Yeah! and we can see, how they get light sentences when they do something towards women. It is around ten months, or a simple apology, but when they are involved with drugs, the sentences are around 4 years or more. It clearly shows how these countries care more about things like drugs, than women suffering violence. They are right to punish people since drugs are illegal, but, man...how can drugs have a worst sentence than women being mistreated or a man sleeping with an underage girl.

Sadly, many aimed to destroyed them as many believe this and bullying the actor. Park have Jin has suffered depression from a very young age. We like to cancel people before listen to their side of story.

Why i want to throw that around? You can refer the original. The body shaming come from Happy Together when Yoo Jae Suk asked him to be a plastics surgeon. and in Family outing, they are playing a dating game. He mispronounced the word, he already apologized.. Why defamation, bcause it was created to misinformed. They took it out of context and did not tell the whole story. For example the interview for Champage. They did not tell that he visited the bar with friend for diner. If he is transphobic, why he went there? and he told that the bartender said he looked pretty and offered him to work there. this whole Kim Hyun Joong thing has alredy been settled. he apparently hit her once accidentally when training martial arts, but it wasn't nearly as severe as she had claimed, as hospital documents (and her friends) proved in court. that's why she had to pay him.

There was so much more to this incident with X, and her lies were uncovered in court from manipulation, seeing multiple guys while dating him, as everyone stated the hitting was an accident because he was training for a movie role and he apologized. I just happened upon this video and I’ve got to say I’m constantly shocked how how misogynistic Korean society is. I’ve read countless articles where men avoid punishment by saying they were too drunk to remember and they end up with suspended sentences

For example, those comments he made about people's looks was just because he was asked by the MC to play the part of a plastic surgeon. So he made comments the way a lot of plastic surgeons do to make people insecure enough to do plastic surgery. It was edited by a hater and taken out of context to make him look like a superficial jerk but if you watch/read his interviews you would know he's really not the type of person to care much about looks. And him saying the word "gold digger" was just him reading from a script and accidentally mispronouncing. It's supposed to be funny but some hater decided to edit the video and spread fake news about how he's always judging people based on looks. He also said he went to a transgender bar for dinner and the bartender asked him if he wanted to work there. I found out about Lee Kyung Young a couple of years ago. Such a fantastic actor, I couldn't get over it. This guy is in everything. He must have serious dirt on people in high places because that incident did absolutely nothing to his career. If anything, he's more revered. Yoo Yeon Seok is the poster boy for male misogyny. Kim Hyun Joong was also found to be completely innocent. His ex admitted in court to lying about everything, and was ordered by the court to pay him the maximum allowed by law.

This is said to hear that SK tolerates these men very well😢. In the US and other nations, though we have inequality here but a man talking and acting openly rude to women are not tolerated even though they are celebrities. Many are punished by not only public opinion but by losing fan base. Some might survive a little but I notice more tolerance are placed to Japan and SK society for this kind of man’s behavior. PARK HAE JIN - is my favorite actor of all times I didnt know any of this so it comes as a shock to me I definitely cant see him the same anymore because of the way he speaks about women but as an actor I love his work gosh that is heart shattering.
KIM HYUN JOONG - I knew all this but I really loved his work specially on Playful Kiss and Boys over Flowers he really was one of my favorites back then.

Is it too much for people to say a culture is just different rather than trying to impose your own belief system on them? Listing things you think are unattractive about women is a far cry from advocating for or perpetuating rape and sexual assault. As someone already mentioned, people do have physical preferences for the opposite sex. Anytime I've been insulted to my face about my looks in the U.S. it's been from other women (or very feminine acting men) and it's been clearly malicious. From what I hear about South Korea, anyone will basically insult your appearance to your face at any time regardless of age or gender but it's simply bluntness. They aren't saying it to hurt your feelings. It's so you can "improve" yourself.
