I'm astonished that this is your first speed paint, I can tell you observe a lot about your references and you take care to notice every detail. I love that and really appreciate that since I love trying to be as accurate as possible and to let every dimension and color difference sink in. It's the beauty of not just realistic art but all art. ❤
Bec this is amazing LOL! My first digital piece was a hot disaster. I feel the same way about tracing, it's a learning tool, and that's what I did for a ton of my earlier drawings! About time- If you go into your piece, then to settings, then canvas you can click through some options to view the time it took you, the amount of brush strokes, color profile, and you can sign the art, etc!
Hello bec! As an experienced digital artist, I say it’s ok to trace and even teach you a method, you can use simple shapes as circles or weird forms and trace but fill the space of the horse with them, after that, get rid of the photo and use it as reference only, then you try using the anatomy forms to guide you! If you are whiling to try ibis paint soon I can share my brushes with you, I have very good render brushes and as those airbrushes can make the drawings blurry but new ibis users normally use them I would be there to help with any aspect! Good journey!

@@Vivihorsesegames thank you so much!
Do you recommend using a light blur for blending the colors kinda? If that makes sense
I'm not sure what you mean by that, I just used the smudge tool in the same brush as my normal brush!
