very popular).
I wanna see the newly announced cb1000r hornet come to the u.s. as someone who currently has and loves a Cbr1000 and wants a naked liter bike I would love to have that same Honda platform with a better riding position.
There is still a chance that with them developing a V4 for MotoGP they're also simultaneously working on a new V4 road bike. Not guaranteed as sales of the R1 weren't that great but it's definitely a possibility

I'm really curious about how CF Moto is gonna hold up in reality. If I was looking for a new middleweight right now that would seriously have to be an option. It's the only manufacturer that seems to be sticking to Supersport standards. The GSXR750 needs an update so badly, how sad is it that it remains untouched and still a contender after all these years. And it's gonna take a Chinese company to up the anti and push some performance specs we should expect for our money after all these years of R&D from Japan.

The Speed Twin 1200 RS has an optional cafe racer seat and clip on handlebars as an option. So the Thruxton didn't really go anywhere.
