5 Truck Camping Safety Essentials
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лип 2024
- In this video we go over 5 of my top items to help you stay safe while out camping!
The first essential item is a well-stocked first aid kit. Make sure it includes items such as bandages, gauze, antiseptic, and pain relievers. It's also a good idea to include any medications you or your travel companions might need.
The second essential item is a fire extinguisher. Make sure it's rated for use on all types of fires, including electrical and gasoline fires. Keep it easily accessible in case of an emergency.
The third essential item is a personal locator beacon. This device can help rescuers find you in case of an emergency, such as if you become lost or injured. Make sure it's fully charged and keep it with you at all times.
The fourth essential item is a multi-tool. This versatile tool can be used for a variety of tasks, including cutting, prying, and opening cans. Look for one that's durable and has a variety of useful tools.
The fifth and final essential item is a reliable communication device. This can be a cell phone, two-way radio, or satellite phone. Make sure you have a way to communicate with others in case of an emergency or if you need help.
Thanks for watching!

That's handy stuff man,,, two years ago I got tagged by a six ft long eastern diamondback rattlesnake in the Appalachians, I only made it about fifty ft to where I couldn't walk at all, without my phone I wouldn't be here now, and was lucky I had a signal,,,, don't go into the mountains without some insurance, like you said,,, you never know what may happen !
That sounds rough! Glad you made it out 🍻
Great video. I'd add the following:
1) Ear plugs in case you're camping near a high traffic area
2) One of those 3D eye masks to nap during the day
3) A decent rechargeble portable fan. I bought one off of Amazon a while back for $20. Life saver during the heat and you can take it anywhere outside with you, like in your tent.
4) Tape and shovel for your recreational murder spree
5) Water
Lastly for me, a Smith & Wesson. It gets crazy out there these days.
Good info for those who like to get outside, whether it be a day trip to the park or an out of the way camp out!
Safe travels
Another good thing to have in your medkit is a Tourniquet, and know how to use it.
Godspeed!
Great idea 💡
Hey Quady
Thanks for your Safety Essential List !!
Love the Channel
Impossible to prepare for the unexpected but having those 5 is a good start. 👍
It helps to be a boy scout
That's a great public service announcement from the Crazy Q-man. One more thing that I always have on me ( in a ankle "holster" ) is a CAT ( combat action tourniquet ). Being able to stop a major bleed-out is likely the difference between life or death.
Good job Quady, now get back out there camping!
Definitely added these 5 Things to my list for my pops! We’re going on a month long camping trip soon and we want to be fully prepared! This video couldn’t of been more perfectly timed🙏🏻❤️Thank You Crazy! keep it up
I’ve seen some truck campers that have cctv systems setup so they can monitor outside their truck when they are camped out in the bed. Especially good if you cover up or black out your windows.
Hello Quady thank you for this video and the tips for 5 things to always have on your trip have a great week 🙏💖
Thanks Liz!
And off to the next spot! Safe travels
EXCELLENT video Mike, very useful info.
I still need 1 through 3 and a CB. Better step up my safety game. Thanks for sharing man 🍻
Get it done man!
@@CrazyQuady Question, what's your schedule about when you post another video?
Don't forget the seat belt cutter and the window breaker that you keep in the front of your truck just in case you go into some flooding place and can't get out of your car. you can slice that seat belt open and break the window out and you are free.
Awesome vid.. Dont forget the bear spray or a side arm if you csn depending on state laws, etc.. Also, a good knife, axe, saw and a supply of back up food, balnket, etc.. Foldable shotgun is best..
I don’t see myself camping , but a few of these items will definitely be put in my car 💪🏽
Well, once the bio digital currency chip that includes your vaccine status for the next Plan Dem ic is implemented, we might all find ourselves camping (sans car, and phone , etc) 🥶
@@TruthIris There's one in every crowd...
I would add pressure bandages or any type of bandages to my first-aid kit for snake-bite first aid. Proper snake-bite first aid is the difference between life and possible death,
Great items to have Mike
I also would like to add a seat belt cutter and a window breaker you would keep it in the front of your truck so if in case you go off a bridge or end up in some water source you can cut the seat belt quickly and break the window they do have them set belt cutter and a window breaker in the same tool.
Awesome as always Mike thanks so much for sharing these are great items to have with you at all times.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
You're the Man.
Stay awesome as always.
Smart people know how to unbuckle a seatbelt so a cutter is useless.
Very good idea!
@@ForkInTheRoad33 but not if the seat belt is stuck
I’m a ham radio operator I have one mounted in my truck and if I’m out in the woods I usually carry a hand held.
The homie Mike just got his ham license, I may look into it
Thanks for this, and if you’re truck camping also add a basic recovery kit with a snatch strap and a lithium battery jump starter. Plus a bunch of lighters. 👍🏽
Thanks for sharing!!! Go to know what we need 👍
Thanks Crazy Q, some good advice there. Looking forward to the next video. Have a good week!
Hey great video! We all need to be reminded now and then about those safety essentials! Keep up the good work man!
I love this! Thank you Mike!!
And that was Your safety 101 with crazy quady for today 👍👊
🍻
Thank you for sharing this and it's great tips
Thanks for the info this are things that we forgot to do and is very important ❣️
Short n sweet but BRILLIANT advice stay safe til next time xx
Great advice! Thanks 👌
Thank you
An excellent video! As you know well, things can, and do, happen. My only suggestion, as you mentioned it, would be to get a ham radio license and radio. The test is not that hard or expensive, and you can get radios really cheap. Quady, as much time as you spend on the road in away from everybody, I would strongly suggest you go that route. It's just another safety device! Stan KC0OPW
Cheers🍻
Great list man, never knew that story about breaking your leg, that sounds like a horrible experience but Im glad you turned it into something that has given us all so much entertainment. We love your content, keep on keeping on!
Good list of safety items. Thanks for sharing the video.
Thanks for the video crazy. You the man
Nice Quady, we all need to have these items in our cars, great to see you and the channel evolve and the ending was great those editing skills are better and better . 😍👊
Great video with great advice. I need to pack some of these things. 👍
Simple yet effective 👌
add a lighter/sparking steel. Just in case. Great video Sir.
Cool ideas and Great information!
❤️ Your Videos!
Every time I finish work you hav a vid up top notch brother 👌
🍻
Good list Mike!
Your videos are awesome bubba.
Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for tuning in!
Good info!
Ah hell I will mention elephant in the room… tote dat steel family I know a lot of campers can’t mention it as they may loose subs but tote dat steel family! 17+1
Is that safety or self-defense, same-same but different? 🤔
@@CrazyQuady it is the same self defense is making sure you are safe, I understand you can’t speak on that subject much but thanks for the reply bro much respect
@@OJ4HIRE
Second Amendment all the way-👏🏼!
@@anna27446 ah yes fellow steel toter, cheerz!
@@OJ4HIRE Cheers! 🥃
Firearm would’ve been number one on my list!
Stay safe and have fun out there handsome Quad...keep rocking out in your graysies...lol
Great video
Ann .
You did 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
nice vid CQ. I agree with Stan. the FCC test to become a tech class ham operator is not difficult. reliable radios that are small and inexpensive are readily available.
Hello hope you have a great time
Thanks for tuning in, Faye 👍
sup quady
love the video. per usual keep up the awesome work
🙌
Dang thought you were going to forget the camera, nice video
You forgot beer,if you bring plenty of cold beer 🍻 you don't need the first 5 items on your list 🤣
Very nice public service announcement 👍🏽
Crazy that truck sure clean. It’s white.
I try to wash it once in a while 😂
@@CrazyQuady well it looks good
I would also include Bear spray in my kit
I keep my fire extinguisher next to my head area in my setup. If there is a fire I don’t want my extinguisher out of reach and potentially BEHIND the fire next to the exit.
It’s also a little self protection too 😂 because whatever bear is trying to get in will get a blast to the face 💨🐻
2 👍👍 up bro safe travels
👉🏼Would switch out GPS for a whistle. Inexpensive, compact, easy to use and sound carries to assist search teams find you.
👉🏼Would also add fire starting device. A pocket lighter, also inexpensive, compact and useful to create fire … useful for signal or warmth.
Love watching your mini adventures
Can you do a video on your CB radio please .. I’ve always wanted one .
Wow man. I didn’t know the full story of how you broke your leg. Good thing for cell phones!!
Ok. I just went find the live feed of after 1 year of the accident. Wow that was a nasty break!!! On another note. Someone replied to my first comment saying that I won on a giveaway you are doing. I’m sure that is not correct. You don’t talk about giving away stuff like that so I’m sure it is a scam.
Ok, that's great advise so let's go over these one at a time.....😂
#1 1st aid kit just in case you fall off a skateboard or something 😂
#2 Fire extinguisher because you never know when your cooking with a heater buddy, a crock pot, an electric fan or a 2 burner Coleman in the back of your truck 😅
#3 Garmin GPS for those times when you are lost while axle deep in mud and you leave all your gear behind 🤣
#4 Knife/multi tool to maybe pry open a few doors if you continually lock yourself out of cabins etc 😂😢
#5 Cell phone so you can call an ambulance after the skateboard accident, fire brigade during fire, phone a friend's bro when you are axle deep, call a locksmith if you need to get in and a phone to record all the above shinnanigans 😂😂
ya forgot item 6. A bottle of Jack just incase 1 thru 5 go to shiat GREAT VIDEO BRAU
I just need to install my CB radio still. -JDeere
Get after it homie! And don't forget to swr tune the antenna 👍
Yesss! We got the engine this time......😎😎🤣
Another great video! I’ve never heard you mention it before(maybe I missed it) but do you carry a firearm on your adventures ?
I once set a large area of a campground on fire. We got to a campsite and I put some wood in the fire ring. Got some lantern oil/gasoline mix on it and it immediately ignited from covered embers. The flames came right up to my hand and my only thought was to throw the container.
Thats wild!
Not necessarily a safety item but I carry a Hulkman Alpha battery jump starter with me. I can jump start my vehicle with it without needing a 2nd vehicle. It can also charge a cell phone etc and has a flashlight and emergency light built in. It’s a really compact high quality product with multiple uses.
I have a jump pack in the truck
Hey brother can you add those item in the description like you do with the other camping equipment
Quady always got them dab carts on deck
Very educational, thank you, sir, since I camp also, but how about a rifle? or a small pistol?
That would be classified as self defense, not safety in my opinion
What about protection-hand gun in particular. If you're stuck in the back of your truck, away from your cab to start the truck, what do you do if someone approaches and you figure out they are up to no good? Only thing that daunts my camping beyond our local park!
Any tips for a bathroom? I carry a unisex urinal in my suv incase if a massive traffic jam that lasts for days and I don’t want get out of my car and go in a ditch like others have too. What about if number 2 arises. What do you use?
Where did you get the cooler with the lid light? Can't seem to find one anywhere.
What about the Glock for the crazies? That should number 1
What size is your camper shell if you don’t mind me asking?
for the first aid kit i think an antihistamine is very important. stung, bit or food allergy. it even work on animals if they get stung by a bee and their throat swell up. not fun had that happen twice.
Are you still using the tailgate shock on your truck?
What is the brand of the spare tire mount?
at the end of your videos I always think you're gonna forget your camera on the outro shot one of these days and the next clip will be you at home like... welp. LOL.
Anyone who has ever camped more than a few times without a bathroom available should know how important anti-diarrhea meds are!
Funny story....I mailed you something a little spicy straight from the company, so it will not say who it is from. Then....I accidentally kept your shipping address on my order of a trial 3- pack of something else, so you'll be getting those too. I'm such a newb at this. 🤣🤣
So did you get these on Amazon?
What about a prophylactic in case you get attacked by lot lizards 🦎 while your on the road.
🤣🤣
Awesome. Bonus tip - Glock 19
Hello Crazy Q. Is it almost time for Van life
Wasnt near as boring as the military videos at boot camp....good job.
😂 I could make it worse
This vid had a workplace safety video vibe. 🤣
😂 Definitely!
Crazy Quad-e hehehe
You for got number 6 &7 CQ Hot sauce and Beer can’t for get those
🤣 those are the opposite of the safety list!
@@CrazyQuady yea like you said you never what happens out there
I happen to notice that you have firearm . What’s your opinion on it do you carry do you not ? I believe you should
I'd like to suggest that you move your fire extinguisher in the back from behind your cooler and put it in someplace more reachable from your bed.
If you got a fire in your truck bad you don't want to have to dig behind the cooler to get your fire extinguisher
It was more the though that it was also easily accessible from outside
@CrazyQuady Ah, thats a thought, too. I was thinking about a fire that started while cooking.
P.S. Thanks for the reply. I appreciate that you do so, so often.
Those turkey's might be ugly but there mum will love them but they will be so tasty on one of your videos 😂 love your videos bro so keep them up 🤙
Number 1 is a gun!
AYEEE
🙌
And a satellite phone and something for protection.
Crazy quady giving safety tips I'm not sure about that lol
I had no idea you fell and broke your leg man!
$hit happens!
Grms radio License $35 you just got pay no test
