Well Hey, your right, that's your opinion, i respect your right to say it but, i just have to disagree, Yes he is very talented, i see no form of disrespect to any of the jazz masters period, and all the things that he has done for the jazz community, is astonishing, Wynton Marsalis is a hero and a mentor, and has given back countless times to his community, and the younger generation's jazz. and i'll be forever working to get near the position he is in now.

we can nvr really define jazz. wynton focuses on the preservation of the tradition. nothing wrong with that, and nothing wrong wit the more modern jazz styles. i dun think wynton should disrespect ppl like miles n ppl should not disrespect wynton.

Nope, just an observation and opinion that has been confirmed by various Jazz musician friends, colleagues, students, etc. that have the unfortunate pleasure of meeting this dude....He's talented, i'll give heim that, but his whole speil about Traditional Jazz is bullshit....and let's not mention his total disrespect for cats like Miles and Sun Ra. I'll put it bluntly: I'll listen to his brother Branford before I listen to him, PERIOD!!!
